Your 9th point doesnt make sense actually. Because if India is really the "only game" then that allows him to make large profits if that game doesn't go well. Also, he is not of those who lets chance or luck decide the faith of the game but instead uses all means possible to get that game fixed or derailed. 1. Soros is against nationalist (in that context there is a hint on the present establishments policies)
2. Highly driven to attain his triod objectives of being against nationalists, supporting NGOs, and profiteering in the process by making a ton of money and establishing his proxies in Govt.
In today's context we don't know who those proxies are..
3. Soros cannot short our currency directly as it's not fully convertible, he is not known to have direct positions in Indian markets, even here he has his proxies..
4. Having got a lot of his bets right in his lifetime and caused immeasurable pain to the impacted masses he seems to derive some fun and make money in these positions,
5. The guy has a split personality or dual personality, he can destablise one govt or group and use the proceeds to fund another, a modern Robin hood in some ways.
6. Very few saw the GFC coming, he called right even if it was in his 3rd attempt. He has a reputation of ruthlessness and can drive change to meet his positions.
7.Going short on Adani and it's backers was a perfect opportunity, Is he the the hand behind the Hindenburg report? Or is he short on India?
8. Don't feel good that this guy is meddling in our countries democracy, but suprised that even at 93 he has a stomach to take on such a big bet.
9. A few of our Industrialists were boasting on India being the only game in town at Davos, his playground. That line of thinking was sold to the world for a month, Soros has come back to expose the chinks in our armour.

The power of Soros an old, rich and opinionated person did trigger an immediate response from our EAM, who is known for his measured responses makes me wonder did the depth of Soros influence and reputation make our EAM go overboard with Ageism, or is he aware of a bigger game at play with elections around the corner..
Time will only tell, but there is ample evidence of this Soros being a tough nut, who seldom gets his calls wrong and that to me is worrisome.

Your 9th point doesnt make sense actually. Because if India is really the "only game" then that allows him to make large profits if that game doesn't go well. Also, he is not of those who lets chance or luck decide the faith of the game but instead uses all means possible to get that game fixed or derailed.
George Soros works on the principle of boom and bust cycle, which means he bets against industries where you see a massive boom and thus he wants to profit of the bust cycles within that industry when all the people are heavily invested in its success.
He is such an unethical guy who could even bet on the failure of covid vaccines or failure of any cancer drugs just so that he could profit of it, again he doesn't leave his bets on chance but uses means to get those things happen. Thus making him dangerous as EAM said.
In all, he wants to control all the emerging economies for his goodself, World is not fool, he may have succeeded in 2008, but not everytime, He and like hims are trying hard to low the indian stock market to enter here silently, because this time indian stock market has been able to stand itself inspite of continuous selling by FIIs.

Stop giving credits of 2008 to him, there are far legendary investors who predicted the 2008 fall far earlier and better than him. He on the other hand was just all around the park, while there were people who precisely knew what was going to happen. Like Michael Burry, Raghuram Rajan, there were few Japanese day traders who again did extremely well and knew what exactly was going to happen.

There seems to be pattern in the things that conspired in last few weeks
1) Bilawal Bhutto's remark on PM Modi as Butcher of Gujrat, followed by BBC documentary " The Modi question"
Pakistan might be a poor country but its deep state is not. Looks like deep state of Pakistan has hired lobby groups or companies to do the job.
2) Heidelberg report on Adani followed by Mr. Sorors salvo on PM Modi. Looks like Mr. Sorors is settling some old scores and trying to short sell as the Heildberg group did.
