Can never have too much bass. And Ekaterina's ethereal voice floating over the top is perfect. Love it.
I agree about feeling oddly proud of these guys because we’ve gotten to see the development from the group’s inception. You’d never know that the group still hasn’t all gotten together in person.

The Bass Gang is always amazing. I started following Tomi P a few years ago and got to know them through him.
Ekaterina was born in Russia, but moved to Canada with her parents as a child. She studied at the Conservatory of Music in Toronto where she has twice been recognized as the best singer in her grade. She has received several prizes. In 2014 she auditioned for the Conservatorio G.Verdi in Italy where she completed her Bachelor's and Master's Degree in opera with outstanding marks.
One of my favorites by hers is "At The Dawn" (a Russian folk song), which is absolutely gorgeous. Her "Earth Melodies - Awakening" is quite an experience and her rendition of "Savage Daughter" is also amazing.

Bobby has such resonance you can't explain... and it's perfect for a viking song that's why it stood out in their solo verses. His chest voice even if not on lower octave has such resonance in it and warmth. When he sings it just rumbles correctly and it sounds amazing especially for this kind of track.
The original form the series is really good, but this one from The Bass Gang is something else, a total other level, and when i first heard it, i had the exact same reaction as you...this is frigging AMAZING! 😂

Was that not incredible?! Peter created a masterful arrangement and Marwan did an amazing edit! I think someone said they had an angel and the hounds of hell in one video-and I agree! I’m listening to this one on repeat. As far as I am concerned, this song could have gone on another 20 minutes or more. I think, no matter our ethnic backgrounds, this hits everyone in the gut and brings out something primal. I’ve never seen the TV show but I don’t think I could like the song any better! I’ve been following them for awhile now, and am thoroughly enjoying it. I love all of them, but Bobby’s voice just has a different timbre. Thanks, L-T!
