A couple of points. Mylar blankets aren't blankets. They don't insulate. They're good windbreaks and rain shields. They reflect body heat if there's an air gap, otherwise it's just like a sheet of thin plastic. Which can be useful.
In cold weather a mylar blanket can lead to hypothermia because even at rest and even in cold weather, the body produces moisture that condenses on the inside of the sheet. Your clothes can get pretty wet in the course of an hour or less. You need to allow enough air circulation to move the moisture out. Unless you're expecting the ambulance to arrive before condensation occurs, in which case you can ignore all of the above.

Great explanation as always, and a big thumbs up for your buddy for helping you to demonstrate nicely.

Minor point but lifting the outside knee up when going into the recovery position makes things easier and less violent on the patient.

I think your patient is just sun bathing tho. He is way to relaxed.

In my country they have these in Gold and Silver metalic colors. I asked the staff at the store and they said the Gold color is to keep the heat in, whereas the Silver is to keep the cool in. Is this correct??
