When you buy AG1 you’re not paying for the product, you’re paying for all the Affiliates that promote the product. The affiliates create the hype, and they get paid handsomely for it.
Perfect timing for me, as I’ve been lightly considering AG. Since I eat a varied nutritional diet, & pop a few supplements, I decided against AG. Thanks for this video!
Absolutely fantastic video. You took the time to explain why proprietary blends can be a bad thing. And at prices like that, yeesh! Gotta triple check in the suppliments industry.
Beware: My 34 year old son was taking this for a month or two. He said he felt great and his nails were growing very fast. HOWEVER... during his yearly physical, his liver numbers were so high his doctor thought he might have hepatitis!! Doc asked if he was taking any supplements and said, yes, so he stopped taking it. Numbers are going back down now.
@@Lauren-vd4qe He's young and healthy. Taking as directed. Occasional drinker. Not sure of test, it was part of his yearly physical. He went back and everything is normal now.

Coming from a nutritionist, there is absolutely a benefit for some people to take probiotics on a daily basis. But, it is important to consider, which strains, etc. but I’ve taken probiotics daily for years and they have dramatically changed my day just for the positive
I wanted to state that the very weight of the individual components is larger than the weight of the AG1. Even the weight of the dried reishi extract (not just powdered mushroom mycelium) that I take daily weighs more than the entire daily dose of AG1.
I think AG is great for those who are intermittent fasting. You can still get all of your vital nutrients while only eating one meal a day. If you break it down, you would be spending more than $100 U.S. dollars on that food anyway (if you were eating 2 or 3 meals a day). People will spend $5 on a cup of coffee practically every morning, but they won't spend $3 and some change every day on a glass of nutrients (far better for you than a cup of acidic coffee). If some place like Starbucks made you pay $100 at the end of each month for your coffee allowance, people would say that's too high. It's psychological. People don't notice how much they're spending until after they have already spent it.
Intermittent fasting gives you time to cook a nice big normal meal for dinner full of all sorts of cooked veggies and yummy meat etc. You're not going to want to chug down a basic green smoothie every day after starving yourself. Go for real food.
I love Ag1, and have listened to criticism, and there are real points to be made. The price is steep, but I feel you get what you pay for. It really does dissolve in water and tastes ok. Not great because candy and pizza tastes great, green juice tastes like green juice. Cheap green juice is clumpy and tastes gross. So why pay for something you don't use, when you can pay more for something you really use. I've lost weight and feel better with AG1.I really like Taz's homework, and am open to changing my supplement regiment. I don't use the FULL serving. 1/2 a serving will due, so the price is half in my case.
I didn't mind the taste.I found out 2 days after taking it it contained caffeine from the green tea extract.I literally thought I was going to have to take a trip to the, hospital. And normally I know after trying some supplements you have a reaction sometimes but this was bad guys. I will have to do more research in the future. I really wanted this to work....good luck everyone
You are getting a very high and comprehensive vitamin and mineral profile in AG1 that they actually list. Most of the other "superfood" products do not even list their vitamin and mineral level, if they even have any at all! Just look for yourself and see that it is a truly great product, otherwise they couldn't put that list on their package. I am considering a purchase in the future.
Great video. I enjoy how you left your subjective feelings out of it and kept it to the nutritional facts. The only thing I wanted to see was links to the blends listed.
Yes. This video would have been 10x as great if he'd passed on the links to save us all his hard work. To save money requires a lot of time and inconvenience to do so. It is often the rub. But he could have made it equitable with the links.. a great video nonetheless.
Yes! Been looking for this kind of vid. AG1 has the slick marketing to be the "Nike" of the powdered greens niche. Without a nutritional breakdown of ingredients (and no need for FDA regulation), who's to say it's better than any other product on the market?
