Great video Michelle! I'm loving the out of the box Karen videos! Outside of your channel most Karen videos are gross and clickbaity. Your clickbait at least always makes sense when watching.
@@KP-5928 its very hard to make a 100%healthy bowl 1000 calories. Veg, fruit and some meat, while can be high caloried, usually arent. Now you could def eat that through an entire day, but not in one meal unless you put a ton of dressing on it, which then makes it unhealthy.
Generally speaking women need around 2k calories, and men need around 2.5k. This is obviously not taking a LOT into account like physical activity. SO what is wrong with 1k meal.. Well you are going to be hungry later in the day, and odds are since we are talking about a lunch.. Well that means breakfast already happened. Granted there are always exceptions, I know some people eat their all of their calories in one meal a day. I also know some only eat 2 meals a day but they are the outliers not the normal person going to this place. Me personally I don't eat meat, so I doubt they would have anything I would want. I also don't get lettuce I normally get spinach instead. Why because lettuce is like drinking water, and I want something with flavor not a bland, no/extremely low nutrient thing that really brings nothing to the meal.
As someone who seeks out lettuce purely for its texture, I can 100% see how someone could do the opposite. People are so weird and care WAYYY too much about other people
Is it just me, or have people really dialed up the rudeness since the beginning of the pandemic? Michelle, glad you're fair on this channel and not just out to bash people who happen to be obese.
You are not the only one who has noticed. Saw a video about concerts post-pandemic and many people are saying that concert-goers are much more wild and more rude.
People are sick of the way some fat people act. He had to ask her if she wanted it remade but it isn't reasonable to actually have him do it. All of that food just got wasted cause she's too much of a sack of sh!t to pick it off.
@@Lindseyisloony I think it's a little extreme to call her a "sack of shit" for mentioning that someone didn't make her order correctly. Some people have food allergies and can't eat the food even when it's picked apart, restaurants are used to dealing with this and the one burrito bowl will be a drop in the bucket compared to all the food they'll throw out at the end of the day.
I worked retail during the pandemic (lockdown and 6 months post-lockdown) The rudeness had gone from few and far between to every other customer. I used to end my shift in tears most days.. and my experience with a customer cussing me out because they forgot something in their online order and got mad when i said we were no longer able to add on to an order over the phone, finally pushed me out of retail. I bet my left toe that a lot of people left retail cause of the growing rudeness
Absolutely! Especially with driving. I've seen more awful driving within the last year than I have in my whole life beforehand! People are getting more aggressive with driving like cutting each other off, purposely making right-hand turns super slow (as in a snail's pace), _running red lights_ I cannot tell you how many times I see people run red lights around here! I live in Northern California so it might just be a local issue but people just act like the lights aren't event here, and they do the same with stop signs! I see people just straight up drive right through stop signs without even slowing down! And of course there are no cameras around, especially at the traffic lights. I know for a fact that the whole county I live in could significantly lower our taxes if they just put up cameras at all traffic lights because they would make so much money off of tickets that they wouldn't need as much money from us as residents (in taxes). Sorry for the mini-essay, I just needed to vent lol
I used to work at chipotle: they came out with guidelines for keto, paleo and whole 30 so someone already on the diet could have their little bowl without destroying their diet. And that started a trend of people treating the workers like dieticians. Asking totally out of place questions like they were going to start keto right then and there. Luckily I am actually very educated on fad diets and food in general (because I went to school for it but that's another story) Asking things like " Does the dressing have carbs?" This is when I started to act my wage and just started telling everyone they better google it because I don't know shit. Moral of this long paragraph, don't go to Chipotle to start your diet. Those kids don't get paid enough to help you out. And their boss tells them to, I will now quote directly here: " SHAKE ENOUGH SALT ON IT TO PUT THEM INTO CARDIAC ARREST" so please, please just eat your cheat meal and shut up about health.
I wouldn’t ask ridiculous questions. Mind you I am vegan so they probably wouldn’t have anything for me. But I agree underpaid students paid minimum wage aren’t going to be studying the nutrition contents of everything on the menu. It’s a bit much to expect.
@@spirals7354hey weren’t speaking about keto being a fad, they were to referring to fad diets in general. With that being said you keto people give me cult vibes
@@SillyGoose-tz7nsthey never said keto isn't valid. Just that they know enough ppl who act cultish and makes it feel weird. If you don't act weird then cool. Don't take things personally when its clearly not meant for you. It's like how many ppl hate vegans but they have thar specific obnoxious bozo in mind, and not the normal ppl who are vegan
Chipotle literally has a calorie calculator 😭😭 as someone who's worked for fast food the second ppl get in a line for food thier brain falls out of their ass, it's a fact
It actually works the other way around, too. When I was very thin in my teens and 20ies, people kept making comments about what I eat constantly. "Of course you don't eat this because you don't want to gain weight" "Maybe you should stop eating vegetables and take something nutritious??" "You think that (pointing at my body) looks beautiful?" " Oh, you don't want coffee after your meal? Afraid of getting fat, huh?" (no, I just didn't want coffee, thanks) "I'll give you a much bigger portion than the others, you need to eat more!" (thanks, lady in the canteen, but I cannot possibly eat that much at once - so now I have to throw food away and people keep staring at me while I do it). Didn't help me in developing a healthy relationship with food. Nowadays it is much better thank god. I just wish, people would stop commenting other people's eating behaviour in public without being asked. Why does that trigger them so hard? I am just here trying to live my life dammit!
YUP. Every one here saying this never happened, yet I had the rudest, most hateful, unsolicited comments about my body and food when I was fit, from strangers and co-workers alike. And, I truly hate fast food shedded lettuce.
YES 👏👏 I physically can’t eat fried food without getting super sick. I have friends that say “you need protein”, “I’m concerned you’re not eating”. I’m at 22 BMI, so I’m not even anorexia lean.
I recently tried baby spinach & enjoyed it (other than the feel of the stem randomly while biting) so will be replacing iceberg lettuce with that when making tacos or such dishes since it is far more nutritious.
Amen, Michelle! Roasting vegetables is a game changer! There are a ton of veggies I always thought I hated, but it turns out my mother was tricked in the 80s and 90s into thinking boiling or steaming was the "healthy" way to make every vegetable. I promise, no one one earth is fat because they added half a teaspoon of oil, and some salt and pepper, to a full serving of vegetables before putting them in the oven, but you will be a lot happier to eat brussels sprouts if you do.
I LOVE cooked cold Brussel Sprouts without anything... My boyfriend roasts them in the oven and that's great, and I like it. But when I am for myself I make them my way. Just a big pile of cold green gold.
