This is my second time commenting on this video, but I just finished the 10th video in the module. I now understand why I felt great doing keto and AMAZING doing carnivore, but just meh doing gluten-free (ie eating all the “gluten-free” substitutes). My kids are gluten sensitive, as well. It’s been such a fight trying to get people to cooperate with our diet restrictions. You are so right about all the peer pressure and comments… they never stop! It makes me sad how many people give us such a hard time, like we’re choosing this lifestyle for fun 🙄 Anyways, thank you so much for all the helpful information! Do you have a list of generally safe foods? I’m wondering about tapioca starch/flour. I recently discovered Pão de queijo are naturally “gluten free” and I’m hoping we won’t have to give them up! 😁 Thank you for your help and may God bless you 💗

Thank you!!!! I’m so happy to have found this series and I’m taking tons of notes so my tired brain can remember this great info. I’ve been on the traditional GF diet, but still struggling and get immune reactions to so many foods now. I’m guessing I’ve reached the leaky gut disease phase but struggling to recover all the way. Now I can try going back to AIP diet again for a while, but look forward to a segment on rebuilding the gut microbiome and lining (hopefully). Keep up the great info!

Dr. Osborne always says to speak to the doctor, yet I would guess that so many people have seen numerous doctors. I've seen at least 24 specialists over the span of four decades and my current specialist said a patient should not act as a doctor. He refused to order any tests that I suggested. So I am paying cash for the laboratory testing that would be insurance paid if the doctor ordered them. American doctors don't want to resolve the problems, they want to write prescriptions because it is the best way to keep their patients in endless treatments and office visits. The sad thing is that even with good medical insurance, healthcare in the United States is dependent on a patient's financial resources. Functional medicine doctors want cash or credit, not health insurance or Medicare. These videos convinced me to eliminate Gluten and all Gluten sources from my diet. I love pastries and pasta but I can live without them to save my life.

I’ve experienced something very similar until going to a functional med doc. Only issue there is that you have to pay cash and insurance doesn’t cover it. Don’t understand how insurance doesn’t cover true medicine that is meant to get to the root cause and solve the problem! Our system is truly broken.

I fired four doctors before I got to the good rheumatologist and functional medicine that I have now. One stupid as a rock neurologists that told me maybe I need to take up golf. I fired him on the spot. Another family physician that told me I need to man up. I only fired him but I really just wanted to show him what man up meant by giving him a well deserved ass kicking. My long time family doctor was useless. I sat in a waiting room with paper thin walls for an hour listening to that ass hole coordinator one of his commercial real estate deals. Got up and walked out. Why would I let someone abuse my time like that. I an old construction boss, if someone didn't give a crap about their job, down the road they went. I never would have found the good doctors I have now if I had stayed with the knockleheads. Twenty years at least that my Celiac went undiagnosed, Dr Oz has helped quite a bit.

Precisely right. The system is beyond broken, sometimes criminal. FDA is useless. Rheumatologists know nothing about gluten, nor Leaky Gut.
Osteopathic doctors might take insurance. Mine does.

My Rheumatologist had an osteopath on his staff. It was a great combination. The both of them missed my Celiac for years though.

Dr Osborne an IgE and IgG and CB3 test says I am allergic and highly sensitive to pork. My thyroid meds that I have been on for Hashimotos for many years are made of pig thyroid. My functional doc says I must change. I don’t want to get my thyroid out of whack. Any thoughts? Thank you.
