Hello sir, Thank for these videos, they are great. Please I need help with customizing an api endpiont in ghost or adding a new endpoint. For example in user signup, looks like it's currently accepting only name and email, but what if I want to add other fields like phone number and accept in the api endpoint and save that in the database. I would really appreciate a tutorial on that.

    hello,
I would like to clear up some doubts before migrating from Wordpress to Ghost
    1. can I use ghost just as a free blog monetized with adsense (like I do with wordpress?)
    2. Ghost's basic plan entitles you to 500 members. I would like to know if members and newsletter subscribers are the same thing?
    3. After reaching the number of 500 members, am I obliged to change plans? thanks!

      1. Yes.
      2. Yes.
      3. Yes.
Note that these limits and plans pertain to Ghost(Pro), but that other hosting options exist as well as the ability to self-host since Ghost is free and open source

      Thanks for the answer!
Can I use the official free Ghost themes as well as the paid themes without using Ghost Pro?
Is there a limit on members and authors when Ghost is used on another hosting?

Hi@@DonGiovanniiii all official themes can be downloaded via the Marketplace or from Github. They can be used on self-hosted versions of Ghost.
When it comes to purchasing a premium theme, you would need to check with the developer and their licensing. Usually they will extend one license to use the theme on a site of yours, regardless where it hosted.
Self-hosting has no limits in terms of members and authors, though you may run into other limits when it comes to self-hosting. However, there are certain things to keep in mind when self-hosting, as costs are often higher compared to Ghost(Pro).
If you want to learn more about self-hosting, you can read up on it here: ghost.org/docs/hosting/

That background music is incredibly annoying.
