scott, great job. i just lost my mom sep,23/2019. i took care of her for 4 years 9 mos....i had hospice/VITAS help me 5 mornings a week..i am very greatfull they were there and for there help..but they are FAR from perfect .they need to be trained in what you do. its hard to instill the things you teach in people who barely make enough to get by.if that....we have such a long way to go with instilling a culture of care giving to americans.
Scott I just came across this ted X online. Absolutely amazing! There is such a need for caregiver support and training in this world. Thank you for taking a leadership role and making a difference!
This is a great product for Occupational Therapists- you may want to attend some PT/OT conventions to get this product out to therapists & more people/families in need
This is very interesting! When I cared for Rose, who suffered with Dementia, it was one of the most challenging times of my life. My brother-in-law had to care for his mother for only 3 months, and he said that it was the most difficult time in his life-more difficult than when he trained and served in the army. I co-authored a book for the health of the caregiver called The Inspired Caregiver and we have tips for the caregiver on our inspiredcaregiver youtube channel. We celebrate every caregiver! It is an extremely dangerous and honorable job! What a great idea to make the gadgets Scott made for his father! And this is how wonderful things are created- when loving people go through challenges and make them available to others. I went to ROS Therapy Systems- looks wonderful! Thank you for sharing! Wonderful TED Talk.