I don't use this brand but the money I save in extra meals for my greens powder blend more than pays for itself. Skip 2 restaurant meals a month and you are good. Edit: also have to consider bioavailability of these nutrients vs nutrient pills
It’s also about what’s NOT in it. Athletic Greens blend is free from several ingredients that test as a big irritant for me and are generally wolf-in-sheep-clothing for most people. Flax, sunflower, safflower. READ LABELS as well as the price tag and do what works for you. Any extra nutrition to make up for today’s deficient food is good. And generally, good on you for taking ANY greens. Money well spent for me.
I guess the real question to ask yourself is this: "Can we actually trust that what the label of any of these products is accurate and true?" The supplement industry is rife with products that don't actually contain much of anything more than fillers and there are many sources out there proving that.
Excellent video. The first one I have seen of yours. I appreciate the lack of fluff and padding. Excellent points and illustration of your argument. Never accept products that have a "proprietary blend" ever. We should be able to determine if what we are getting is truly an efficacious dose and aligns with your goals. Cheers from the US.
First review I watched that wasn't actually sponsored by A.G.and to mention proprietary blend. All I needed to hear. Thank you. Best of luck with channel !
@@mikehammond89 it doesn’t. Legally companies aren’t required to release the exact amounts of things in a proprietary blend. (Think of cocacola, you can’t expect them to list their secret formula on the can). This is a problem in the supplement world because people are buying specific amounts of vitamins/minerals. The good companies will list exactly whats in it, but most of the cheaper/bigger brands will have a proprietary blend. In supplements proprietary blends are used to cut corners on cost. Its so they can claim that they provide all the vitamins but by not disclosing the amounts and hiding them in a proprietary blend they don’t have to provide effective doses of those vitamins. Many of these ingredients are basically useless if you don’t take them in big enough doses.
The issue is I have been looking to replace it but quite literally 90 percent of what I come across is crap with a fancy label on it. Here in the US the only way to know if it's legitimate is by knowing the farmer.
I'd say if you got the money to afford it, go for it. It's both a mental and physical benefit since it's so easy and convenient while also giving you your important daily vitals. So far I've been taking it for about a week and I already see a huge difference in my energy and sleeping. Plus I'm a guy who hates vegetables so taking this and just being done with my vitals for the day is really helpful
Only issue is that it isn't really natural and has additives. Mixing up few fruits with water in a blender and drinking is more natural and safe. Also just because you avoid vegetables and drink this green chemical slop doesn't mean your vitals are done. Typical ignorant comment from an American.
Thank you! This morning it dawned on me the brain fog I had been suffering with might be down to A1g1, your video confirms it!! I thought I was losing my mind!
Your cost comparison was interesting. However it could be confusing to navigate all the different products available online to try to get a cheaper price with still really good ingredients
There is no replacement for live foods. Taking a healthy green, freeze drying it and then remix it with water is not even remotely close to the value of the live food.
This dude made a brutally honest review of his girlfriend's present for him-- also this dude is the least disgusted I've ever seen anybody look when drinking AG1
Also it was a present he specifically asked for lol so his critiques are things he could have and probably did know before he asked for it. For example he doesn’t like it’s a proprietary blend…which is extremely clear when you visit their site..so he either never actually looked into it literally at all or he knew the issues before he asked for it.
I take AG1 and have to say its working really well for me, its very easy to prepare and I feel great. A lot of the cheaper options end up leaving more expensive ingredients so as long as I can afford it, I think it's a great investment towards my health.
Same here. I have been taking AG1 for about a year now. I don't think I "feel" any different. I live a healthy life, with exercise and decent diet. But it tastes great.
Apparently the affiliate marketing system gives the channel (who's discount code you use when you subscribe) 30% of your subscription fee. So that leaves a lot less in the pot to cover other costs including the manufacturer's profit margin and shipping. I think that 30% cut might have a lot to do with the positive recommendations.
