People nowadays are not strong enough like our forefathers, not physically strong, emotionally. Everyone efforts are tremendous to prove themselves right and others wrong, I myself being emotionally disconnected from this world 9 years back and felt the same as Ranbir's character, who am I? What am I doing? Then I found Her ❤ My girl and she lead me to light, the source of my emotional power through Lord Krishna 🙏 we're so Happy now 😊 all of us my mom dad everyone got me back to life.

When he said Don will return he didn't mean that he is changing . He was being sarcastic because during the engagement ring scene Deepika said that she is in love with don( the version she knew).. his frustration from everything was directed towards her.

Ved wearing gray-ish clothes representing the brain nd tara wearing red representing the heart.. Its like the brain (ved) wants to escape nd push everything away but the heart (tara) doesn't want to let go..
4:20 Actually, Imtiaz Ali the director saw a girl crying copiously in that exact same cafe. No one was bothered to check on her. That's how he came with the story of Tamasha.
In the pub scene, with the song 'agar tum saath ho'. When Ved says, wait for Don he will come - he is not talking about himself or that she should wait because he is changing. He is mocking her saying - Oh you wanted that Don guy right ? why are you settling for me... keep waiting, i'm sure that perfect man of your dreams will show up.
Tara's POV is that ved is that perfect guy (Don) but he has indoctrinated himself to act "normally" and lost his spark.
Ved is not at that point where he can accept that and let his true version out. He knows, that part of him is starting to leak out into his daily routines, but at this point he is still trying to control that.
It is an amazing scene and some of the emotion does get lost in the translation. one of the more iconic piece of bollywood filmmaking.
I highly highly recommend watching the making of that scene with the director explaining what the characters are going through and how the two actors made the scene alive. It's a youtube video called Tamasha - Inside a scene by Film companion.

4:40 actually The colour of ved and tara outfits represents Brain 🧠 and Heart ❤️ respectively at this scene.
It's a story of 80% of youngsters in india mostly engineer and doctor... the best movie .....

I saw this movie in theatre in first week only 10 to 15 persons were there in hall. Big flop then. Today its a cult movie considered best from director imtiaz ali.
