That was very explanatory. This video taught me how a freecoaster worked and about slack, and Iv only heard good things about this hub, its definitely on the top of my list.
this hub laced to a Demolition Zero rim on dans comp right now for 119.99$ ....SUPER deal... If i didn't have an Odyssey Clutch on the way, i would be ordering this complete wheel right now!
I bought a used demolition wheel, it’s laced to a lhd demolition free coaster. I can’t seem to find which exact hub it is. Axle is stripped and I want to buy a new one but I would need to know what hub it is first. Is there anyway I can email you guys a photo to help me identify it?
If the ball and springs are worn, does this in any way what so ever, contribute to the hub shell being loose? My wheel moves side to side ridiculously far?
Using another axle nut to remove the axle with a hammer is not smart you can damage you threads i recommend using the 8mm allen key hole and a 8mm allen key and a rubber mallet puts a lot less wear on your axle and bearings.
+phillip truong correct me if I'm wrong, but i don't believe there is such a thing as a switchable LHD/RHD free coaster hub.... at least not designed yet....
My freecoaster doesn't engage any more and the wheel moves side to side a lot, I have tight end up the cones and it is not that problem. I have replaced the NDS bearing and the driver, it still movea

I just cleaned and regreased my rotator. Super useful video. Thanks!

This is just your standard run of the mill free coaster. It’s the same internals as the Merrit free coaster and khe.
S*** I remember my federal freecoaster V2.. The game has come a long way.. Freecoaster > cassette for life XD
Would these steps be similar to the Merritt coaster

Can't believe we are still using cartridge bearings inside of drivers instead of needle bearings.
When I hammer my non drive side bearings back in, the driver slides out?
Then how do you adjust slack?
mine didnt come with slack washers what should i do to increase slack????

esses cilindros são os rolamentos da cog, provavelmente estão estragados!
Can't takeoff the spacer between the driveside conenut en the driver

if my bearings fell out hot do I fix them
like your bearing exploded or they just came out of your hub shell?
I took them out to clean it and increase it but can't put back in
"Ungrease"
which bearing? the drive side one?
but the bearings have come out on both sides of my driver
My driver bearing is fucked up
Where I can find new driver
Can this hub be flipped too lhd?
phillip truong no it cannot

+b mad eclat blind. Too many people have problems with it though. I would recommend avoiding it haha
+Max Myslewski you can buy it LHD
It didn’t even come with spacers. I’d would have made more sense if it came with them in and you could take them out.
What kind of grease do you recommend?
park tool makes some thats pretty good
This Is Confusing As FUCK !!! I hope I dont have to tale this thing apart for anything I'm just leaving it with the slack it came with
The slack that comes with it kind of sucks though it always catches on 180s and stuff
how is this confusing lmfao? this is the most straightforward video ive seen so far....
The driver teeth break fast there to thin had to put a different brand driver
if any one needs help with there rotator i may be of help feel free to shoot me a reply with your issue
lucckino is it the more slack the faster it engages or the less slack the faster it engages
Drewster195 more slack is slower engagement less is faster engagement because if you have more it takes more time to engage
lucckino thanks so much