Taz, I'd agree with all your points here. Having taken multiple different supplements over the last 30 years, I recently gave AG1 a go for two months after seeing Derek @ more plates, more dates give a shout-out to the product. $94 a month (I'm in the US), and I've felt no benefits. I do not take any supplements besides Whey Isolate and eat as cleanly as possible. The proprietary blend is a big red flag for me, even more so than the so-so taste. IMO the cost is directly related to the lavish marketing, packaging, and sponsorship of influencers ( Derek @ More plates included!)
That is why I have been taking Green Vibrance by Vibrant Health for over 10 years. Their complete ingredient transparency is un paralleled. Now that they have the GV+Protein it is a no brainer. Every time their is a new kid on the block like AG or Kylea TL I am always tempted to switch and if I do I always finding myself switching back.
AG is hardly a new kid on the block though. They’ve been around longer than you’ve been taking your supplement. How’s the texture/clumpiness/taste of Green Vibrance? Have you tried AG? What’s a comparison between the two if so?
Yes "Green Vibrance" is one of the greats. They also list their vitamin and mineral content and it is very comprehensive. Many of the other products in Health Food stores next to GV have either very low or no vitamin and mineral content even listed.
I noticed a difference in 2 days, more energy and other good stuff. Also I have reflux issues and this has helped, I think it's the probiotics. I think it's very expensive. But I take half the recommended as I don't think my diet is totally deficient
I'm the same - although I freely admit that it could be placebo effect. I have had others (who didn't know I started with AG1) mention that I seemed to be more "on top" of things and "sharper" than recently before. I don't know that I'll take it every day or go to an "as needed".
That just saved me $100. Just for the simple fact I need to know how much of something I'm taking per day. This could become a really big issue if taking other supplements combined with this
The power of imagination. Ever heard of? ;) And that one does not like to admit that he/she just wasted money on marketing-products. Changing a diet cannot just have an impact so fast on a body, that's shady.
@@hanswurst9397 people are affected different by everything. I can take a pill and feel it's affects after seconds however it takes hour for my friends.
@@Chef8898 The one who pays 3 EUR for a placebo cares because he/she can just pay some cents for sugar and have the same result. Just strongly believe in the healing effect of sugar. My english is not good enough to start an in-depth discussion, though.
Good video. You provided legitimate criticism without completely bashing the product. I think I'm going to give it a shot, although it is VERY expensive considering there are other options out there in the greens market that are a lot cheaper
Good points. I don't expect any greens product to supply everything, but am disappointed that the potassium and Magnesium is not at a daily requirement level. I am taking those minerals by pill form now and am looking for a method that does not require me to make my own. Storing enough vegetables for 8 cups a day is overwhelming. I'm looking for a supplement that covers part of the need. And I am tired of throwing rotten vegetables away that I can't get to quick enough. THAT is expensive too; quite likely more than the $108/month (US).
Can you store Frozen vegetables? I had the same problem as you until I did this now I can buy in bulk and get zero waste just pull what you need from the freezer
Just to clarify - the AG1 product has a full ingredient list detailing the amounts of each vitamin and mineral, e.g. 420mg of Vitamin C and 22mcg of Vitamin B12 per serving (you actually showed that in the video on the ingredient list!). Granted the remaining food-based nutrients are grouped in to categories and given a weight of each group, i.e. 7386mg of "Alkaline, nutrient-dense raw superfood complex" which includes multiple ingredients. I don't think that the "proprietary" blend comment means anything. It just means they own the blend - which is the same for any food product. I do not dispute that this is a premium product but the basic premise of this video seems misleading.
Propietary blend means that they have to list the over all amount of ingredients of the blend and that means that there is no guarantee of the amount of the ingredients in the serving or the 30 day pouch that you get. The ingredients listed are basically just what goes into the batch where your pouch has been filled from, but you could look at it like blind picking food at a buffet, you take a scoop a mixed food and it's up to chance if something is left out.
That is what got my attention. They have a comprehensive and good list of the vitamins and minerals contained within, that show it is better than just a "daily salad". Most of the other brands either do not list any vitamins/minerals content or it is minimal and pathetic.
