Thanks as always Peter, I'm looking forward to getting stuck into this one, it's a job with no pressure and I can drop onto when I get a spare day, have a great weekend mate 👍
The Trevi Boost showers are good, if I remember rightly they use cold mains supply and gravity hot with a Venturi inside👍 Great video and project Tom 😎
I think that's how they worked, you don't see too many any more but I did convert one to a thermostatic version when I put a combi in once, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Only trevi mains boost does that the rest are normal hot and cold. The trevi boost with mains cold gravity hot won’t work with mains hot you need a conversion kit. Think way to tell is it’s got black screw caps. Don’t quote me on that but though.
Thanks for the support as always Tony, hopefully it should be a good job, it's one of them where I can drop onto when I get a spare day, there's no pressure, have a great weekend mate 👍
Looks like a pretty big project Tom. Definitely need soil sorting first and build everything else around it, as you say it’s one of the most important parts, it’s alright getting water in but once it’s dirty it needs to be out as fast as possible.
I think soils and wastes are the most important part of the job, if you mess them up it takes some sorting after, like you say get them in and build everything in around them, thanks for watching as always mate 👍
Was that not lime in the Hot draw-off Tom ? , can't imagine that putty was internal. Seen limed up outlets many times over the years as water very hard in my area.
It could well have been lime to be honest, the water round here is very hard but that cylinder was particularly full, thanks for watching mate, have a great weekend 👍
As you say, it's a shame so much decent-looking stuff is being chucked away. I seem to recall you salvaging a dishwasher from a previous job, as a present for your mum. Good way of keeping down the cost of Christmas gifts...
She loves that dishwasher, best thing I've ever got her, I will get round to plumbing it in soon, on this job we put all the good stuff in the garage, hopefully a charity will pick it up, I got a van load of games and dvd's, there was even a nintendo wii, I will sort though them all it give them to a charity shop
That looks like a big job coming off there Tom. It will be great if you can film the whole process from start to finish. I’m looking forward to the next episode of this refurb. Have a great weekend and take care. 🍻👍👍👍
Thanks for the support as always Chris, I hopefully should be able to film most of this job, it's a good job because there's no pressure and I can drop onto when I like, have a great weekend mate 👍
hi Tom great orginization just a word to the wise . Me and my mate .Fran were doing a job one day and Fran wore a hoddie with a long string thong just like the one your wearing .. he was drilling a joist with a good bosch driss and the thong wrapped around chuck his head got hopped off the floor and a floor brad put a hole in his forhead and he had his fair pulled out at roots . ugh ll sore . just thought id mention mate . take care Tom . ur magic .man
Thanks for the advise mate, to be honest I never even considered that the strings could get dragged, I don't normally wear hoodies and probably won't one again just for safety reasons, thanks for watching as always
It always amazes how much good stuff gets skipped, we put all the good stuff in the garage, hopefully a charity shop will come and collect it all. Thanks for watching as mate, have a great weekend