This! I read something in Shape magazine over a decade ago that said “think you don’t like something, maybe you just don’t like how it was cooked.” Made me think. I like so much more than I thought I did, just not the way my mother made it!
As someone who worked a decade in customer service-yeah, I believe this really happened. I used to see customers make snotty comments to each other when I worked at subway. Always judging other peoples less healthy food choices because you can tell they've only been on a diet for about 2 weeks and they feel superior to everyone else in the room. People who are always calling these situations fake come across as people who have never encountered anyone outside of their little hometown bubbles. This attitude is super common-even before covid. I wouldn't even classify this as a bad encounter, just one of many mildly annoying encounters. Not to make it a competition or anything, but just to point out how painfully common it is and how bizarre it is that people think its fake. Get off your computer and check out the real world. These assholes are not fiction.
It definitely happens, but I do think its a little suspicious when the same person claims her boss not letting her eat during a zoom meeting is fatshaming, and that she got fatshamed at the gym for using an elliptical. Its a lot of mean little annoyances that aren't at all uncommon until they're all happening to the same person seemingly all the time.
I’ve been shamed on more than one occasion for choosing healthy foods, whether at the grocery, or restaurant. Or attempted to shame me. I used to get self conscious but now I don’t care.
Lol I love that! Lady you’re at Chipotle! You already made the unhealthy choice. I swear to God the biggest trick the devil ever pulled was convincing people that 1000 calorie burrito bowls were the healthy choice.
Don't blame restaurants for people's stupidity. You know where Chipotle tells people to consume an entire bowl or burrito in one sitting? NOWHERE. They don't. And if you're not an idiot you should know that those are not single servings of food. Nobody should ever need to explain that to you when they put the damn calories right on the menu!
People get really angry when you come between them and their Chipotle. I had an experience once where the woman in front of me was waiting on an ingredient. I didn't have time to wait, so I chose ingredients that were available, and they had me skip past her in line. Well this woman had a fit that I moved around her- even though I was instructed to do so. She ended up right behind me in line because her item was done like 15 seconds later. She started having a temper tantrum to the cashier- who didn't know what was going on- about the "importance of making sure people pay for their food in the same order they started in". This was not the day to be rude to innocent people around me because it was the 1 year anniversary of my dad's death so I was already in a mood. I cut in and said they had me go up front because YOUR FOOD WASN'T READY! Do you really expect to hold up the entire line as you wait? There's no reason that the line has to stay in the same order. She started screaming at me and I screamed YOU'RE A FUCKING BIIIITTTTCCCHHH!! inches from her ear and walked off.
I'm so sorry about your dad and that some crazy psychopath bitch just had to make the day worse. Just shows we never know what those around us are going through so why do people have to be such assholes all the time...
@@minicrushies Yes. A few times. But they aren't the only ones. I believe there's also been issues at Subway and packaged grocery store lettuce in the past as well. I think prepackaged, prewashed, shredded lettuce is just vulnerable to causing illness. I've seen them chopping lettuce at Chipotle though. I don't know if that's a new thing to prevent it, or if there was an issue with the lettuce cross contaminating with raw meat. I love Chipotle, but if the lettuce doesn't look good to me, or if I see the restaurant is looking messy, I skip it. I worked at a Wendy's restaurant in the 90s when I was a teenager and there were a few times we had to pull all the lettuce or we'd go a month without having it because someone somewhere got sick.
I've worked in customer service long enough to know that these karens do exist, and are sadly, way more common than you'd think. So I 100% believe that some B decided to make a big deal about someone else not wanting lettuce on their burrito bowl.
The only reason I could see someone being upset, is because someone would be holding up the line. But, if she said no lettuce, and the employee wasn't paying attention, that's a bit on them as well. Now, I'm vegetarian, and I'm allergic to peppers, so Chipotle is not for me, but every time I order a burrito somewhere with no rice, I do feel like people think I am a weirdo 😅 I recognize that's on me though, I know no-one really cares
I feel bad because a lot of people are committing regular old bullying and giving it a label like fat phobia, sexism, ableism. When it used to just be called bullying and the human condition. People might close their ears when they see the word fat phobia, when this is a real case of bullying and I feel awful for this woman.
More rude than bullying. anyway i hear she has a rep for complaining about being fat shamed everyday so its prob made up or extremely exaggerated. Either way side comments are common as heck sadly and you responding to them fuels them a bit like a irl troll , not a good response if you don't want drama.
@@Michellemcd543 apparently she's recovering from a restrictive ED and told her boss she had to eat at that exact time otherwise she'd be starving herself. I can't remember if it was Alan Roberts or Papa Swolio's channel that I saw it on.
Restrictive eating disorder or not it is mess up to extend meeting over lunch time... especially if for hours! Once in a while okay...but every day? No no
I like romaine or iceburg lettuce on things. Not because it's full of nutrients or anything, but I like the crunch, the coolness, and I do like that it takes up space that might have been filled with cheese or something like that. But yeah, if you're a paying customer you should get your food how you want it (within reason, duh). Lettuce lady needs to mind her own beeswax.
It's not taking up space that would have been filled with cheese; more like with grains or meat and it's not nutritous or filling so you'll just be hungry again sooner.
I honestly love you so much when I started watching you videos a year ago I was 370lbs and watching your videos help me realize I did not want to live like that and it has been a tough year but I'm down to 270lbs and I'm starting to like my body... I feel like more and more folks heard that people, especially autistic people, have sensory issues when it comes to certain foods, so the fat acceptance movement heard about it and now uses it as an excuse to not eating half of healthy food. But also the other customer in this scene (the Karen) should really shut up
I am autistic (I was properly diagnosed, back at the time when it was, not considered cool to have autism). And I am very tired of people using me to justify being cowards or lazy.
Yeah. Sensory issues or food sensitivity isn’t a «get out of jail free card» for being rude. It’s serious issue that can cause huge problems, and can even cause distressed behaviour, not a pass to purpusfully make things difficult for other people.
my husband has been suggesting i'm on the spectrum for almost 2 decades now (im 40) and i keep seeing things about food "issues" and i'm really starting to think he might be right...
Ugh, the nerve of this Karen, lecturing someone else about unhealthy food while standing in line at Chipotle... Watching you get to the plot twist was hilarious, loved every minute of it hahaha
The fat woman probably lied. It reads way too much like a bad fanfiction, and I’ve seen a lot of fanfiction. The only thing I believe is that she didn’t want lettuce and the woman behind her snorted. That’s it. Everything else is probably a massive lie, and it’s really cringe that she’s doing this in adulthood.