@@miguelmejia4656same. A lot of 3rd party tests have shown they have superior ingredients to pretty much every other option out there. Not to mention their vitamin derivatives are listed, unlike things like enso.
Thank you so very much, I was going to finally place an order with this company after seeing some reviews. You are 100% correct I have an autoimmune condition and need to watch everything I take and I already take some regular supplements.
Young organic wheat powder, every day 10 - 15 grams in 2 to 3 dcl of water... There is no better fuel for the immune system. Another supplement is 100g of organic blueberries and raspberries every day. Third, 750 ml of organic carrot juice every day. Try it and check your "Blood picture" after two months, you will be amazed. Good luck.
i got a bag of the stuff and was thinking about a year sub for the product. But i wanted to do some research and now not so sure. A ton of extra stuff you really dont need that makes expensive pee and your 'bathroom' time forest green.
I know it’s been half a year but keep in mind most other products are lower doses so while it’s less money per serving, the serving itself is better generally from athletic greens.
I think you did a really good job doing a critique just based on personal experience. And you are right 100% that the price is a significant point. I have been taking AG1 for about two months now. I bought it because I eat healthy, but but still lack a lot of vegetables in my diet. I take meds that back up my system something fierce. It has regulated my movements. I find it wakes me up in the morning better than coffee and I no longer feel I need a nap mid-day. I find it has also regulated my hunger. Right now I'm losing weight (2-3 lbs/week) and I'm not hungry. Now is that worth the money?!? So I buy the two month supply for $160. I also found that I get the same benefits listed above taking it every other day (3-4 times a week). That comes out to $40 per month... Much more doable. Are there better and cheaper alternatives, I'm sure there are, you just proved it. Still, AG1 is quick and easy so I'll give it a few more months and see if it's something I still want to pay for. Thanks again for the video.
Thanks for your video Taz, I was half considering the AG1 supplements but you are spot on with the research you made (saves me doing it) total waste of money better off shopping around and buying individually. Many thanks 👍
If you have the money, it's not bad. It's expensive, yes, but I don't have to take 43 different vitamins and vegetables in the morning. Which makes it less likely I will skip and go for an ice cream because it's easier
Consumer fads are timeless. Whether it’s super greens, perfect multivitamins, or the perfect super fruit only found in remote Himalayan regions, Americans are pretty hooked. Best bet is to eat whole foods, exercise, minimize alcohol consumption, and take care of your spiritual and mental well-being.
This is my issue. I’ve found comparable brands that I think have very good reputations and cost loss. Admittedly, AG1 tastes better than the others I’ve used. But taste isn’t my goal. It was a fun 3 month trial but I am ending it as well.
I agreed with your video review of Athletic Greens (AG1), Taz. I never tried it, and my main reason is its current "extortionate" price. I simply cannot afford it for my household budget.
Just the analysis I was looking for! THANK YOU That "proprietary blend" thing wasn't sitting right with me. Will look into your suggestions and might make my own to try. 😉
Seriously don't buy Ag1 until you have a good talk to a professional dietitian, it has 400% vitamin C and that's absorbing all nutrition, I found out I had the 'celt gen called Hemochromatosis, I was told to immediately stop taking it along with huel, as huel has to much Iron and the Ag1 was absorbing the iron at 400% more than what my body was, my specialist said if I'd kept taking both I'd very most likely had some form of organ failure, so be very careful, check your health, then make sure it will be vital for health at 100$ a month.
