Wow. That was unbelievable to see your stunning layout with all the lights on. That is fantastic. So impressive Mick. Thank you once again for taking the time to make these videos. Brilliant 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Mick thanks again lovely running session. The detail you put into this layout is amazing..you sure have amassed serious knowledge to have the knowhow...utterly brilliant love the Garrett...regards Chris
Glad to see your getting through the video's. When you have so many Loco's you need to be able to sort problems out or it will cost a tidy sum to keep sending them away. All the best. Mick
Thanks for another great video Mick. As usual I been waiting to see what goodies you have on Lakeside for us this month but somehow I missed the notification and am six days late watching. Lol. ... Wow, loving that wonderful train of 74 owners wagons behind the Garrett, that looks absolutely superb crossing the steel viaduct. Also I like the short rake of Yeomans and nice to see a Hymek doing the work. I've always had a soft spot for the old Hymek since my layout as a kid in the sixties. Again, Wow, the night time shots are very impressive. I certainly think you got the light balance right, it looks like just after dusk would. Anyway, until next month take care and thanks for all the hard work you put into these videos to entertain us... Chris.
Hi Chris. Thanks again for your support and the comment. I have not run this Heljan Hymek for a couple of years so thought I would give it a run. The decoder blew up after the Video, motor got very hot. I will be running other loco's that have not seen the rails for some time plus I may show all of the diesel fleet. Take care. Mick.
Hi Mick- I missed you at GETS and I too missed the meet up but managed to stalk a few people including Peter Dixon. As you know I love the shots with the bridge and the favourite for me was track cam with the long rake of wagons dissapearing accross the bridge with the tail lamp flashing - magic. Nice new additions too Mick ...............................Keep Well........Cheers Kev
Hello Kevin. Sorry we didn't bump into each at the show, may be at the next one hopefully Ally Pali, thanks for the comment and your support. Take care. Mick
Great piece of work. The large steel bridge is most effective. I like the running of modern image and steam side by side as there is so much impressive rolling stock across both epochs. Well done and thank you for sharing.
Fantastic as always Mick. I wish I could have got to GETS but travel is still a long way off I think. You have got me drooling over the Beyer Garratt loco. I would love one of those, amazing pulling power. Your new wagons look great, a Foster Yeoman class 59 would go well with those. The night running was interesting. In real life it can be too dark to see the trains too but I think dimmable lights in the room would allow you to light it just enough to see them. I was a bit disappointed that you did not run alongside the Garrett so we could see the wheels and rods in action, maybe another time. Hope you are all keeping well. Regards, David.
Hello Dave. Thanks for a great comment. The class 59 from Dapol is on order, can't wait for that. Doing the night shots was a trial and error as you say getting the lighting right, this was a 4th attempt. Running along side I should have done but I thought I had enough footage of the Garrett and didn't want to over do it. You stay safe over there and look after your self. All the best. Mick & Shirley
Michael, Absolutely superb Layout. One of the best I have seen coming out of England. Great camera work during the night and day running. Mike HO from Australia.
Very nice set-up Michael. You've worked hard. Entertaining video. Will keep up to date if poss. I like Everard Junction details (smaller layout though). Thanks.
Absolutely superb Mick, the night shots are how we both remember, great scenes around the RM Depot, Shunter will be working very hard to keep up with the influx of Vans & TPO’s The Garrett pulling power is immense, didn’t actually see one in person, but was told of their power. Fantastic video, keep it up.
Thanks Alan. This took several takes to get the lighting at the right moment to suit the camera, come out well in the end. Love running the Garrett. It does make me think of the station and what we did on the night's. Great to see you at the show and hope the book will give you much good reading. Take care. Mick
Only ever seen one other version of a night scene , it was from close encounters , pond lit up well , only a " fraction " close to lakeside railway in comparison 🚇🚂🚃🚃🚃🌃🌉🌆🌇 , hopefully you'll have a 3d printer to print out some replacement parts or more postal cages if ever needed , would be interesting to see what you could add with your own scale of scenes in mind, not that lakeside any but as you say in other video the cages n things three a peice , unique lakeside printed bridge coming right up , delivered by the deltic class , anyway Mick , great videos great layout ,thanks again for sharing a work of art 👍☕🚂
Hi Mike, the night views are very interesting, very suttle lighting not over the top. great stuff. The Garret loco is supurb and looks great pulling that long rake of mixed coal wagons ....thanks for sharing.....all the best Tony
Hi Michael incredible layout. Definitely one of the best I have seen on youtube! Love the lighting as well, makes it so effective. Hoping to try and achieve some lighting on my N Gauge layout!
Hi Mick, great video yet again, nice new 66, sorry I missed you at the train show had to work, but will be at the gaydon show at the end of the month if you’re there ???, Great night running shots too, the layout looks amazing in the dark, Take care see you soon, stay safe regards Mark 🎉🎉
Hello Mark nice to hear from you. You missed a good show but hope we will catch up when Ally Pally is on. Is Gaydon a train show, this is where the GETS was held before going to MK. Thanks again for your support. Take care. Mick
Must have taken a while to put together that mixed freight the Garratt was hauling, looked very impressive, and the Garratt certainly done well with that load! And I must say that the layout looks amazing at night, the different perspective gives it a totally different feel. Really does look great.
Wow Michael, 74 wagons! just shows how well you laid down the track that they behaved themselves. Great video as always and was really great to have met you All the best Peter
Hello mick kev how long did it take you put them 40 wagons on track , enjoyed the video ,I've done three videos on johnrey ortiz model railway just started another layout build
Hello Kev. I know I said forty on the video but the Garrett is pulling 74 wagons, did take a bit of time but does look good and the sound gives the impression it's pulling the load. Thanks for watching. Mick