I think I've seen too many of that woman's Tiktoks because she would have you believe this kind of "fat shaming " happens to her every single day. I incident or maybe 2, sure. But every time she goes out it seems someone says something to fat shame her. I start thinking, "yeah...this didn't happen." I think sometimes she might put her own insecure words into people's mouths. That's my opinion about this particular person. I know there are no doubt a-holes in the world. But there are also story tellers.
She also pretends to have a restrictive ed which is so offensive considering how long I’ve been struggling with one. Her “safe foods” show me that she is cosplaying having a severe and deadly mental illness and deserves whatever negative feedback she gets at this point
Chipotle lettuce is romaine actually. Woman was still 100% in the wrong though. Something similar happened to me a long time ago. At Starbucks I ordered a nonfat mocha and they asked if I wanted whip, and I was imagining the type of whipped cream from the supermarket that was low calorie, so I said yes. An older woman standing behind me in line scoffed at me and was basically calling me an idiot for my choice. I felt like I had to defend myself and I was embarrassed. I later found out they use heavy whipping cream so I get her being like “huh?” But the way she went about it was just plain mean.
Also, what if you where counting your macros, so you went with a nonfat mocha so you could have the fat in the whipping cream 🤷♀️ could have been a smart tradeoff
The supermarket one has lots of calories too. One is nonfat so no fat but it's like 120 calories for a spoonful or two and there is a TON of sugar in both versions so while it's nobody's business the kind of whip that it was makes no difference here.
@@sugarplum2467 Sure. I mean the calorie/fat thing is not the point. What if I just enjoy the taste of non fat over whole milk and it had nothing to do with wanting to have a low calorie drink? It's just never anyone's business so it's never ok to condescend.
She was completely out of place. You can do whatever the hell you want and don't have to answer to anybody. She needed to mind her own business instead of judging and running commentary on yours.