Yes the priority blend is a red flag. For decades I’ve been taking Greens+, by Genuine Health, a Canadian product. Everything is listed on the label. While I don’t eat processed foods, cook for myself and have a regular vitamin schedule.. I noticed a diff. consuming Greens+ from day one.., so have continued. Gotta warn you though.. I gagged on the stuff to begin with 🤑
The supplement ANIMAL Greens and Jocko Greens lay out ALL the ingredients. I'm currently debating on them, No Blends, ANIMAL seems to have a 100mg blend not 100% tho, listed check them out
The Ag1 is ok but I’ve had much better results from the Ag2 when it came out and it has a better taste. Ag1 on occasion would upset my stomach that’s when my coach told me to try the 2, so glad he did
"Hey darling, love of my life, partner beloved... remember this green powder you gave me as a present for Christmas? Well I dissected and analyzed it, and told 136k+ people that I wouldn't buy it and it wasn't worth it. But it's the thought that counts!" Thank you for the analysis though. It did help me in my decision to purchase AG1, so, it was a good watch ^_^
I think possibly the number one factor for most people with this is convenience. And while I do admit that you can definitely get the same vitamins and supplements cheaper, can you guarantee they are of high quality? I feel like athletic greens at least has a lot of research behind it, and seems to be supported by a lot of Scientific and Dr. type people
I came here because my favorite comedian recommended it while getting high and drunk with his buddies. But I'm glad to hear "doctor like people" dig it too. :)
I’ve taken Athletic greens for almost 15 years. They didn’t used to advertise At All. Price has not changed. And everyone leaves out that as a subscription, the price drops. Still pricey, but trade-off is quality…I too think it’s the research and sustainable good sourcing of ingredient. Or as best as any can.
I agree with the message of the video. Others - experts included - have stated the same problem (lack of transparency) + price. A (german) investigative team has also pointed out in detail the sophisticated marketing strategies of Athletic Greens including their very frequently changing informations on their website. All in all, there is too much marketing and hype, and too little facts around AG1 - "been taking AG1 since months and have never felt as good as I now do" is not a very valid basis. I personally eat very healthy since quite a long time, and avoid artificial nutrition, excess of sugar, fat, no meat and very little animal products.
Proprietary blends are like a secret recipe, it doesn't mean they're hiding information or that each bag has a different ratio of ingredients or a varying blend. A proprietary blend is a unique preparation of ingredients in a dietary supplement that is formulated for a specific purpose. The quantities and ratios of ingredients in the proprietary blend are considered a trade secret/secret recipe. I do not understand why so many folks are upset about a company protecting their recipe from being mimicked. Personally, I know plenty of reputable companies that do this with their products, and they are top quality and the benefits are noticeable. That said, I only take 1/4 of a scoop per day, so the cost doesn't bother me because a bag will last 3-4 months. I do have sensitivities to milk thistle, however, so I might not be purchasing again after this. As for the probiotic comment -- most cultures consume foods high in probiotics - fermented foods etc. Yes, we absolutely do need to eat these foods or a take a high quality probiotic for a balanced microbiome but ESPECIALLY after an infection or round of antibiotics, not JUST/ONLY after. Knowing which strains benefit your body and its unique needs is also important. Yes, specific strains can cause brain fog etc. It's important to know which strains do what for us and which strains to avoid. For example, I can only take histamine neutral or histamine degrading probiotics since I dealt with histamine intolerance. These things are more complex than people realize, and definitely more complex than a Medium article will lead you to believe.

How does it compare to AG1 ingredients wise? Have you ever tried AG1? Just curious Bc I like AG1 but if there’s a cheaper option that compares, I’m willing to try it
I love the taste and I love the product. The way I justify the cost is that it has replaced my morning coffee. I get an energy boost when I drink my AG1.
I just got an ad of AG1 right after your conclusion to avoid it. This is hilarious. Also, don’t forget that all these bloggers get paid a percentage of sales they generate from their "promo codes"
Hey mate, great comprehensive vid. Just curious, so I i was to take, the vitamins and minerals mix, greens blend, adaptogen mix and mushroom, would I need to take other vitamins? I am pretty healthy, it's more just to fill in any holes I may have with diet.
