Depends on the situation. Back in time when i had a band, i used first of all for have my own chanel since i was the only one playing with in ears. I used one chanel as monitor (guitars, main vocal, etc.) One for spd sx with backing tracks and click track, one for triggers and one for my personal overhead mic so i was independent from the local sound guy talking about my listening. In this video i just used to get conected with the computer for my listening during the recording. Nowadays i bought a Behringer P2 with an Y cable so i dont realy need it anymore in live or recording situation. (Since drummers are staying behind the kit, wireless system is unnecessary and also wired system has more safety). If i practice alone, i think a small mixer is the easiest way to get your phone/laptop connected to the mix, so you can play whatever song you want from Spotify/RUclips whatever you like, without wasting time on downloading the song and put it in your DAW. Correct. To be honest, i do not care about small things like that. At some point i played at some point not. I always go with the flow, this is a cover video so you can always change something if you want. If you think this was bad, you can show me anytime how to do it better! Cheers 😁🙌