Direct from a Chipotle mgr, me: taco lettuce should not be put on a bowl unless asked for. Also, taco lettuce should not be offered by line workers on any items except tacos. Edited to add that lettuce allergies are also a real thing. Love your videos!! 💖
I imagine that's why the employee sticks to the basic ingredients so that the customers know what they're ordering & whether they're allergic to any part of it. (Hopefully also self aware that if they are allergic to one of the ingredient they'll need to be wary of cross-contamination between the rests.)
@@brialeah7351 It's possible. I'm allergic to cilantro - I so much as touch it and I turn red as lobster and suuuuper itchy. Can't even wash dishes that had a bit of cooked cilantro on it. My dear... Once again your video reminds me to stay on track, thank you so so much. I am not someone who was blessed with good health, as I grew up such problems started to demolish my quality of life. I wisited a lot of doctors and general advice was to just loose weigh, and I don't even have much extra kilos, it is not a primary concern for my health. I was discouraged because of such one-sided fits all diagnose... But your brutal attitude woke me up, like "if so many reputable people tell me to loose weigh, maybe I should really try it". Are my health concerns neglected by doctors because of my weigh? Maybe. But weigh and unhealthy diet that supports such unhealthy weight can mess us up in ways that even doctors don't know much about. It was my personal mind-blowing knowledge.
I can totally get not wanting lettuce from a fast food chain. Whenever it's an option, I'd take spinach over lettuce any day. We don't have Chipotle where I live but I find most places use the worst lettuce. Not not even just any old iceberg lettuce but way more stem than the leaf itself. Shredded is usually way better, but sometimes its clearly some old sad lettuce that was long forgotten about until making its way into my wrap. Plus, after hearing about a few local cases of E. Coli in iceberg lettuce, I am even less trusting of fast food lettuce, as I'd imagine qualitify control would be very difficult in large quantities.
I've seen so many Karens in the wild (and don't even go out much). It's wild what people think they can get away with. Once at Subway, I saw a woman scream out her order, then literally snap her fingers every time she thought the worker was doing something wrong (note, she didn''t give instructions at each step. no no no, she came in, said someting like "Give me a meatball sub with lettuce pickles onions tomatoes oregano and american cheese and wheat bread and toast it twice" and then refused to clarify any of those steps. Like, the person asked "you said lettuce, pickles and tomatoes, right?" and she snapped back with "I already told you!")
normally I would agree with the logic of asking for extra iceberg lettuce being a waste of money (b/c it takes up space), but at chipotle, the lettuce is one of the very last things they add. the last thing is either cheese or lettuce. If your bowl is quite full by the end (which mine usually is), they can't even add much lettuce b/c of lack of space. I say this just b/c I personally like the texture/taste of lettuce and have to ask for more at the end lol
I don't know why, but RUclips decided to play your videos. I binge listen at work and allow auto play to pick who I listen to. You made me giggle out loud causing me to get strange looks. Now I have no choice but to subscribe. Thank you for the entertainment during my long night.