I bought it. My wife and I are on it daily now with a protein enhanced meal replacement by Huel. I am not a morning person, I sleep horribly, and I was exhausted two weeks ago to the point of passing out after work...I was nutrient deficient. I start with ag1 when I wake up and sip my shake til lunch. I instantly feel awake and alert with the ag1. The shake adds substance (calories). I then eat a good lunch (500-700 calories). At the end of the day, I'm still amped, ready for more work around the house and with an increased libido, the wife is happy too. AG1 has directly affected my entire life in a positive way. I can source all this myself, but I work too much and like to spend my time on projects, not finding organic spirulina... 😂 At any rate, this is a great review and I hope you find folks do your due diligence and try something new!
No. Not a bot. Just a guy that listens to Joe Rogan and tries new stuff. Works well for me. The wife loves it. We're now on month two and no complaints except the shaker they sent on the first round was garbage cause the seal was pinched in the lid...this last one they shipped was fine though.

As for the apnea, I am sleeping better...it's not a fix, but I'm having far fewer episodes it seems and even if I groggy from crappy sleep this stuff gets me going. Thanks for the compliment. As part of an individuals full research in to whether AG is a good fit for them this video offers us some useful insight. However, it is limited as it only offers us a financial perspective, and even this is not an entirely accurate one. For example, unless you are able to source all component products from one online source (to achieve free delivery) or are lucky enough to walk to the relevant stores, then there are additional financial costs to consider when taking a non-AG all-in-one product approach. Fuel costs to the store also need to be factored in, unless you can procure the ingredients alongside your regular grocery trip, and once again we have to assume a single location for sourcing all ingredients otherwise those fuel costs increase. In the U.K. procuring all ingredients from a one stop physical shop would be a challenge and it is not unreasonable to assume two or more separate delivery costs may apply if sourcing online. Sticking to the financial perspective time is also money so consider your hourly work rate. For example, if you are earning £20 an hour in your ‘9-5 job’ even spending an hour sourcing and procuring the ingredients reduces the cost of the AG product somewhat. Think… how much do you value your time v money savings. If we just accept that AG is an expensive product then we need to compare it to a close rival, for example Fuel 33. On a crude calculation only AG is only approximately £7 more than Fuel 33, and before commenting on this please know that a single serving of Fuel 33 is only 5g v AG’s 12g. If you took only a 5g AG serving then it would last you 72 days and each 5g serving would be a more potent dose of nearly all components compared to Fuel 33! And yes, AG components far exceed daily values and we could argue that exceeding these is merely a waste of money on unnecessary mg/mcg’s but given a choice I feel most of us would opt for ‘more bang for our buck’ or any over supply rather than under supply where the body may not reach the necessary threshold levels from which users then subsequently experience and enjoy the benefits. Overall considered in isolation AG is expensive, yes, I agree, but when considered within a wider picture, actually no, it’s a high quality (component rich) competitively priced product.
Absolutely. Also, knowing how supplements such as these are being made it wouldn't surprise me if they cut corners for all kinds of shenanigans. Not knowing how much of any given ingredient is present is a huge red flag for me!
Hi Taz , thanks for the tips on this product I was shearching info and I found you. Make totally sense to me, also because I check other specialists on the sabject.
AG1 makes me a little nauseous and lethargic. Every supplement is not for everyone I guess. I'll go back to the vitamin supplement I've been using for years.
