Hi. Nice adventure with the little strom. Proved you don't need big expensive bike for nice trips. (You can change the tyres if you want for more off road performance. Difficult to find a same sizes, but you can find a similar. I recommended a little higher profiles, because it will up slightly a ground clearance to. ) I'm riding bikes more than 30 years (600, 1000ccm sport, sport touring, enduro) and I'm thinking to buy the same bike for long adventure trips, maybe even for T.ET. It maybe sound little crazy, but I know you don't need big hp for that. What you need is Suzi has : big tank (~450 km) , 3-3.5 l/ average, cheap price, reliable bike, big place for packing, luggage, factory fitted engine guard, low centre gravity, comfort big seat, nice dash, you able to pick it up when you fall. Ground clearance is 160mm is not to great, but is enough for light- medium off road terrain with carefully, slower place, speed. Suspension, fork travel...its same. Nothing special, but good enough if you take care. What you need is : more off road style tyres, crash bars, hand guards, and you good to go :) Off course it will never be Ktm 790, but it is only €4500 brand new. It's one negative side is the service intervals, every 6000km with valves check, but you can check your self, and take longer intervals, because the engine come from the suzuki izauma 250 and it's proved, long life engine. It's all in package is one off the best in category I think... Please continue make videos, and all the best! From Hungary :)
Koszonom szepen Atti ;) I am 101% agree with you. I am already ordered a crash bar from SW Motech. I'll do a video when arrives. Regarding the tires... i am still searching for a better suited profile. The stock dimmension is very hard to find, but some wider one, will fit. I am super happy with my 250. Actually, i bought it with 3000 Euro from an Austrian dealer, and that was a super offer i could't refuse :) Minden jot !
Totally agree with you. The small bike adventure is a growing trend, peoples realising they don't need GS1200 to have fun in a adventure ;) Best regards !
@@davewilson2277 Thank you ! I still have the original IRC set, and i am happy with. For the next season (i already have +10.000km ruclips.net/video/M5I2-UmAy5M/видео.html) i will search some 30-70 tyres. I think Metzeller Tourance will be perfect. Best regards!
I'll be glad to guide you if you have plans to come to Romania ;) The CRF or the KLX are more off road oriented. I am between, and consider longer trips on tarmac and maybe with pillion and side cases. The Vstrom has a big tank and a very good range due to the low consumption.
(Off road).
Hi Craig ! Congrats for your purchase ! The windscreen extension is a universal one, you can find it on Aliexpress or Ebay for about 15 euro. Not a massive improvement but it helps a litle :) Best regards !

Hi. I have a problem, do you have the same problem? My Vstrom 250 with 7000kms has a very noise gear box in the low gear from 1 to 4. When i change a gear i fill like a very noise clack.
Sorry for the late answer. It looks like the clutch cable needs a adjustment. It is normal to do it. Mine did the same at 25k km. I hope you managed tho solve the problem. Best regards