I have this with onions! I have severe food related sensory issues and the slightest bit of onion will just ruin my food for me and make me sick. The amount of times I've gotten reprimanded over asking for no onions... My dad has it with cilantro and my grandfather with cucumber (I love both, lol) but since those are a lot less popular they get less shit for it. I often feel like a little kid picking onions out of my food, it's embarrassing really but it's one of the few things I truly can't stand, so I can completely relate. Also if you're going out for fast food tbh, you're already way past the point of healthy, and since you're paying you should be free to remove what you don't like.
In and of itself, I love shredded lettuce..! However, when I get grinders I deliberately DON'T ask for lettuce cuz like Michelle said, they use lettuce to "bulk it up." Like I've gotten, let's say, a pastrami grinder and the meat to lettuce ratio is laughable. More like a lettuce grinder with pastrami garnish! Sooo not exactly the same situation as this girl, but I get where she's coming from and that some people just like their food certain ways..!
I really enjoyed this video, and I think if the girl watches your video she’ll feel much better about the situation. You are so funny, and I imagine that your jokes would be very comforting for her to hear and laugh about the situation looking back.

Honestly I half expected that tiktok to be just a girl ranting about something she deemed unfair or "fatfobic" but happy to see its not for once and I actually think she has a good point. Speaking for personal experience for the longest time I didn't like lettuce for the texture and the taste and I've had people judge me for it before when really why the hell does it matter I'll get what I like and u get what u like. Honestly if I was her I'd just say that and move on with my life
People who think this TikToker is lying must not ever go to fast food places. When I used to Doordash and wait for orders, I would overhear customers be SO blatantly rude to either the staff or other customers and it was always over the dumbest not-an-actual-problem things.
So, I was reading the comments. Her story sounds absolutely real because it happens all the time in restaurants. But, apparently, this certain TikToker makes up stories all the time, which is why some people think it may be made up.
Haha, I am keto OMAD with PCOS and lost 70+ lbs that have been kept off even after stints with carbs. Being 5'2, 1000-1500 calories a day is perfect, and one meal means that my insulin levels are down throughout most of the day save for the meal. Less PCOS symptoms, great blood work, keto did my taxes too /s. Haha, anyway, I have genetics that benefit from low carbohydrate intake as per the SNPs that I have analyzed in myself. Do what works for you!
before Chipotle mysteriously disappeared, I got food poisoning at 3 different locations in 2 different states and ever since it has come back, people are like "Why don't you go it's expensive but good!" I'm not risking getting sick again for shitty food. I'm really not. There is more to worry about when it comes to Chipotle than whether someone puts iceberg lettuce on their burrito bowl or not
Two little things though: 1) Chipotle has romaine lettuce 2) You get lettuce at the very end of the line, so it's not really there to bulk the bowl up. The rice and beans are really the cheap foods to bulk up the bowl Chipotle can be a pretty healthy option. Most of the produce is fresh and gets salted in store (rather than being loaded up with crazy amounts of sodium for preservation), but yeah the rice is cooked with oil, the bowls are actually really huge even though they don't look like it, and it's super easy to end up with an insane amount of calories in your food while feeling like you mostly made healthy choices. Source: Used to work at Chipotle
So everyone is attacking iceberg lettuce when the culprit was romaine all along? I probably would have asked for a remake. I can't stand the taste of romaine lettuce. I don't care how much everyone says it's the healthier lettuce. I don't like the stems.
Lettuce is totally a food a fat person would look at as healthy. I might be speaking for myself but as a lifter and “healthy” awful fit person, I don’t eat that shit. Edit: okay maybe tacos. Good call Michelle.
Absolutely, OPs story is bulls... She definitely fears being judged for her weight, and wanted to generate "supporters" to compensate for that reason. I can't stand people like that; only their feelings ever matter. My daughter was "skinnyshamed" last year in a supermarket, and I now have less sympathy for the obese. (But my kid didn't make a TikTok about her embarrassment.)
That's what I thought as well. I think that the lady behind her might have even scoffed or rolled her eyes because of the slight delay she caused by asking for a new bowl, but the rest of it sounds like a story she made up because she is insecure about being seen as "the fat chick who avoids anything healthy". In reality the person behind them would propably have rolled their eyes at any delay, not giving a flying f...fundamentalist about whether her bowl was healthy or not. People go to fast food places because they want the food FAST.
For fast food, chipotle is pretty healthy. Like around 800 calories of grilled meat, rice, dairy, beans, and vegetables. Thats a normal meal for a man or larger for a woman, and it actually uses real foods. You could sub cauliflower rice to cut some carbs if you want. Just seeing people scoff at chipotle being unhealthy, when it’s really what subway pretended to be. Now subway is serving footlong cookies and churros, so they’ve given up on being seen as the healthy fast food.

