Only reason Rap God was so popular is cuz it was fast, as a song it was mid imo. Em has much better, especially in his older albums
@@andy.3750 Yes while he has songs that have better story telling or emotions flowing through the lyrics or even straight up em murdering the beat but for an aging Eminem to drop this song when people are questioning the older mcs and calling him washed it was great to hear and the cherry on the cake was him taking the record with that verse I definitely have em songs that I play more than this but I respect the message he sent out with it "I may be getting older but with age comes more experience. just because I'm not trying stay relevant right now doesn't mean I have lost it. If you want to fuck around you can find out"
The song STAN alone has cemented his place as a legend. He wrote a song so good, the title ended up in the dictionary. Stan was the first ever song I heard that made me realize that songs can be stories too. The story telling in that song was so real, visceral, dark and just so Eminem.
Then with 8 Mile with which he won The Oscars, Best music and best album with one project. I don't think any other musical artist has ever done that. That alone is worth a legendary status.
Then with Not Afraid, Without me, My Name Is, Love The Way You Lie and so many songs.
Eminem is a legend. The legend. I literally can't go a day without listening to his songs.

Remember that Eminem manifested the Word Stan as something you shouldn't aspire to be. Fast forward 10 years later now you got whole fanbases of Pop artists proudly calling themselves that while trying to cancel everyone who's in their way

Stan is my favorite Eminem track and imo, probably one of the greatest songs to ever be written. To top it off, the music video was a masterpiece!

It's tough for me I loved em growing up in the 90's but he's put out sooo much corny trash it waters down his resume. For every stan there's 3 of those dumb comedy weird voice songs, for every mockingbird there's 4 venoms

Eminem has like thousands of good songs but my favorite is Stan. I remember watching the Stan MV on mtv and my friend screamed and pointed out Stan's ghost on Eminem's window and scared me lol.

People can’t decide what they want. They tell Em to relax with his music, he does and they hate it then they say they want shady back and he returns then people hate it as em said in *Higher* “man they keep moving the goal post don’t they”

No it’s not that people taste has changed it’s the fact that he has become a one trick pony. Rapping about how good you are at rapping is played out and when you constantly do that and make entire albums like that it just gets old.
@@jwood8769 What more is there for him to say? How rich and successful he is? How much pussy he gets? World events? More songs about his family? Detroit? His battle with pills? Obsessed fans? Politics? Been there done that with all of it. The guy is coming up on 25 years of a constant stream of steady releasing new music. If you're expecting innovation at this late stage of his career in this ever changing landscape of hiphop you're asking too much.
As The World Turns and Bad Guy may not be well known but they are part of my personal top 10.

I think "Kim" from The Marshall Mathers LP is an underrated one. The aggression, the disappointment in his verse and vocals are simply astounding. It sends the chill down my spine everytime I listen to it.
And Kim actually attempted suicide when he played it at a concert he knew she was attending

As expected Lose Yourself is in no. 1 spot but for me and a lot of fans Stan was and will be in no. 1 spot. There's something disturbing about Stan yet deeply emotional. It's a masterpiece 🔥

Eminem is literally considered one the goats in rap/hip hop and is currently the highest selling artist in the genre now artist like Nas, Kendrick Lamar, J.cole, DMX (r.i.p), etc are the real artists that don't get the credit they deserve.

Very few rap songs have ever spoke to my soul like “Sing For The Moment”. When “The Eminem Show” came out in 2002 my mother was serving a prison sentence. Music was my escape(still is) That album was and will forever be special to me. “Sing For The Moment” was hands down my favorite song on there. ESPECIALLY that 3rd verse!!!🔥🔥🔥

I really enjoy Cinderella Man I think that is a really underrated song id personally put stan in the first place but either of them was a good choice and kudos for a very nice list tbh The way I am will always be the gold standard. I used to always binge watch WM’s old videos ranking artists’ songs. It helped me get to become familiar with music that was before my time and realize how important the songs were. For a while now it seems they only upload them once a blue moon. I hope that they start going back to it and pumping out Top 20 songs now for specific artists!

Amazingly, I am very impressed with the list you've put together....every song is deserving for the reasons laid out, and it's not just the most popular either. There are album cuts and lesser known (to modern day audiences) but incredibly well written and creative songs. It feels like an actual genuine fan made this list, not just a casual clout chaser...
I feel like “Darkness” from his “Music to be Murdered By” is pretty underrated, it delivers a powerful message about gun violence and the beat and lyrics are so deep. I love it.
Farewell too. I think it's one of his greats.

Stan literally gives me chills when I listen to it. It’s an amazing song.
The best Eminem song was obviously his showdown and collaboration with IBS. Both of them truly put their all into it and it made (in my opinion) the best Eminem track in history.
I'm more of a rock/metal person, never been a fan of rap at all, wasn't my thing. But even I enjoy listening to eminem, and know for a fact he is the best rapper there is. Man has insane skill, there's no denying it

Imagine how hard and headache inducing making this list was, considering the fact that this guy doesn't have a single bad song.

There are so many songs by Em that I love, some of my favorites when I was younger were "Puke" and "One Shot 2 Shot", but one I'm surprised wasn't on here was "Survival" that song was amazing, and was even apart of the music for Call of Duty: Ghosts
Puke was so good, and if you love puke you gotta love the song “love you more” it’s such hardcore rap about his relationships

I still think that recovery was his best album, it’s so personal and many songs from recovery you can referd to your own life. For me, “space bound” is his best song ever wrote it has so many good lines in it

I was in high school when em started hitting the main stream with "my name is" and those first couple hits and wasnt really a fan. And I listen to any music I like from rap to country to rock. But once the more serious songs started coming I was hooked. The guy is a genius in my opinion, he knows what will get the radio time, what will get the hardcore's, and what can hit home and tell a story. not many if any can compete with em, dude can spit a 6 min dis track and not repeat the same line once.
