Hi Michael, great running session, i too have the Bachmann Midland Pullman int he same all blue livery, it is a serious bit of kit that stands out with it's amazing detail and smoothness, i have Howes sound on ESU v4 sound decoders that i hope to get re-blown very soon, i'm glad you got the Pullman HST set and full rake of coaches, i hope you didn't over pay for it, your layout is superb, thanks for sharing.
Hi Stormmy. Thanks for watching. I got a good deal on the coaches from Hattons £25 each but had to pay £343 for the HST from my loco shop, that was with a 10% discount. I too have the Howes sound fitted in mine which I think sounds very good. Take care. Mick
@@michaelsmith-hn1cn Hi Mick, to be fair the Pullman HST set is rare now, I’m glad you got great discount on the coaches, it is a seriously lovely looking set, reminds me of the Bachmann Midland Pullman, I think the wheeltappers sound file sounds better than the Howes sound file, maybe I will have another listen to make my mind up. Have you seen the new prototype HST Bachmann are bringing out next summer? It looks very smart, I just hope the produce a dummy car to go with it, the livery on it reminds me of the western Pullman livery so hopefully Bachmann can sort out some coaches or a couple of barrier coaches to go with it, purist may frown on it but I’m not into the hobby the way I am to please people.
@@michaelsmith-hn1cn Hi Mick, check out the Rails of Sheffield home page, it is a project with another retailer and Bachmann, it reminds me of how close Bachmann are to producing a class 43, the price for the power car is £199 which is ok but the is no dummy car unfortunately, they could easily produce one for those of us who want one, a couple of barrier coaches in the same livery would make a great set.
Hello Matthew. Hope and the family are good. Thanks for the comment. I thought it was time to give these a run and for once the video came out ok. Have great Christmas in case I don't get a video in before. All the best. Mick
The Pullmans looked great today Mick. I really like the natural sound of the Tri-ang one.. I too have had comments in emails that won't post on the video, it's quite annoying. David.
Hello David hope all is well. Yes I have had this happen about 5 times and it's annoying because you think viewers think you can't be bothered to reply. I the old Pullman ran very well after a little oil. Thanks again Dave for watching, take care. Mick
Hi mick, hope you’re good chief, nice update on the royal mail yard, should run more of the tpos sometime, only 120 passengers that’s shocking 😂 Ok warley, we’ll, we went on the Sunday I thought I was dead, and a bit disappointed, something felt a bit wrong the vibe wasn’t good and thought what’s going on, couple of good O gauge layouts for me but that was it, hopefully new year will be better, Take care mr, 🎉🎉🎉
Hi Mark. I find it a drag these days to do such a journey, it take at least 3 hours on a good run plus the cost. I had 2 friend that went, one said it was all 009 and o gauge and the other said it was expensive buy did enjoy the train ride. Keep in touch buddy. All the best. Mick
Michael - at the begin of your video the class 37 pulling the hopper wagon there is a bump in the track to the left handside of the level crossing, more noticeable with the red hopper wagon going up in height then coming down.
Hi Paul. The first to pick up on this. I watched this with the wife and she spotted it also. Have already dealt with it, think it was a bit of ballast. Thanks for mentioning it. Take care. Mick
Good morning Michael, nice blue running session today you’ve done a lot of detailing in the Royal Mail depot like it and 140 passengers & 27 staff on one train unbelievable but really looks good what patience’s you got (should be a doctor) lol 😂 cheers Al
Nice to see the eastern region station sign I n the blue, my favourite region from my childhood spotting days at Hornsey. Pity the midland pullman didn't survive, I still remember after spotting at KX walking over to. ST Pancras to see the then brand new midland pullman. It's actually funny now as I thought it looked wonderful but even now think how grea it would look in proper pullman livery.
Hello Steve. Thanks for the comment. My brother and I used to go down to Kentish town road and watch it come along. What a pity they did not preserve one. All the best. Mick
@michaelsmith-hn1cn I sometimes went to Kentish town then caught the train to south Tottenham where I lived. That pullman look great until BR got obsessed with corporate blue and yellow fronts. I also remember going to the train spotters stand in Finsbury Park and watching DP1 roar past
Loved it Michael I have the Bachmann with blue ends you dint do its Party Trick though my Bachmann Sound in my Pullman has Stn announcements have to say its my Favourite sound I have Great Run mate Thank You
