    Been replacing quite a few balance shafts / idler sprockets recently. Recently had a 273 that had worn the sprocket completely round and polished it. Even the back side of the chain was worn almost flat.
    Pretty extensive job, and don't try to shortcut. Just pull the parts and reseal like you are supposed to. Things break and end up costing you more time and money.

    I don't see why it can't be done with the engine still in the car. ??
    Put it on rhino ramps. just missing the chain tool, the cam lock/remover tool , sealant/gasket maker and whatever cylinder impact thing that was... And a 12 pack

      They say in part 1 it can be done in the car, he is just working on the engine outside the car to make it clear to us

      change oil often

      Mine has 280km with frequennt 5000km oil changes, running like new.
