Well, if you just need a basic tender to get ashore and back - then simple RIB dinghy with tiller motor will be the prefect solution. But (!!!) once you are away with your main boat and would like to have a ride, or play with your family on a water , spending hour or two - then here we are, we need centre console dinghy!... and if you want to feel like in Mercedes - we need luxury dinghy - like G340... In the end of the day it is just a beauty, which is so nice drive....., unbelievable!
Dear David, if you think that it should be more simple - there is an answer and right boat in GRAND range - Silver Line S330. Very light and simple. Boat weight is just 140 lbs without motor ( + 140 lbs for 20HP motor and gas = 280 lbs). But Golden Line G340 is this is 11' luxury class dinghy, and this is LIGHTEST luxury dinghy on a market with boat weight - 284 lbs (420lbs is the total package weight of fully rigged boat with motor and all equipment).
Would have been nice to see how it handles on the water!
For comparison the weight of the same class boats from another manufacturers:
Zodiac Yachtline 340DL : 425 lbs + minimum 40HP motor = about 650 lbs package
Caribe DL-11 : 372 lbs + minimum 30HP motor = about 580 lbs package
BRIG Eagle 340 : 396 lbs + minimum 30HP motor = 600 lbs package

So, in this connection: 420-450 lbs for G340 package looks just perfect!
Dont waste your money - This company does not stand by its 5 year warranty claims and it is clearly an issue with their adhesives. It was a super fun and useful boat but both sides started leaking the back where it attaches to the steps. SAVE YOUR MONEY and the hassle of these guys avoiding their responsibility

10k would get you a big boat not a dinghy, just no worth the money.

This will be hard o find, I guess... that are sold so quickly when come on a market. But why not to take a new one? Every year there is something new and fresh from the manufacturer on these dinghies!

This thing is so overbuilt. 420lbs is ridiculous for a dinghy.
Fair enough BoatFanatic, but whats the point of having a center console dinghy, when you could own a full size center console. I don't understand the point of this entire rigged performance dinghy class.
For $10k, just get a real boat...
