Interesting close encounter case!! Thanks for sharing! Did it resemble the classical grey alien or not? 1958 is a very remarkable in Estonian UFO lore as well - the first abduction case recorded by UFO study group. Since we were part of Soviet Union at that time, UFO topic was not discussed, literature was absent, some copies were circulating, perhaps received from Finland. So it was a October late evening in 1958, farmhouse in Viljandi county. 8 year old boy was just going to bed. The house was missing electricity. The mother was still working in farm. The boy was alone in bed. In a couple of minutes the door opened and 4 people like entities entered. One of them seemed to be female, very beautiful. All were like human. The entities had a device that looked like flash light but the color was green. The boy in bed "hears" very rapid sound vikvikvikvik. He thinks later it was transfered telepathically. Suddenly he understands he must go along. They all walk over the yard, the land was already frosty, the boy was barefoot. Behind the farm there was a large metal plate. They all stand on it and it starts to rise until the boy discovers himself in a large room 25x25m. He was asked to sit on a chair in the middle of the room. Suddenly a leader like person comes close to him and stared in his eyes. He was like annoyed why such a young human was brought aboard and other entities were like it is the best we have, it will be ok. Metal frames were put on the boy's head and he lost consciousness. When he woke up one of the entity asked him telepathically if he would like to see planet Earth. Boy said no. One of the entities put a device on his shoulder he got like a weak electric shock. They told him he would not become sick for many years. When the entities said this is all and you can leave and when the metal plate touched the ground he ran home as fast as he could. After the encounter the boy noticed that his math abilities increased, he became straight A in match. Also his health became stronger. Many years after the encounter the boy heard again this vikvikvik sound and he got this message: your barbarians are attacking us, some of us are dead, we will return in 30yrs. To sum up, the communication was entirely telepathic, the entities were very human like. It all happened before famous cases of Betty and Barney Hill abductions and the case of Antonio Villas-Boas. All major Estonian top500 cases were published in book couple of years ago. The problem with cases that go far in the Soviet era is that all of those cases were partly investigated unofficially/secretly. For soviets ufo subject was not openly a valid topic but instead represents a part of rotten deteriorating culture of the West :) therefore we dont have public newspaper articles about cases before 80ties. This abduction case is based on the testimony of the person and is described in the summary book. Unfortunately it is only Estonian. I have given my recommendations to have it in English. Let's what the future brings. However, if interested i can provide somehow more detailed version of it somehow?
My father-in-law, dedicated junior hockey dad in the 80s to my now husband, used to smuggle newspapers, books and all sorts of stuff to Estonia from Finland. Daily consumer wears they didnt even hide, but I know they had hidden the most forbidden stuff inside my husband’s hockey gear, the kind you would get most trouble if caught. Im not sure about any ufo stuff, not FILs particular interest, but rock-cassettes were his thing, especially 60-70s era and progressive rock. Another parent in the group brought sheet music, he was a music teacher and thought playing Beatles yourself is a human right. I loved learning about these stories, how different times were just some decades ago.

I had to chuckle at the description of the alien wearing overalls and the flying saucer with retractable tripod legs.