Imagine believing extra lettuce is gonna make your like 1000 calorie bowl healthy.
😂😂😂
I get your general point but there is also nothing inherently unhealthy about eating a 1000 calorie bowl if all the ingredients are healthy...
Wait... it... doesn't...? Well poo. :(
As someone who seeks out lettuce purely for its texture, I can 100% see how someone could do the opposite.

I worked retail during the pandemic (lockdown and 6 months post-lockdown)
The rudeness had gone from few and far between to every other customer.

Ooo love spinach in my sandwich
I recently tried baby spinach & enjoyed it (other than the feel of the stem randomly while biting) so will be replacing iceberg lettuce with that when making tacos or such dishes since it is far more nutritious.
I hate lettuce too. More so because it is basically green water lol
"I want lots of lettuce because its healthy" lady, you ordered a 665 calorie Burrito Bowl, you left healthy in the parking lot
To be fair, a calorically dense meal does not make it unhealthy. There are plenty of healthy options at Chiptole.
@@chickenindoubleC 100%. It’s my cheatish take out pleasure. Pack in your protein, Strip it down and it’s not a “bad” meal.
665 is not a big number if it’s dinner. Protein and a stripped down bowl (no sour cream, no guacamole etc.. and no chips) is just fine.
honestly, if you don't douse your burrito bowl in queso or sour cream, you can have a decent meal.
You say 665 like that's a big dinner. That's not.
Brussel sprouts crisped in the air fryer is 🔥
This! I read something in Shape magazine over a decade ago that said “think you don’t like something, maybe you just don’t like how it was cooked.” Made me think. I like so much more than I thought I did, just not the way my mother made it!
@Cordelia I'm so glad I'm not the only one! They're so delicious. I don't get the hate for Brussel sprouts.
Brussel sprouts ftw I love them roasted

Chipotle isn't even unhealthy
As a general rule, I just divide anything I order out in two because portion sizes are bonkers.
Real question. The power bowls at Taco Bell? Thoughts?
Please go easy on me. I'm really wondering..

" Biiiiiitch" LMAO. I love you 😂😂😂😂
People get really angry when you come between them and their Chipotle.
Also a good reason to never want their lettuce is because it's a great way to get e-coli.

Did you watch the whole video? This person is absolutely insufferable in her other Tiktoks, but if this actually happened to her, then she wasn't in the wrong.
I don't think it happened to her though because apparently she has a ton of stories like this.

