- Gardening in zone 7b. These are the Clematis that have bloomed for us this year. Some were planted a few years ago and some were planted this spring.

The blue light looks so beautiful!
Blue light is also my favorite out of all the Clematis we have planted so far.
@@FrenchGarden I have always resisted to buy 'Blue Light', but this year I receive as a substitution upon my order, well the young plant grows so very vigorously and produces many beautiful blooms that I adore, next year I also purchase another 'Blue Light' !!
@@TRguy64 I ordered 'Blue Light' based on the picture and wasn't expecting it to do so well. It was an unexpected great choice.
@@FrenchGarden Do you have other doubles that bloom well upon new wood? Years ago, I had the lovely 'Kiri Te Kanawa' that produced doubles for the entire summer. I'm always very interested in new and beautiful clematis varieties, especially those of group 2 and 3 that respond very well to hard pruning. As for singles, this year, 'Pernille' has amazed me, the little plant I received in the spring has flowered its head off! An old favorite is always 'Perle d'Azur!
@@TRguy64 I have Clematis 'Teshio' and Clematis 'Diamond Ball' which always have double flowers , old or new wood. My first Teshio didn't survive the winter when I planted it in autumn, so I got another one in spring and it's doing great. Teshio is one of my favorite clematis.
Diamond Ball didn't perform that great for me this year (it was planted last year in spring), but I will give it another year to see how it does.
'Floral Dance' is a group 3 Clematis, the double flowers are on the smaller size, but I really enjoyed it this year as I had it grown on one of my climbing roses. Did a full trim this spring and it grew back in no time.
For singles, Snow Queen is the best one for me, it has large pure white flowers.
I googled Pernille and the colours are very pretty on this particular Clematis, will add it on my wish list.

I have 2 of those blue light Clematis and they are the first to blooms and still blooming 🌺
Yes, it's the best Clematis in our garden, the blooms last for a very long time. 🐝
