Hey ! I live in Sweden and love watching videos like this! The difference is that we Swedes generally do not use as much semi-finished products as in other countries. We have completely different packaging, although it is the same brand on certain things as well, which has its advantages and disadvantages when storing things. The most common is that we have a high cabinet in our kitchens, as a wardrobe with shelves whether you live in an apartment or in a villa, while you have a pantry the size of our smaller walk-in closets! If you have like you, it is much easier to find everything you have but also to organize things so it looks nice. In fact, we do not have the same range of storage boxes and cans etc. which you have. Maybe it's because our pantries are different between us and you. In any case, my dream is to have a really well-organized pantry. I like to have food at home, there should always be basic goods, especially dry goods such as pasta, rice, etc. I grew up never counting what is in the jar, I have flour in it and only a packet of flour unopened, so I only count the unopened. Mom taught me that broken packages do not always contain the amount that is on the package! In addition, my mother was a post-war child and it was different at the time. When Corona, there was no toilet paper to buy in Sweden, I had so it lasted longer than most, because I bunker up with such things. Of all things in the world, the entire Swedish population would have toilet paper when the whole country was in a crisis, very ironic !! Sweden has also shut down nuclear reactors and will focus on wind, solar and electric power plants to meet the climate goal in Europe. Unfortunately, this means that our electricity is not enough and we have to buy electricity from other countries !! Therefore, we Swedes in the future can expect large and long power outages that today's population is not used to. So my plan is to try to get order here at home to be able to store emergency food, which then usually consists of things that are not for everyday canned food, garbage that only needs hot water and other dry goods. But also consumables such as toilet paper! I have received many good tips on how I want to use my pantry and which would work for my family, thank you so much for your video! Love Marie ❤️
Moving from a small apartment with a tiny pantry to a house with a walk-in pantry! I've never had a walk-in so I'm so excited to get started on organizing it. Hubby & I are trying to eat as much of our food as we can before we move so this video is reminding me of what staples I need to stock up on. 😘

Great organizational skills. I love being able to see what I am running low on at a glance. It makes shopping so much easier plus you will have less expired food.
This is seriously my DREAM pantry! I have the tiniest pantry! It is somewhat organized in containers but it’s hard because it’s tall and narrow so it’s hard to really organize and stay organized.
I will say clear containers were a game changer in my pantry. Now we can see how much we have or what we need to work on eating up. We waste so little food now bc we did clear containers!! I’m a Mississippi girl in a Louisiana world. My mother is from Alabama. So glad I found your channel.

Your moms house is so pretty. That pantry is amazing!! So much space.. I'm like your mom and like to be stocked up.. I stock up when things go on sale, or just in case things go out of stock and take awhile to come in. We also shop weekly for fresh things but it's nice to be able to pull something together if decided at the last minute.

I didn’t see a link for the labels you made on the cricut Joy. That would be extremely helpful for me. I’m a newbie I have only made a handful of projects on it. No labels yet. Also your parents and I have a lot of the same food taste there were so many brands and types of food I keep on my pantry as well. This video is very inspiring because of that. Helps give me ideas for organizing my own. 🙂

my pantry looks exactly like that...but we do live in a hurricane prone area so, I'm always having to keep well stocked up....you did a great job on your parents pantry.
I like to keep a 3 - 6 month working pantry stocked up then I only have to go to the store for fresh items like bread, milk and eggs about every 2 weeks. This method saves me so much money in the long run. The key is only stocking up on items that you USE and EAT then using them. I like to go to Costco once a month for my pantry items and my local store for fresh items.
Hi melina , I started watching your video last week . With your pantry make over at your house . It inspired me to organize my pantry . So I did a dollar tree and Walmart budget . It's not a big pantry it's a standard size one . And by the way I am in love with your pantry by the way .

Love organization videos!😍 I like to keep one extra in the pantry of regularly used items. When we use something up and grab the extra out of the pantry, we right it on the grocery list to replace.
I am in awe how much stuff is in there 😄 I am the „buy as you need“ type, because my heart bleeds if something expires. As a result I can proudly say, I can’t remember when I threw something away. I just doesn’t happen and that’s my tribute to Mother Earth. I love those steps to but the cans on! Pretty neat, need to get me one of those! Thanks for the great video ♥️

I always kept a 1 month pantry stock, my husband is paid monthly but since Covid we switched to a 3 Month so we could avoid trips to the store. Ready to return to a monthly pantry.
I’m a little bit of both like you. I stay stocked up on things like snacks, taco seasoning, gravy mix, stuff like that. But I can’t plan dinner for even the full week because I change my mind on what sounds good so often 😂 I plan my dinners for 2-3 days. My momma is the same as yours. Her fridge and pantry are always bursting lol. I call her up if I need an ingredient before I head to the store.

