Shane is 100% the guy you could take anywhere - a museum of vacuums, a potato museum, the largest ball of twine, you name it - and he will be absolutely onboard with the whole plan. He'll be the guy reading every information placard at every exhibit, and it will be genuine interest.

@@johnwayne8494 Fun fact, NASCAR (and stock car racing in general) was started by bootleggers. They basically made it to where all of their vehicles would be faster than whatever the cops were driving, and eventually they started racing each other to see who made the faster vehicle.

I love how Bob says "Noooo" in such a sweet way. Makes me think he's used to giving tours to rowdy schoolchildren which is practically how Shane and Ryan behave 😆
I kept rewinding it every time he would say “nooo” like that it was so funny and endearing
And the way he physically guided Ryan to the pole and Shane to the chair cracked me up
Oh he is, a few years ago my school took us there for a tour, he was our tour guide! Very nice man! But lots of schools in Montana tend to go on that tour :)

Shane's ability to make everyone feel safe and heard is not to be underestimated. He's still cracking jokes but without making the hosts feel uncomfortable. Love these guys.

How anyone ever thought Shane was cold and emotionless is beyond me. His persona during unsolved was definitely more reserved, but since they've started this channel, it's so obvious how full of excitement and joy he is when it comes to meeting new people and discovering new things. Him dragging Ryan along rather than the other way round is very sweet
Shane’s always been my favorite because I can relate to him with how people perceive me

As a local heritage amateur I agree so much. Local history is so cool it just takes a little patience and an open heart and mind to engage with it.

I just love when we get tidbits of watcher lore. Last time it was Ryan's house getting broken into and getting his switch stolen and didn't tell Shane for two weeks. Now we learn that Shane's family had some ties to Al Capone... no context just the most insane lore casually dropped into the conversation
I mean Shane’s from the right region to be connected to Capone in some way it’s not entirely surprising to me at least

I love this show because rather than going to popular tourist destinations everyone has heard of, they go out of their way to find more obscure but no less magical places and are so genuine in how excited they are to talk to people and explore. Rather than making fun, they instead actually want to learn more. It's infectious

Bob was wonderfully knowledgeable, glad to see you guys get local historians involved :D My grandfather works at the local museum and it is his life's joy to document and share the history here. Local historians are the backbone of our country's memory keeping :)

It always fills me with such warmth to see these goofballs be so enthusiastic and earnest in their friendship, I know it's a big pull for watcher but it's definitely because we all love the real chemistry the boys have. Sometimes I wonder if there's even people like this left in the world until I see them again