You're citing 1 paper on probiotics? Consistent science would generally disagree with you. By your logic, no one should eat Sauerkraut regularly, which is a far greater source of probiotics than AG1. I've done this break down numerous times and quality combined with the amount of the wide variety of vitamins and minerals, I'd spend far more than the $80 subscription price (in fact, I do). My body, like many others, also don't absorb pill form vitamins well, particularly people with regular digestive issues like IBS or chronic GERD. So to get better forms of vitamins or minerals you may be deficient in, that's even more expensive than pills. Everyone harps on the proprietary blend, which could be a mask or it could be so other companies don't outright steal their formula - That's just good business. In cost comparison, do you get what you pay for? Example: Your multivitamin - B12 isn't methylated. Doses are all low and bordering on insignificant in some areas if your diet is shit. I don't see anything on their site about being 3rd party tested, etc. It's a half assed comparison if you think you're getting a high quality product for cents a day. That's not how the world works unless you're being ripped off. And here's the real determining factor in my own experience, because unlike you, I DID test it. I'm a sober alcoholic, so I spent years destroying my body. For a couple years after getting sober, I spent a good amount (more than Ag1) in total for quality, 3rd party tested supplements and my blood tests barely moved in that time. My B12 did raise some when I began a spray instead of pill form. However I did see improvement across the board with AG1, simple as that (and it actually saves me a few $). Now here's the real point you missed that unless you've done thorough research on supplements: AG1 intentionally leaves out some minerals because they inhibit the absorption of other minerals. They are combinations you simply shouldn't take, backed by science. Your choice of multivitamin throws them all in there and you're possibly hindering the effect of a few of the ingredients you think you're getting. Short story long, half baked, unresearched or thought through review from a guy who doesn't exactly look like the picture of health.
They run ads on prime time TV, they're clearly raking in the dough. Way too many people would rather just drink a green shake instead of eating real food and that right there is the problem.
Just one thing I wanted to point out. 66 mg per mushroom isn’t very much and youd be better off getting anywhere from 250-1000 mg of each. You also have to be aware that companies don’t like to specify whether you’re getting the fruiting body ( the part that comes out of the ground ) or the piece under the ground. Youd rather have the fruiting body because it’s where most of the benefits of the mushroom are.
When you buy AG1 you’re not paying for the product, you’re paying for all the Affiliates that promote the product. The affiliates create the hype, and they get paid handsomely for it.
I just wonder why nobody in the AG1 commercials look like they are even drinking it. They barely put it up to their lips and then the shot cuts away
I tend to steer away from products that hide behind 'propriety blend' despite how much hype it has. Thanks for the review
It has zero hype
All it has is a lot of Advertising

Coming from a nutritionist, there is absolutely a benefit for some people to take probiotics on a daily basis. But, it is important to consider, which strains, etc. but I’ve taken probiotics daily for years and they have dramatically changed my day just for the positive
Hi. Would you mind sharing which probiotics you take?
Why do i fart a lot after the 1st month of taking probiotic?
I wanted to state that the very weight of the individual components is larger than the weight of the AG1.
Even the weight of the dried reishi extract (not just powdered mushroom mycelium) that I take daily weighs more than the entire daily dose of AG1.
that is a huge point if thats the case. crazy
It's all chemical rubbish. Avoid packeted products and consume natural stuff. Much healthier.
V good 👍
Intermittent fasting gives you time to cook a nice big normal meal for dinner full of all sorts of cooked veggies and yummy meat etc. You're not going to want to chug down a basic green smoothie every day after starving yourself. Go for real food.
All supplements are a scam if not prescribed by a nutritionist

The AG1 ad I got on this video:
I love Ag1, and have listened to criticism, and there are real points to be made. The price is steep, but I feel you get what you pay for. It really does dissolve in water and tastes ok. Not great because candy and pizza tastes great, green juice tastes like green juice. Cheap green juice is clumpy and tastes gross. So why pay for something you don't use, when you can pay more for something you really use. I've lost weight and feel better with AG1.I really like Taz's homework, and am open to changing my supplement regiment. I don't use the FULL serving. 1/2 a serving will due, so the price is half in my case.

Wrong. What's in their proprietary blend? Google it. You don't know, and they will not tell you. It's proprietary.
I guess the real question to ask yourself is this: "Can we actually trust that what the label of any of these products is accurate and true?" The supplement industry is rife with products that don't actually contain much of anything more than fillers and there are many sources out there proving that.

