The underpinning idea in poststructuralism for me is meta-discourse. Works that analyse and discuss themselves outside the narrative framework, ie as explicitly devolved from theories.

Mate you're good. But a word of advice: Don't repeat yourself too much, and don't go off-topic. You have good ideas but you spent first 5 minutes repeating one thing 'it is debatable', it could have been said in 5 seconds. Keep up the good work.
to summarize: we created this thing, we dont really know what it is and if you label us as a supporter of it, we'll deny our involvement and its existence. there really is no clear concept of what we created, nor can it really be applied to anything due to that lack of that understanding , but we're gonna teach it to you anyway in university, and will expect you to explain it properly on an exam. failure to explain a concept that is not clearly defined by its own creators will result in deduction of marks. Another beautiful example of why Liberal Arts are a complete waste of money, time, and brain power.
Sadly it is defined as what it is not is what the lecturer is going after. Actually. post structuralism is largely a reiteration of Hegelian anti-thesis though they don't want to admit it.
My past experience has led me to believe that left-leaning social science lecturers don't even understand their own views. Simply ask some of them to define their key concepts and see what happens. They appear to think that their role is to simply obfuscate ideas that are superior to theirs while offering no meaningful alternative.

"Structuring" a lecture about a paradigm of literary and linguistic (and sociological?) thought about literature that challenges the notion of literary structure is difficult? I wonder why. Damn Foucault.
nothing is in fact "post-structural" the only the which is post structural is binary code. postmodernism is never without structure or without form. even with that being said language is not binary enough to describe time and social forces as totalized historicity.
Stop projecting. Getting yourself so worked up you might have a seizure. Just accept the fact that you're a tad slower than the rest of us. It's okay to be different. In this day and age, you have the right to act and sound as dumb as you please.
