All a win win for me. I’ve been budgeting £500 a month for my daily spends with the chase account this past half year. The added interest on the current account is nice. I add the cash back to the savings account and watch that build up as a mini emergency find

Just seen the email about this. I give myself £400 normally but transfer a fair bit more into other pots from Halifax via SO. Do you think I will be able to send the £500 then move £100 to to a sub account and still get the cash back? I don't see why not, I can always move the £100 at the end of the month if it's not spent.

@@usefulrandom1855 yes this works, I moved £1k from a Halifax account to the Chase current account and then instantly moved it into my chase savings and it qualified me for the cashback the next month.

My cashback is about to run out in April. Chase sent me an email to remind me of that but didn't mention anything about the cashback being extended. I was tempted to phone them up in April and ask if they could extend it for me.

Great clear video - you do explain better and clearer than anyone else I have to say! quick question if I may- I have 1k sitting on a normal Barclays account ( emergency fund that I dont touch) - am I better off transferring this to my Chase current account to benefit from the 1% interest on my balance or is it best to open a saving account with Chase and leave the money there to get 3%? thank you :)

    • @MylesHSG

Put it into a chase savings account, it's still instant access so no worries there and if you did need to spend some of it just move it onto your chase current account to spend using your card.

The success of the developed world is largely based on our use of fossil fuels. To then speak from a place of privilege as a person living in a rich country, where you are happy to benefit from that success, and demonise the industry is so hypocritical and frankly ungrateful. Would you rather all investment in fossil fuels was stopped today? Of course not since we don't have enough alternatives yet, but you want to pretend like anyone investing in it is somehow a bad person. This is simply a luxury belief
