_a good headwind is going to push you in the right direction_ That's quite the hilarious statement. :) (yes, I know what you were intending to say, but perhaps the wrong choice of words)
Hi Mark (or Marc), I am an Xbox user and, since I have both the T.Flight HOTAS One w/ rudders and the Velocity One, I do also turn all assistance off. I guess your comment was about the Xbox controller users. Have a good day!
@3:31 you mention using the drone to check out the ends of a runway…that’s all fine and good for sim use but how would a real world pilot deal with this? In the real world you can’t just fly a drone to check out an airport.
A lot of small GA aircraft pilots use a combination of Google maps, ordinance survey maps and even visit the landing/takeoff strips before their flight. They will contact the airfield also.
I play the tutorial and take off just fine, but when I play the game I just stay on the ground no matter what I do. It’s getting quite frustrating, especially since I spent 70 dollars on this game
@@FlightSimSchool I did that too. By the way, it’s really cool how you care enough to attempt a commenter’s issue. You’re like an actual Flight Simulator teacher lol, good job with your channel

Hi Mark - I've been looking for a channel like this! Thanks for the content. Haden (London UK) 😀

Yep I meant for people using the Xbox controller (c’est Marc en passant ;) )
Great video. Thanks
why does my C152 try to do a barrel roll on the ground when i take off?
Hi Jon, I’d start by checking the trim wheel to make sure it’s set to about the middle, that’s likely the cause
You can lean more about trim here:

I believe airport diagrams will also indicate any obvious obstacles
Real world pilot has a full diagram , and do actual math to calculate V1 based on weight , wind , runway ; obstacles etc

Is the parking brake on?
@@FlightSimSchool no. I’ve played this game before and know how to fly, but one day it suddenly just stopped working
You could try resetting your controls (keyboard, mouse, joystick, etc) all back to default and try it again.

Thanks :) At that point, I would probably try to re-install the game. There must be something corrupted somewhere.