Where are you getting proprietary blend from? I just checked their website. It lists how much of everything is in 1 serving for AG1

Agree. I just started today and I think this is the way yo get the vitamins needed each day
Only issue is that it isn't really natural and has additives. Mixing up few fruits with water in a blender and drinking is more natural and safe. Also just because you avoid vegetables and drink this green chemical slop doesn't mean your vitals are done. Typical ignorant comment from an American.

Is this supposed to be a full vitamin blends as well?

Well caffeine does tend to make people feel more energized.
The commission on AG-1 is massive which is why the big name platforms push it.

Good points. I don't expect any greens product to supply everything, but am disappointed that the potassium and Magnesium is not at a daily requirement level. I took this for 5 days. On day 5 of no pooping I quit. I just stick with my vitamins that don't stop me up.
I've been using athletic greens for years and I've never had an issue with them.

I'll add it to the list 🙏
I take it every other day. Cuts the price in half
I take it Monday Wed Friday lol even better ....

I agree with the message of the video. Others - experts included - have stated the same problem (lack of transparency) + price. A (german) investigative team has also pointed out in detail the sophisticated marketing strategies of Athletic Greens including their very frequently changing informations on their website.
Where can I get a list of histamine neutral and degrading probiotics strains ? Also, a list of which strains cause brain fog ?

@@frankbunny9294 your comment was too good to be true! I want to believe in it! Plus the apnea comment. I’m speechless. Thank you for this reply. I’m fully aware you could very well work for AG and you’re doing a good PR job by commenting this kinds of comments. I better find out myself. Have a great day Frank 🙏🏼
@@losvideosdegonzalo I didn't want to waste the money. I work 10 hour days in a manufacturing environment and was falling asleep at work. I don't want to get addicted to caffeine and sugar causes cancer (so I read). So the only answers I could find (as far as what my issue was) was malnutrition or chemical imbalance which might be helped with better nutrition. Sea moss has more of the minerals you need, but it takes time to prep and tastes like the sea so I figured why not try AG1 (it's easy and fast so it doesn't cramp my routine). As for the apnea, I am sleeping better...it's not a fix, but I'm having far fewer episodes it seems and even if I groggy from crappy sleep this stuff gets me going. Thanks for the compliment. Wish I got paid for reviews/ads.
Yeah, I love the list of ingredients but the fact I have zero information of how much of which there is in it ... red flag ...
It has caffeine in it from the green tea extract....if you are sensitive to caffeine & have hormonal issues for women over 40 that are in Premenapause be careful. I took it for 2 days & had the worst reaction I've had in a long time. Head ache ,nausea , abdominal pain, flutters,ECT I was soooooooo looking forward to it.headache both days. I tried.... Sorry AG1
Fuel costs? 😂 What are you talking about? You can get year supply on single trip or postage
As a health and Supplement junkie
$100 a month I'll pass I'll stick to the original Amazing Grass for $30
the "proprietary ingredients" are a dealbreaker. Great job with the video!
Absolutely. Also, knowing how supplements such as these are being made it wouldn't surprise me if they cut corners for all kinds of shenanigans.
Not knowing how much of any given ingredient is present is a huge red flag for me!
@@roaldruss4211 Sure you know. For example magnesium 26mg. etc.
google the label it tells you everything thats in the blend
That’s where they get you. They don’t mention how much they put in there.
Hi Taz , thanks for the tips on this product I was shearching info and I found you. Make totally sense to me, also because I check other specialists on the sabject.
Thanks! I decided to try!
AG1 makes me a little nauseous and lethargic. Every supplement is not for everyone I guess. I'll go back to the vitamin supplement I've been using for years.
Thank you, you saved me a lot of money in 8 minutes! 🎉
AG does use fruiting bodies, I called and checked... now MUD WATR admit to using fruiting blocks, AKA the stuff in the ground
From the studies I have seen, you want both fruiting bodies and mycelium.
