I love the fact that you react to more than just their biggest hits. Don’t get me wrong, I love seeing the faces of other reactors when the brothers start harmonizing on Too Much Heaven but they are missing out on so much wonderful music by just focusing on their “Disco era” songs. There are great songs on literally every one of the 22 studio albums they released. I, for one, am very happy you continue to go down the rabbit hole with their music.

The Beegees are masters at love songs and songs that tell a story that fits in with life and relationships and sometimes regrets that make you stop and think. It's incredible how much talent they have and how much they've accomplished even though they quit school at a young age. Any Beegees songs that you play are great....some you may not like the first time you hear them but you listen to them more times and they grow on you and you start liking them . I love the simplicity of this song. When I first heard this song in 1975 it became one of my favourites. What a great way to end an album. Great chorus.
One of my first Bee Gees albums...my daughter bought it for me again since I no longer had it. She found it at a used music shop. Concerning this song, love the arrangement and vocals on the chorus. You hit it right about Barry experimenting with his falsetto. The falsetto on the verses doesn't seem to match the chorus. The two are not fluid. Yet it is a beautiful song that pulls you in...no doubt!
As much as I like analysis of their hits, I must say, these deep dives into their other work is sooooo good and sooooo interesting! It's introducing me (a longtime fan) into songs I have never heard. Love it! Thanks, Chad!

Like others here I've found some tracks on your site I never heard before although I followed them off and on since the 60's. I've added them to my playlist. Nobody else does them! You have a lot of savvy Bee Gees fans, more savvy than me, with voluminous knowledge and good taste! WOW, looked at your list and still so many to go like Ellan Vannin, And the sun will shine, Secret Love, Country Lanes, When he's gone, etc. All great songs ranging from the 60's to the early 2000's. One I didn't see was "Out of time" a Stones cover when they were young but the only link I have has script over it. There are lots of good other oldies from their Australia days like "Wine, women and song", "Glass house", "Claustrophobia". My girlfriend and I use to play this album on 8-track in my 72 Chevelle SS and slow dance to this song in her driveway back in high school in 1976. That girlfriend became my wife in 1981 and we still listen these guys pretty much on a daily basis even today. Even if it's just 1 album or 30 minutes. It makes the world seem like a better place. Oh Chad, thank you. I can deal with the work week now. I listen to Main Course all the time, and I love this song. There isn't anything on Main Course that I don't love. I think music from when you were in high school and college stays with you more intensely than any other time. It doesn't hurt that these guys are outstanding. I love me some Barry, and this falsetto is just right, not over the top, and it easily blends. But, holy cats, when Mo's voice comes in I don't know whether to jump up and down or cry. These harmonies are that good. I don't know how many times in more than 40 years I have heard it, and right now I have goosebumps. Never fails. There is something to love with all their work, but Main Course is very very special. My own impatience comes because I want to share all of their genius right now. I enjoy it so much when you hear something wonderful for the first time. Have a good week.

Chad I enjoy you so much…the Bee Gees have always been my favorites since the mid 70s, that shows my age. Lol. But there are so many greats. If ever you want to change it up alittle…still going back in time..to some unknowns, maybe…as you might say another rabbit hole try: Van Morrison. Troubadours. From 1980 montreux Also, a great interview of The Bee Gees. Michael Parkinson’s. It’s the one when they are younger Barry and Maurice have their guitars out. It’s around 20 min long really shows their personality and they tell their story
The background dancers - and Barry & Mo as Robin’s backup singers - can’t be missed. Robin’s (within a few weeks of his 17th birthday) vocals and delivery are really incredible. There’s also a clip of Barry in his floral pants performing SPICKS & SPECKS at the same appearance, with Robin and Mo providing backup - just weeks before setting sail for London. Robin is in suit and tie and Mo is in full hippie attire. Who would ever guess they are twins??? The live videos may be copywrited, but the official promo video for SPICKS & SPECKS is probably ok for a reaction.

Main Course is one of the best albums of the 70's. It gets overlooked because of Saturday Night Fever, but this truly was their masterpiece. Spirits Having Flown was an excellent album, but the overuse of falsetto makes it unlistenable today. This song was covered by Michelle Phillips on her solo debut album in 1977.

Thank you so much for doing a reaction to this song! It brings back so many great memories. My girlfriend and I use to play this album on 8-track in my 72 Chevelle SS and slow dance to this song in her driveway back in high school in 1976. That girlfriend became my wife in 1981 and we still listen these guys pretty much on a daily basis even today. Even if it's just 1 album or 30 minutes. It makes the world seem like a better place. Oh Chad, thank you. I can deal with the work week now. I listen to Main Course all the time, and I love this song. There isn't anything on Main Course that I don't love. I think music from when you were in high school and college stays with you more intensely than any other time. It doesn't hurt that these guys are outstanding. I love me some Barry, and this falsetto is just right, not over the top, and it easily blends. But, holy cats, when Mo's voice comes in I don't know whether to jump up and down or cry. These harmonies are that good. I don't know how many times in more than 40 years I have heard it, and right now I have goosebumps. Never fails. There is something to love with all their work, but Main Course is very very special. My own impatience comes because I want to share all of their genius right now. I enjoy it so much when you hear something wonderful for the first time. Have a good week.

The background dancers - and Barry & Mo as Robin’s backup singers - can’t be missed. Robin’s (within a few weeks of his 17th birthday) vocals and delivery are really incredible. There’s also a clip of Barry in his floral pants performing SPICKS & SPECKS at the same appearance, with Robin and Mo providing backup - just weeks before setting sail for London. Robin is in suit and tie and Mo is in full hippie attire. Who would ever guess they are twins??? The live videos may be copywrited, but the official promo video for SPICKS & SPECKS is probably ok for a reaction.

I've just discovered 2 more covers of this one: Tom Jones and Michelle Philips (none of them matches the original IMO) It's unbelieveble how many people have sung BGs songs...
Main Course is one of the best albums of the 70's. It gets overlooked because of Saturday Night Fever, but this truly was their masterpiece. Spirits Having Flown was an excellent album, but the overuse of falsetto makes it unlistenable today. This song was covered by Michelle Phillips on her solo debut album in 1977.
I loved the mix of a bit of falsetto and then the full chest voice during the chorus. The harmonies were gorgeous. Very relaxing song.
