Another tricky thing about Speakeasy is that it fades away to almost exact base as Atman Xaman by Lorenzo Villoresi. And that base is gorgeous. As for Atman Xaman itself - it's the one of timeless masterpieces I ever smelled.
Enjoyed the review, even if you did not enjoy the fragrance. Seeing how you review what you consider an average fragrance lets us see how much more you appreciate the good ones! I look forward to your next one. And what would you recommend as a citrus fragrance to get excited about?
+Harry Abernathy I did once a review on my top 5 citruses: ruclips.net/video/q8iWKYHXxiY/видео.html Eau de Rochas is definitely a classic yet not dated citrus wonder, while Tous Sport man has a lovely modern citrus with a grea, lingering oakmossy finish!
+Scent “Chris Georg” Land I had forgotten about that video. I already use Eau de Rochas and Vicky Tiel's Ulysse for lemon scents, and this summer I've gone through a few samples of Bond No. 9' Eau de New York. I was surprised how much I really liked Eau de New York, but I'm not quite ready to spend that much on a bottle yet. Do you have any opinions on the even older school citrus frags, such as Fath's Green Water, YSL's Eau Libre, and the original O de Lancome?
Well they all can't be winners. Really interesting to hear your take on it and how it almost made it but ...nothing special. It is a shame this was a miss. Iskander by the way is the way the ancient Persians said the name Alexander (the Great). You got that at the end so that makes me happy. With that name it should have been a legendary all conquering fragrance. I love the tie!
I do love the negatives reviews....when the rationale is explained and the fragrance is covered in detail; excellent job! Like it, love it or hate it? Just as long as someone explains their reasoning then who am I to disagree...I respect their decision. However, I cannot stand haters who, under the guise of a review, spout their idiocy without any objectivity whatsoever. Even worse is people who dislike reviews simply because they disagree with the reviewer. Moreover, I despise the knuckleheads on Fragrantica who post meaningless nonsense such as, "Smells great!" or "This sucks!' Ugh! I would love nothing more than to beat these people to death...with a compete sentence no less. Lol. Again, enjoyed the review; well-done!
