I only just realized, it's just "Autodesk Fusion" now. Apparently it was rebranded back in January 24! I guess I never really paid any attention to the splash screen. lol I'll probably continue to just call it Fusion 360 tho.
Great ideas as always! Just a little tip: in F360, in sketches meant for revolutions you can add the axis inside the sketch and make it a center line. Then, if you take measures from it, it directly gives you diameters. Also, when you use the revolve command on that sketch, it will automatically revolve around that axis.
i think that clip/snap on filters for a regular bulb is really cool and it would be neat to see a lithophane printed like that that could be snapped on to any bulb!
I know that you wanted to make this a 3D Printed project, but they do make jells that you cut to size for light filtering. You could either place the jell inside the spotlight, or make a black ring to hold the jell to place in front of the spotlight. The jells are designed to give you the most light possible and come in a wide range of colors.
It reminds me of Happy Valley in Port Elizabeth in South Africa. I loved it when I was a kid. They had status of Disney characters and other fantasy characters and you would walk down a path and find them lit by various coloured lights.
Good idea for the last minute! Those light socket led bulbs only get hot on the ceramic part so as long as you stay off that you'll be fine. Side idea: Halloween brought some 3D printed shadow art this year like Jason and the Scream guy horror characters. So coloured North Pole props or maybe something like a sleigh with reindeer that are animated with a cam system and Santa waves via servo... or just shadow art shapes are cool too, heh heh. Cheers all!
Utterly weird color choice for christmas :D ... but I do appretiate the base thought about playing with lights and their filters to make some interesting design - thats inspiring.
I haven't been watching this channel on the regular since... You were playing around with giant numbers 😅 (life happens) But now you're here in Sweden? 😯
@@make.anything There's linoljefärg (linseed oil paint), but it's expensive and I (after light research) couldn't find it in small quantities or a wide gamut. Totally worth it if you want to do a bigger surface though.
Neat ideas! They give me more of an underwater "sunken ruins" feeling than a traditional christmas hustomte appeal, but I'm not much of a christmas person so I like this better :) If you wanted to christmasify it further, you could add little tomtar or birds + miniature sheaf for a toned down natural style decoration. Otherwise there's a wealth of weird and wonderful Swedish Christmas stuff to pick from. Maybe some Christmas goats or pigs? A bowl of porridge for hustomten? Also there's the illustrious Christmas village complete with a church :D Just don't do anything too bible inspired, that's not really Christmassy here 😇
Thanks! I was trying to stay away from being too traditional, but maybe I should bring some Swedish classics into the display to show some appreciation for the country :D
I love these ideas. Seems pretty easy to put up and take down every year. I'm not a big fan of spending lots of time on Christmas decorations either lol. I'd probably keep the rocklights up all year round with those colored filters, really like it!
As a Swede I’m intrigued by why you are living here instead of California. I’ve only two guesses: - You found love in a Swede. - You hate the druggy state of Cal
Hey, I love your videos, but I've noticed that you have auto title translations enabled. This is a feature that you can disable for your viewers via your creator settings. Having your video titles automatically translated (with whatever Al RUclips is using) results in terrible titles for your international audience, oftentimes losing the context of it. Best regards ^^

I'm still getting used to it :P
Finally some longform content. please keep it up Devn!
Simple but cool ideas!
Great ideas as always!

Oh, nice! That definitely seems like something I *should* have known for years already 😅
@make.anything well that features are not so... ancient :D
Understated is a plus. I call it a win!

The bulb cap things are great. LOTS of options there. I appreciate the subtlety of the lights on the rocks too. I like it, overall. It's understated.
My great grandmother was from Sweden. I love to live there myself
Another great video!
Simple and beautiful !
I like it !
Thanks!
This is so cool. You’re such a talented designer!! 🎉❤😊

Looks great! And hey... God Jul! (Merry Christmas!)
Usually, not a fan of coloured lights. But that actually was really pleasant and clean-looking.
Thanks! I was a bit worried since morst houses in Sweden just use warm white Christmas lights... I'm going for 'different but not tacky' (:
@@make.anything :) warm white in one pine tree.

you could hang bits from the lights like wind chimes
do you know those swedish angel chimes? it would be cool if you could come up with something similar but 3d printed (and of course without any fire)

Looks so cool!!!
It's a great idea.
if you put lights up top on the wall and aim them at the rocks with the floor floods you can get 2 diff colors on each rock
Wonderful as always!!!
Thanks Brodie! 🙌

Gymt! God Jul till du!
Very nice!

But now you're here in Sweden? 😯
Yup! I'm around Kalmar :)
@make.anything Waaaaay down south!
Permanent?
This reminds me, I should really watch There's Something In The Barn! XD
you should use these to decorate your booth at OpenSauce!
Nice, I was just wondering if your 2nd channel was still active since I hadn't seen much there in awhile but glad to see this video too
Yea, it's definitely been neglected for a while. I will return!
look up what a gobo is ...might be fun to try to make some
Nice tip! I wonder how I'd go about getting the lenses right... might have to do some research :)
My opinion is no on burning your house down
there are no mistakes only happy accidents...
If you're happy with the end result, that's all that matters. Good job!, Love the Bulb covers, very cool.
Wait, what?! Why are you in Sweden?
Bruh. 😊

The different rock stacks looked a bit like a family of ‘snowmen’ maybe you could 3D print some eyes/noses etc for them?
Hehe that would be fun.. I've been considering painting some of the rocks, just need to find a nice non-toxic, weatherproof option

1 o clock, three hours till the sun is gone?
Lucky, I get till 2
God jul!
I don't think I need anything to translate that if it's good job.
hehe not quite, it's Merry Christmas

i forgot he lived in Sweden for a sec dang
Fun use of that transparent filament! A win for sure. Love the videos!
carful with electrical wires and pipes underground when you want to make holes! just a word of caution
I WOULD make that mistake 🫠
As a Swede I’m intrigued by why you are living here instead of California.
I’ve only two guesses:

I love the country! I have some videos on my other channel Skapa Allt talking through my motivations
@@make.anything Thanks, will take a look!
