Full cage is very good for Euronymphing because it prevents the thin line from creeping between spool and housing which is not only annoying, but can cost you fish..
I had a newer hardy click and paw - the internals of the reel are cheap plastic - they break and Hardy does not have parts because its now an outsourced badge manufactured by third parties. I went through two years of trying to get the one part but they wouldn't let me order it from Canada because of licensing laws and they couldn't supply it directly

The hardy Ultra click is all metal no plastic at all same with this one. I have both and haven’t had any issues at all.
