So. CV has changed our world, this is a ruff one.
Jed can't stand masks, he's not scared, he just can't read my facial expressions. And he really doesn't like going in the pool, after taking walks.(unless it's a short walk and he doesn't lay down) then we only stick our feet in the bleach bucket at the door. There's a cleaning station at every door. We are vigilant! I caught the swine flu, I really did think I was gonna die. Wished I would've a few times. So I'm not taking chances with this one.

Now. As if we didn't have enough to handle, between CV, the economy, climate change, and the disintegration of this democracy!
The whole world was witness to to one of the horrific and gut wretching 8 mins and 45 seconds I have ever seen when a racist piece of excrement cop decided to murder George Perry Floyd for reasons I'm unable to even imagine.
Now. George Floyd is changing the world too!! I was and am still amazed by all the multiracial protests that are happening all around the world.
An in the U.S., They have actually given me hope, and the first sense of patriotism that I haven't felt since Barack Obama was elected president.
I hope they keep marching. I hope this keeps changing more laws. I hope this movement continues until everyone is able to at least acknowledge that this problem even exist.
I hope for a the beautiful world that this generation is trying to create. I hope for all humanity to live together on this planet in peace, harmony, and unity. I hope for every one of us.

I felt so bad for Stimpy, being old and living on the streets. How could someone be so cruel to dump a old, little dog like Stimpy like trash!😡
Thank goodness for those good samaritan's who called HFP to come and rescue Stimpy. I hope he finds a loving forever home.

LOLOLOLOL That's so true. That's the name of my Chihuahua. I rescued him as a 3 year old who was abandoned. That was in 2010. As soon as I picked him up and looked at his face I blurted out, "Yoda!"! Yoda's an old man now. He'll be 13 in September. But he's the happiest dog in the world. Eldad's little rescue will be just as happy.

I give money in spay/ neuter program , and first in poor country in asien and so one ! Thats the best help ,i think!🐱🐶 !😇😇😇😷
It is enough to just help a family member or friend with feeding, medical care for their animals or helping them with rehoming an animal and then helping shelters, rescue groups. And pet owners should never let pride prevent them from accepting such help. If we all do our part for each other then Eldad and those who work with him could help more animals or maybe even less because we are all helping each other.
@@helgafrahmann4201 I agree with you. I would only add to be mandatory by law to microchip all pets and have them listed. If any of those pets where found on the streets I'd make them pay a fine.
Our teacher told us to make a presentation about someone we call a hero. I decided to make a presentation about Eldad Hagar, the founder of hope for paws.

I doubt that other people would put that much effort in saving these animals. And he still goes on many rescues himself even though he has enough employees to do that for him.

What i really love about chihuahuas is that even when they’re too old, theyre still tiny, low maintenance and feisty.
One of the things that I always find particularly heartbreaking is seeing a dog's tail curled all the way under the belly. It just seems to signal abject defeat. Love it when that tail comes up, wagging like crazy. 🦴🐕🦺🐕🐩🐶

I think that was the first hope for paws video I ever watched.
The kids who found him were so sweet. Its heartwarming to see them interested in helping animals. So so sweet
It's videos and people like Eldad and his crew that educate these kids. I'm not a kid but there have been a few times where watching these vids helped me to save a stray in regards to catching them. So I'm super grateful and have so much respect for HFP and all other rescues out there. xoxo

Senior dogs especially deserve to be in a warm, safe home with a loving family, not on the street! It breaks my heart the abuse and treatment people show to animals. We gave a chihuahua and I couldn't agree more, they are very lovable and extremely smart.
Don't baby them too much, if your reaction to them being scared is to comfort them, they'll be reinforced in their fear, and tend to become very anxious and afraid dogs. I see this so often with smaller dogs.

I feel the exact same way. Humans domesticated dogs and so we bare a responsibility to ensure they are safe, happy, healthy, well fed and loved.

Seems to me like he doesn't SEE too well, if at all. That's probably why he initially laid so still and then suddenly spooked like that, and he doesn't appear to be making any eye contact throughout the video... looks more like he's straining to see shapes and using his sense of smell. But he's a sweet old guy and I hope he soon finds a safe, comfortable home with good people where he can live out the rest of his doggy days. Good work as always, Eldad!

