The pronunciation ✅
Chur Neat Alright 💯🙌🔥🔥
@@chevydoitzKiwiVerrer thanks! I Love Haere Mai!
I am not a New Zealander or Maori but I know this song by heart. I am a Filipino and we learned this way back in high school in our glee club. It has always been our opening number for presentations as it is a welcome song and although some of the words we have mispronounced apparently, we are pretty close. but we got the tune right. Until now I can sing this as I still know the lyrics by heart.
@@mamatonett8118 that’s awesome! I now play this song for my students back here in the USA. Post a video of your presentation!
Even though l'm tangata tiriti and only understand a few words, it's impossible not to feel joy listening to and watching you play this. It just feels like home.
@@nikiTricoteuse thank you! It’s such a joyful song! Thanks for watching and your comment!
A really amazing voice and excellent pronunciation of Maori waiata. Just beautiful listening to you. Thanks for sharing this as you are busy doing what you do for long hours each day helping people and saving lives.
Ngā mihi nui me te tuku aroha me te manaaki - Many thanks and sending warmth and caring.
@@CarolineAndrews-rc3id aw thanks for watching and the kind words! This was my mate, David playing when we worked together at Whakatane hospital!
I'm a German and I need not learn the pronounciation o te reo Maaori: Ist is exactly the German pronounciation of the written letters. How is that possible? I don't know! It is … weird.
Kia ora Rangatira ma, not only can you guys pull that waiata off but you can also save lives and give comfort to the sick. Pai rawa atu.
thanks!
Awesome 👏🏽
@@maxinewilliams7803 thank you for watching!
Churrr niiti koe e te matua. Yu be tino rawe to korero maori ne?
i was in whakatane hospital four days ago for minor surgery and would just like to say thank you to everyone that helped me...i hadn't realised David worked there and might still be there...certainly his spirit and kindness is still there...thanks again to the colleagues and staff at whakatane hospital for your care....much love from kawerau.❤
@@miroberries wow that’s crazy! Yeah I worked there and I sometimes played guitar for patients. David was so awesome to work with. Oh no way, you’re from Kawerau! Thanks for watching!

Tena koutou , I am a Maori and a Nurse. Thank you. I listen to you all the time as it lifts the mamae (hurt) that I feel today. The division caused by simple minded people who see us as unworthy. You make me smile ❤
That cannot be true! Some people see you as unworthy? People who were able to settle the whole Pacific Ocean, nearly one third of the Earth? You are an amazing people! Your people are the best navigators the world has ever seen. Be proud to be a Maaori, doughter of a polynesian people.
@grauwolf1604 Kia Ora, thank you for your kind words. Merry Xmas to you and your whanau (family). Stay safe and much Aroha (love) to you all ❤️
@@Tmc1968 thank you for sharing and thank you for the work you do in the medical field!

@@altheavercoe1039 that’s amazing! Not sure when you had surgery. I was at Whakatane Hospital in 2011-2012. My friend David was the one that sang in this video. Thanks for watching!
