To be fair Melee Game and Watch is a real shitshow. His shield doesn't cover his hurtbox at all, he has by far the worst spotdodge in the game (20 vulnerable frames after spot dodge) and is the only character who has aerials that can't be L-canceled. These are speculated to be because he was made in a hurry based on Mario but they didn't have time to fix the problems for him.

Good thing the code is programmed to do nothing when misspelled. I know games with game breaking glitches, and while the first 3 games are a bit broken, is not that bad compared to games like Sonic 2 for genesis.
I feel you're underestimating d-tilt. Sure, it's got lackluster hitboxes and a long ass end lag, but it comes out pretty quick, launches at a very low angle, and has a knockback growth to make it a devastating kill move.

However, if you got someone in shield break or helpless fall they will get out, making it sometimes worse than 1. 7. 4, HAH, you thought this was going to be 3, didn't you? Well 4 is really nothing special at all. 6. 5. It's 4 but actually decent 5. 3. It looks weak on first glance, but it's not bad at all. The reverse launch can throw opponents off, but that is not the main attraction of the attack. It deals a lot of shield damage, potentially stunning opponents even better than down smash if it breaks a shield 4. 6. Unlike 2, 4, and possibly 5, 6 succeeds at it's job of a simple, threatening attack. It hits once, deals a good amount of damage, kos pretty darn well, and moves on. No real gimmicks except for cool fire,but it will excels anyway. 3. 8. Freezing is pretty decent if you're good at making predictions, but lack of knockback makes it just good. 2. 7. Deals good damage, knockback, and heals, it's like a reverse 1! 1: 9 just 9. All the downright terrible, mediocre and just ok hits are made up for by this price of art. Every game and watch player knows the rush of pure bliss and satisfaction when you hear the ring, see the 9 and watch that beautiful hammer gracefully smack down on the opponents helpless hotboxes on the last stock. It's like God himself looking down and telling you, "go ahead, pop off, throw your controller up in celebration, you did it, you won.". Once that 2 dimensional weapon connects with your enemy, you both know that they can't do anything. As you ride off into the sunset like the end of an epic western after shooting the robber in the heart, the TO telling you it was only the first game, you just smile and say under your breath, "gg ez".
Nah 6 is totally the second best, the 12 percent healing of 7 basically doesn’t matter and can often get you punished for it, and 8 is basically useless. The only reason why Lucas has a good freeze is because of its crazy knock back, and Icies use it for combos when they are de synced and with their multi hi utilt 6has good kill power and a disgusting angle

@@timoijas5316 nope the game instead sets the thickness of his model to a really low value and it makes G&W appear to be flat. This is easily testable by looking at him in camera mode. This is also what happens in 2d stages like gameboy dreamland.

Claw White The hilariously stupid thing is there’s characters far more “campy” than her, like Villager, PAC-MAN, Sonic, Snake, etc. And yet they don’t get anywhere NEAR as much hate as her.
Gnws model is actually 3D, there is a rendering effect applied to him to make him look 2D, all of the transformations for his moves are actually 2D tho, there are sm4sh mods to make gnw 3D as well as to make everyone else 2D
Judge-3 does an unholy amount of Shield damage, Like over half the shield. DownTilt is pretty good for getting people off stage, and low to follow up with Forward/down air to kill. Good knockback and low angle
I don’t remember exactly where I learned this, but the reason G&W looks weird sometimes during the hitbox visuals, it’s because in normal game, he’s technically 3D. In camera mode, his model changes into 2d. You can see this effect best by either becoming metal with the metal box, getting inked, or by probably the best option, just land Terry’s final smash on him. It looks really weird. There are probably more ways to do this, but whatever.
It would be interesting would to analyze Pac-Man's hitboxes. Moves that stay out for so long and moves that are absolutely huge (hello down air!). It would also give us some insight on how much better his grab is in this game than in SSB4.

Something to note about bucket though: it has a weak spot from above and a direct hit can negate the bucket...its very difficult to land though due to the reflective properties.

Game and Watch is a glass cannon. Really good moves with some flawed ones. Wouldn't really call him OP like everyone else would, but I would be lying if I didn't say Up-B and Down-Smash weren't scary.
Ftilt is not a tipper sweet spot. It's an early strong and late weak hit. Also there is more intricies to the damage of bucket than the simple 2x multiplier

I just noticed that the battlefield stage background gets darker because the sun is being eclipsed by the moon (at the end of the video). Pretty neat

It's an early strong and late weak hit.
Also there is more intricies to the damage of bucket than the simple 2x multiplier