Dogs' eyesight does deteriorate with age though and if he's very old it's sadly expected that he won't see things clearly until they're close.
That's a Chihuahua thing. My Yoda does it when he gets in trouble or is anxious about something. It's their way of not looking at you or ignoring you. Believe me, it stops real fast when something interests them...like food or another dog. Or the magic words...want to go out? Then it's eyes wide open. :-)

Due to recent events i had really lost my faith in humanity. And then this video came and i realized that the innocents of children can really change our world for the better. Whether it is racism, war, cruelty we can make the world a better place by teaching our children to love purely. Most people overlooked this dog its whole life yet it took him a few hours of meeting these kids for his life to change completely. Dont underestimate the power your actions have on the world. Together we can create a world were happiness is not a luxury but a commonality.
@Taija Withford true, but the power lies in us to show children the right way to behave. At the end of the day no child is born with certain negative thoughts, they have been placed there, as the saying goes, a child is like an empty book, whatever you write on the first few pages of the book effect the rest of their story
One of the best comments I've read in a long time. I brought up my kids to have compassion for all living creatures and to respect other people and their property. Both adults now and my son is an animal lover, particularly cats. His oldest cat is 20. My daughter has a rescue parrot. The cats and the parrot are 500 miles apart so the parrot is safe. He had been completely neglected by his previous owners and when my daughter got him, he was bald. He's recovered well now and is a very good talker. As parents we need to set a good example to our kids.

Binge watching all these vids... I’m crying 😭 these beautiful animals deserve such amazing homes. I am too young to donate anything or to adopt any animal on my own But I have a dog and volunteer at my local animal shelter. And my mom is considering allowing us to foster

I have had a lot of Chihuahuas and chi mixes in my lifetime & I'm 70 now. I love them so much. I have a chi/pug mix now and a small terrier, both rescues and I think the chi/pug mixes are incredible. This is my second one and they both inherited the best temperament from those breeds and neither one ever barks.

I love how you guys are saving these animals even when you're in danger from the virus! I remember Eldad saying he had even injured his back from carrying the heavy basket around. Not only are you putting yourself in danger to save these animals, but also hurting yourself in the process and still trying. Bless your soul ❤️
I believe Eldad got bitten in the face once by a dog - and he was a little out of commission for a while because of it - he's fine now, obviously. Happened quite a while ago.
No one is in any more danger than usual from any virus. Covid is actually less dangerous than a bad flu year. Turn off your TV and stop listening to the fear based, operant conditioning.

Stimpy is so adorable! My heart melts on all of these rescues, its just too cute! They bring the most dirty or sick animals back to life and make them run again! :] So glad that Stimpy's little spirit was rebound and he recovered greatly and his nails were clipped, poor little guy I think those overgrown nails were bothering him. And yes I believe that masks scare dogs, they definitely frighten me! Can't wait for more rescues, I'll totally support this channel and try donating whenever I get the chance! :]

Let’s just take a second to appreciate those kids, the fact that they knew what to do, makes me so happy. They’ll grow up knowing they saved a homeless and lonely dog. And eldad, he can do pretty much anything when it comes to rescuing animals. He brought a kitty out of a really deep tube, he almost got bitten so many times, and yet he never gave up on his amazing job. Respects to eldad and the HFP team. ❤️🐶🐱

I think the greatest thing about this video other than the rescue is how wonderful those children were to him. They could have been very mean but they were taught that all animal lives are sacred.

Chihuahuas are an ancient Aztec dog breed that guarded the temples. They are territorial, loyal dogs that are very bonded to their owners and suspicious of strangers. Imagine this poor dog with no place to guard, no owner, in his senior years just abandoned like that. So shameful! What an expressive face on this little guy. So incredibly sweet. Thank you, Eldad, for being so compassionate and taking care of this little guy. Stimpy my man, you are in good hands now!
Humans can change everything for these poor creatures if they want to. I think allot of animals sense this. We can be their salvation. Good on you for doing just that. Your the best of us!