I like to keep backups for canned items and anything we eat frequently that can be frozen. I can taste a difference between (most) pre-frozen veggies and fresh ones that were cut up & frozen so i do that for all of mine

And the other pantry some things I buy as needed, I fear I will let it expire and some things in bulk (I had a close call during COVID-19). I try to balance because I don’t want things spoiling or expiring.

When we lived in the city, I feel like we would buy less at one time and just go back a couple of times during the week, but now we live in the country (our town doesn't even have traffic lights and no stop signs on the major road.), about 30 minutes from a small town that has 2 small stores. It's 2 hours for us to get to a major city. So, we order online for things they don't sell in our store or are dry goods, and also buy the produce and other perishables every 2-3 weeks (things that need to be refrigerated.). Right now my husband and I are struggling with which containers to buy and whether they should be glass or plastic (We have a 7 year old.). We don't have bugs, but we still want airtight containers to keep things fresh and we don't want to attract bugs.

Really like the video - it's the first of your I've seen. I live full time and stationary in a camper so my pantry is TINY, as is my fridge and freezer. I'd love to stock up more but space is too limited. I got basic containers from Walmart and used a roll of masking tape and marker I already had to label everything. I remove the label when I wash and I relabel as needed. I wasn't disorganized - I found weevils in my pantry!!! Everything was contaminated. I had to toss all the boxes away plus food. 🤦🏼♀️ Now everything except canned goods go into containers.
Yup! I am like your Mom. I need to be able to create appetizers or meals at the drop of a hat from my pantry. I over-bought at the beginning of Covid because the Governor of California pretty much closed our state down completely at first. I remember going to the market the day before St Patrick’s Day just to get corned beef and cabbage. There was nowhere to park, the lines were wrapped around the store and I thought to myself “What is going on? I need to buy food! This is CRAZY!” So stocked up on frozen meals and vegetables, and canned food. And bought enough in case my kids didn’t have enough at their homes. And we have slowly eaten it. It does feel good to have a less packed pantry now. I am glad that is over! Great video. Loved the grape jelly! 😂🤪 🥰 Karen

I always kept a 1 month pantry stock, my husband is paid monthly but since Covid we switched to a 3 Month so we could avoid trips to the store. Ready to return to a monthly pantry.
I’m a little bit of both like you. I stay stocked up on things like snacks, taco seasoning, gravy mix, stuff like that. But I can’t plan dinner for even the full week because I change my mind on what sounds good so often 😂 I plan my dinners for 2-3 days.
My momma is the same as yours. Her fridge and pantry are always bursting lol. I call her up if I need an ingredient before I head to the store.

I like to keep backups for canned items and anything we eat frequently that can be frozen. I can taste a difference between (most) pre-frozen veggies and fresh ones that were cut up & frozen so i do that for all of mine

Wow. I truly enjoyed a lot of the additional advice you gave during your video and I felt your sincerity and gratitude towards your followers. To answer your first question I live in Maryland. And the other pantry some things I buy as needed, I fear I will let it expire and some things in bulk (I had a close call during COVID-19). I try to balance because I don’t want things spoiling or expiring.

When we lived in the city, I feel like we would buy less at one time and just go back a couple of times during the week, but now we live in the country (our town doesn't even have traffic lights and no stop signs on the major road.), about 30 minutes from a small town that has 2 small stores. It's 2 hours for us to get to a major city. So, we order online for things they don't sell in our store or are dry goods, and also buy the produce and other perishables every 2-3 weeks (things that need to be refrigerated.). Right now my husband and I are struggling with which containers to buy and whether they should be glass or plastic (We have a 7 year old.). We don't have bugs, but we still want airtight containers to keep things fresh and we don't want to attract bugs.

Really like the video - it's the first of your I've seen. I live full time and stationary in a camper so my pantry is TINY, as is my fridge and freezer. I'd love to stock up more but space is too limited. I got basic containers from Walmart and used a roll of masking tape and marker I already had to label everything. I remove the label when I wash and I relabel as needed. I wasn't disorganized - I found weevils in my pantry!!! Everything was contaminated. I had to toss all the boxes away plus food. 🤦🏼♀️ Now everything except canned goods go into containers.

Yup! I am like your Mom. I need to be able to create appetizers or meals at the drop of a hat from my pantry. I over-bought at the beginning of Covid because the Governor of California pretty much closed our state down completely at first. I remember going to the market the day before St Patrick’s Day just to get corned beef and cabbage. There was nowhere to park, the lines were wrapped around the store and I thought to myself “What is going on? I need to buy food! This is CRAZY!” So stocked up on frozen meals and vegetables, and canned food. And bought enough in case my kids didn’t have enough at their homes. And we have slowly eaten it. It does feel good to have a less packed pantry now. I am glad that is over! Great video. Loved the grape jelly! 😂🤪 🥰 Karen
