    Great video and love you are a Fuji man. Would you know if you can use one of the back buttons to action the timer. As you probably know it's a pain to access the menu to select it every time the camera goes to sleep.

    Great stuff Ian, as usual. I really quite enjoy how you lead us through your thinking in setting up your shots and your enthusiam. I also find this to be a great way to compare and contrast my own approach. I really prefer shooting wide-angle landscapes whenever possible. Thank you for sharing your skills and knowledge. I look forward to seeing what you'll do next.

    Nice shots Ian! I find the hard thing about wide angles is how they push everything back so it's harder to see the composition without actually viewing it through the camera.

    Excellent! Really nice shots and good ideas. Finding foregrounds (any foregrounds) is a real challenge for me as I live in a flat area that's either mostly heavily wooded or wide-open (farmland). Actually, I was out and about with camera in hand when your email arrived announcing this video. Remains to be seen if I can make silk purses from those sow's ears I took... LOL

    • @ian_worth
      @ian_worth  11 месяцев назад

      Thanks Len, flat farm land can be a challenge for sure. Where i used to live was very much like that which is why i opted to shoot mainly in the woodland 👍

    • @lphilpot01
      @lphilpot01 11 месяцев назад

      @@ian_worth our woodlands tend, more often than not, to be mostly pine with typically dense undergrowth. There's this one to two meter tall "bed" of undergrowth from which lots of tall and tightly-spaced verticals arise. It can be interesting to find a composition.

    Useful video, Ian. For me, the question of whether to start with the BG, and then look for a FG vs. start with the FG and then look with a BG, depends on the characteristics of each location. Usually, one of the two elements will be more obvious, or more compelling, than the other, and this assessment can also change as the light, tide etc evolve.