NOT LETTUCE 😫 I hope someday to have so little bothering me I have time to tell strangers about my food preferences with an added side of sensationalism.
I work at Subway and if I put a dressing on your sub I can’t get off (it doesn’t matter who’s at fault), I’m wasting it and making you a new one every time, even if we are busy. The employee did what should be the standard.
I was getting ready to get something unhealthy today then your video popped up… I feel like it was my mom scolding me for making a bad decision. I sat my behind right back down.
you're awesome michelle!!
there's a story of a lady that complained that someone hooked her up with a discount. it's getting weird living in the upside down.
Direct from a Chipotle mgr, me: taco lettuce should not be put on a bowl unless asked for. Also, taco lettuce should not be offered by line workers on any items except tacos. Edited to add that lettuce allergies are also a real thing. Love your videos!! 💖
But people are allergic to EVERYTHING.
Beans, Meat, Dairy, Garlic.
I imagine that's why the employee sticks to the basic ingredients so that the customers know what they're ordering & whether they're allergic to any part of it.
(Hopefully also self aware that if they are allergic to one of the ingredient they'll need to be wary of cross-contamination between the rests.)
A lettuce allergy????? Hmmmm....
@@brialeah7351 It's possible. I'm allergic to cilantro - I so much as touch it and I turn red as lobster and suuuuper itchy. Can't even wash dishes that had a bit of cooked cilantro on it. If I eat something with a tiny amount of cilantro in it, even taking medication I can be miserably red and itchy for at least a half hour. I went to carefully put some salsa in a little cup for my dad who wanted El Pollo Loco, someone bumped into me getting a tiny drop on my finger, my whole arm turned red freaking that other customer out. Cross contamination is so common, I won't eat anything from any Mexican or Latin American restaurant, Chipotle included - cilantro is incredibly pervasive in that cuisine.
Some allergies are just a nuisance, and while not necessarily life-threatening, it doesn't mean it shouldn't be taken seriously.
@@NotAFanOfHandles while your allergy is definitely documented, in my career serving obese people they are the ONLY group to ever cry allergies when it comes to bloody iceberg lettuce 🤦🏽♀️
I have sensory issues (neurodivergent) with food being too soft. Apple sauce makes me gag, I hate hot/steamed veggies and fruits. And that includes pie and cobbler. For veggies I need them to be crisp and hard same for fruits. If my fruit is soft I can’t eat it
Lettuce is the last thing I would want extra of in my bowl. It's basically eating air
Wouldn't be shocked if this happened at all. The internet's gotten so burned by attention-seeking liars that they hear something vaguely remarkable or unusual and assume someone's making it up.
I don't have a lot of food I really hate, but if someone put sour cream or mayo on my food in a way I can't scrape off easily then I would definitely have to make them remake it, so I get where she's coming from on that.
But it was lettuce on top so not the same
Lettuce lady must be real freakin miserable in life to be so affected by someone else’s burrito bowl choices

I've been there. You know the employees at these places just get in a rhythm and don't think and you can't blame them. I was at subway and at the end just when I was going to say "Only mustard." the woman grabs the bottle of mayo and does two/three lines of it on my sandwich. And I'm just like. . .I don't want mayo. I just want to say... your videos have inspired me to not crash diet....its been a serious problem for me....I've always done the extreme and it has led me in and out of the doctors office far too much....so I know its not much but today is day 2 of slowly changing my eating habits
Its a weird feeling not to spiral
There were weeks that I would eat 500 cals a day...and work out for no joke 3+ hours a day and then only 32 oz of water a day then I would get beyond hungry I would start eating normal.....then I would binge for weeks to the point I couldnt move
So I'm proud of myself and you gave me the confidence to do this the right way
I'm waiting to work out until this doesnt feel like a diet
Coming after Chipotle, I WILL NOT stand for this 🤣😭
im glad youre not one of those ppl that just like "sure that happened", like ppl are wack and do wack stuff all the time. like karens are absolutely everywhere. like ive seen karens be rude af to bigger ppl in public- some ppl really do just hate certain groups of ppl. when im underweight ppl are sooo rude so i honestly believe bigger ppl when they talk about being harrased in public
i hope an employee or another customer told the karen that her chipotle bowl was 2000 calories and all that lettuce she requested isn't gonna change the fact that chipotle is unhealthy 😂

@@kyrus4989 oh dang lol I was hoping she wasn't one of them
Other than that, I do believe this could happen. I am socially awkward and kinda am an easy target, so absolute strangers have been cruel and unkind, and when I try to talk about it people don't believe me because "that never happens". I don't like to assume that people make things up because you never know, but based on other vids of hers, yeah this was an altercation she fantasized about it in the middle of a Chipotle and she got herself so worked up she made a video about it.
Though stuff like this does happen. In a grocery store the woman in front of us was clearly preparing for a party she had balloons, chips, soda, etc... then my mom who was in line behind her tells the cashier to not mix up their foods bc ours is healthier. It was so embarrassing. Yes my mom is a Karen. Yes this shit happens.

