The federal government such as the SEC needs to provide more oversight with the SROs. As a former Sr. VP at Bank of America I was appalled at how the big banks treated regulation and legislation. It is time for the government to get more involved with the big banks and legislation. We are federal taxpayers and support the federal government at the end of the day.

I've got a Chase U.K. account, but am pondering on leaving them once the cashback incentive ends because their service at times is unavailable and that's really annoying because our money can't be used or accessed and that's really, just unacceptable. Plus, they offer no way of logging in via a browser nor does the app have a dark mode.
I see on your website you used Revolut for your comparison, except Revolut isn't comparable to Chase, Starling, and Monzo for one very simple reason: It's EMI, not FSCS.
Chase will need to wake the hell up if they want to keep customers happy rather than have them leave.

Hi great content ,I am off to the states for three weeks later in the year,I am with Lloyds and have a master card ,if as you say they use master card exchange rates is it worth me opening a chase account to use or is it fee free in certain circumstances?

It's fee-free abroad, but it's only accessible via the Chase U.K. app, as of yet there's no way of logging in thru the website/browser (Chase U.S. does). You'll need a modern smartphone, a passport/driver's license, and take a photo of yourself (selfie).
Enjoy the U.S., though since they still have the vax requirement it's obvious you took it, so all the best. For my health I'm not taking it and so I can't go (much as I'd like to be a U.S. Citizen, because of this roadblock it has delayed my process).

@@PhilipMarcYT thanks for the info Phillip, yes did the Vax , couldn't do anything without it , don't think I would again with all the unexplained deaths ,turned the booster down even with the relentless emails and texts ,looking forward to the states again for a longer time this time ,

Is SSN required for account opening in Chase Bank ?

assuming you are based in the US, Chase states on its website that "When we set up or manage your account information, we're required by law to have your Social Security number on file. "

@@Moneytothemasses The U.K. Chase version/app feels very rough, basic, and incomplete. I really hope they get their sh*t together because I've been with Barclays for over 16 years and never had a problem with them. Chase? A bit too often.

Sadly, I have had a very negative experience with Chase Bank UK, it’s all very well them offering theses flashy numbers to entice you, however, my account was scammed by another Chase UK account which they admitted was a fraudulent account, however, they rejected my refund appeal. They had the crime reference number, and they knew the culprit, but still refused to refund my money. Customer service is poor; I was unable to speak with anyone except their first line support who were extremely unhelpful every time I called. My case is now with the Financial Ombudsmen after it took them 3 weeks to generate a Final Response Letter.
Very poor, unfriendly, unhelpful bank. Avoid at all cost.

My sister called Chase for them to help her opening an account (as she was having trouble opening one due to the finnicky passport photo thing) and the guy (with an Indian accent) was of no help, he just told her what the app stated.
Considering Chase is an American company, outsourcing customer service to India (or Indians) feels very cheap, dishonest, and low quality whereas American Express (credit card company) actually has a quality customer service from the U.S. (and U.K., I assume).
Moreover, I too am disappointed with Chase because they keep making so many bad decisions and mistakes, yet they're a massive American bank so they should have launched with a near-flawless U.K. bank and bank branches. Sigh.
