Have you ever been unable to find the proper size pillar mold? Or found it but couldn't pay the high price that some suppliers charge? In this video we head to the hardware store and then to the garage to show how you can make your own pillar molds, any size, for a fraction of the price of store bought molds!
All you need is some PVC pipe, a PVC punch-out cap, some PVC cement, and a few tools... and you'll be making 10 molds of your own for the price of one store bought mold!
****For all of your shopping needs, I have taken the time to compile the most complete list of suppliers listed by state. Shopping with suppliers nearest to you can sometimes be a great way to save on shipping!****

Excellent Video! Excuse me for butting in, I would appreciate your thoughts. Have you ever tried - Chireetler Earning Maker Rule (probably on Google)? It is an awesome one of a kind guide for learning how to make candles for fund or profit without the normal expense. Ive heard some interesting things about it and my friend Sam after many years got astronomical results with it.

Just wonderful, I've been looking for "how do you make wax melts smell stronger?" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Ever heard of - Panlijah Inconceivable Position - (do a google search ) ? It is a good one of a kind product for discovering how to become a candle making master and turn a profit without the hard work. Ive heard some amazing things about it and my brother in law got great results with it.

I tried this with small diameter and even with mold release it didn't come out well. Also, scrupulous cleaning may be necessary, because these pipes are often stored on end and dust and grit from the hardware store will get inside. Works well with larger diameter. Another caveat, if you clean out the molds, the PVC will scratch deeper than metal so you have to be careful how you do it.

A silicone based mold release spray will definitely make your life a lot easier. Without it, the candle will still come out of the mold, but it can sometimes be a huge headache! The spray isn't all that expensive and will last quite a while. Here is one I found on Amazon

I do make decent money between my Etsy shop and craft fairs, not enough to retire on just yet lol, but my YoY analytics are getting better and better. Cost cutting gets easier as you grow your business, mainly because you are able to, or at least have the need, to buy your supplies in bulk. Another cost saving tip would be to buy as locally as you can to save on shipping, which can be a killer! But to be honest, when you are first starting out you can definitely hemorrhage money if you're not careful because of all the waste and mistakes that will be made. Which is part of the reason I started this channel, to share the knowledge I've gained and try to help others from making the same mistakes I did.

How did you get the candle out of your mold?

Mold release works wonders! If they are still being pesky, then a few minutes in the fridge should do the trick.

Rookie here! Can you leave the wax in the mold and use the pvc as the vessel? When lit, will that be a problem for the pvc/melt/catch on fire? Thanks in advance.

Me also have problems to get the candle out of the mold. So I appreciate answer how to do that.
I tried to apply oil on the mold before pouring the wax inside. It helped but the surface of the candle was not smooth then (like the oil mixed with the wax).