Love the videos and consistency Michelle
Lettuce lady🤣😂🤣. Love you Michelle and your fur babies💖💖💖
normally I would agree with the logic of asking for extra iceberg lettuce being a waste of money (b/c it takes up space), but at chipotle, the lettuce is one of the very last things they add. the last thing is either cheese or lettuce. If your bowl is quite full by the end (which mine usually is), they can't even add much lettuce b/c of lack of space. I say this just b/c I personally like the texture/taste of lettuce and have to ask for more at the end lol
Haha I always call it "crunchy water" since I know it's gotta almost no health benefits.
I was fat nauseated by the Chipotle food bowl lady.
I don't know why, but RUclips decided to play your videos. I binge listen at work and allow auto play to pick who I listen to. You made me giggle out loud causing me to get strange looks. Now I have no choice but to subscribe. Thank you for the entertainment during my long night.
I would’ve been like, “oh sorry for holding up the line ma’am, enjoy your crunchy water”
I know it's been a hot minute BUT I hope you're feeling better after all your health issues! 💖💖 I love your videos and you inspire me to do better. You really deserve all the health and wellness in the world 😊
I have this with onions!
I absolutely LOVE onions
But, they’re so pungent and often slimy, or very crunchy, that it’s totally understandable that they are not for everyone
I do want to say that Chipotle has romaine lettuce. That’s it 😂
In and of itself, I love shredded lettuce..!
Any shredded lettuce (ice/romaine) at a restaurant or fast food place is always gross! It’s always slightly brown and soggy!
Facts. The lettuce is always wack at fast food places.
OMG, so has tacobell been ripping me off too?!
I’ll take “Shit that never happened” Alex for $200

Honestly I half expected that tiktok to be just a girl ranting about something she deemed unfair or "fatfobic" but happy to see its not for once and I actually think she has a good point. Speaking for personal experience for the longest time I didn't like lettuce for the texture and the taste and I've had people judge me for it before when really why the hell does it matter I'll get what I like and u get what u like. Honestly if I was her I'd just say that and move on with my life
The plot twist moment is so funny i can't stop laughing
People who think this TikToker is lying must not ever go to fast food places. When I used to Doordash and wait for orders, I would overhear customers be SO blatantly rude to either the staff or other customers and it was always over the dumbest not-an-actual-problem things.
So, I was reading the comments. Her story sounds absolutely real because it happens all the time in restaurants.
But, apparently, this certain TikToker makes up stories all the time, which is why some people think it may be made up.
I think this must be a US thing. I've never heard this sort of shite in a UK fast food joint. Not that I go to them very often, mind.
I went to chipotle and I asked for lettuce and they threw a handful of cheese on my bowl… were they skinny shaming me?
Haha, I am keto OMAD with PCOS and lost 70+ lbs that have been kept off even after stints with carbs. Being 5'2, 1000-1500 calories a day is perfect, and one meal means that my insulin levels are down throughout most of the day save for the meal. Less PCOS symptoms, great blood work, keto did my taxes too /s. Haha, anyway, I have genetics that benefit from low carbohydrate intake as per the SNPs that I have analyzed in myself. Do what works for you!
That’s amazing! 👏🏻 🎉🎉🎉🎉
before Chipotle mysteriously disappeared, I got food poisoning at 3 different locations in 2 different states and ever since it has come back, people are like "Why don't you go it's expensive but good!" I'm not risking getting sick again for shitty food.
The rice and beans are really the cheap foods to bulk up the bowl
Chipotle can be a pretty healthy option.
I absolutely love you. Why are you not the president? Your deductive reasoning is so on point
They put lettuce on top of the salads don't they?? Maybe they just got confused on if it was a bowl or salad.
Almost 500 views in 4 min. That's impressive.
As a former chipotle employee we used Romain lettuce not iceberg.
Lettuce is totally a food a fat person would look at as healthy. I might be speaking for myself but as a lifter and “healthy” awful fit person, I don’t eat that shit.
Edit: okay maybe tacos. Good call Michelle.
It's just an alternative of water and cheap fiber
I use spinach leaves in place of lettice. Tastes way better.

@@MissCaraMint I prefer arugula or power greens but spinach will do!
The TikTok Girl is lovely, you are lovely, I love how wholesome this video ist. I didn't expect this
This seems like a tall tale. My guess she perceived the next person as judging her and came up with a BS tale.
I think so as well, instead of saying no lettuce at the beginning everyone needed to know about her sensory problems.
