No body will beat Nige Preston. The drumming has completely different feel and less tribal. Good drummer though he is and nice version.

Forgive me, but... John Tempesta is not the drummer for this. It doesn't let the song flow... always very hard for a song that is very dynamic.
    sorry, peace CFFC ❤

John has been the drummer for The Cult since 2006. He was the drummer for this show as well. Ian introduced him after the show.

Also, he played all of these songs faithfully to the original recordings, just adding his own style in there. If you listen to The Cult live at the Lyceum from 1984 in which all of these songs were played live back then, John’s playing of them is pretty close to how they sounded back then. I thought he did an outstanding job at this show.

Hello, I know... I've been listening to The Cult since I was nine years old... I'm not saying that JT is bad, I'm just saying that for this type of sound, like Nigel, the Cult never had anyone else. In fact, it's no coincidence that he's Ian's favorite drummer. Perhaps the closest was Mark Brzezicki...
There are themes from this DC2023 show that he made the song flow well, like Moya for example.

@@TheJOliveira2010 Oh yea, definitely agree there. Their drumming from Electric on was never as good as Love and Dreamtime era. I love Mark's drumming on Love.
