I knew the lithium batteries were smaller and lighter, but I was really surprised at how light it was! Extra weight that I don't need to lose now - having pizza and an extra beer tonight! Ha!
Awesome video Jerry. Looking at those spacers below the battery, do you think if you made a three sided spacer (ie still holds the battery up with one side open) you could use the space below the battery to store a small tool roll perhaps? Seeing as you’re giving up the tool storage to fit the slimline panels 🤷♂️ Love your work.
Great changeover! How has it been since the Li battery installation? I am annoyed with the Int650 battery dying on me if I dont crank it every 2 days. Thank you for the video. 🙂
@RideWithJerry I'll probably do it asap too. Have cleaned and changed all relays to the Panasonic ones already, still no dice. This seems like a good fix to a perennial issue. Thanks!
Hey Jerry thanks for the plug 😊 I saved 8 pounds when I changed my battery . One thing you will notice if when it gets a little colder and your bike as sit for a little while it won't start till battery warms up a little bit turn on the headlight . And the funny thing it gets stronger and stronger the more you try to start till it does, completely opposite from a lead battery. Cheers John K.
I don't expect cold issues where I live, rarely if ever gets below freezing. But, I plan to keep on a battery maintainer. My concern is having a parasitic draw on the battery with accessories I've added to the bike.
@@RideWithJerry Oooh right out there in Nevada ,do you have accessories hooked to you battery? I have a USB port connected to my accessory connector in the headlight but that has no power when bike is off.
Thanks, Li-ion battery upgrade on the winter to-do list!

Not sure how you were able to do this part so easily, having a lot of trouble getting the small bolt to connect
Did this last year, havent looked back, can leave bike for a month and it will start first time, also saved 4.3kg in weight

Good idea, I'll have to look into doing that!
@@RideWithJerry I’ll be very interested to see how you go! Space being such a premium and all.

No issues since switching
