    Now here’s the real question
    Did you delete the default cube or is it hidden somewhere

  • @AllExistence
    @AllExistence 3 года назад +1

    It would be less geometry without cubes.

    • @MrSorbias
      @MrSorbias  3 года назад +1

      True, tho it wouldn't anymore be a cube challenge after that. :P The whole landscape with all trees and houses is now only 68k triangles, which still is very small amount, I think.

      @@MrSorbias do not worry friend, it will take a few days to get into it, I just did a little test, but in the 2.79 internal engine, since my computer does not get along with EEVEE and Cycles it would take too long, and ... although it seems something easy, for those of us who are used to using modifiers and strusions continuously in modeling ... it really is a very complicated technique, especially because you have to first have a good palette of materials ready to give each element its color. adequate, not that I don't know how to do it, but .... wow! ... it really does generate a lot more work than modeling in a normal way ... but don't worry ... I'll go for it with a screenshot included

    great challenge and beautiful work, how did you manage to poulate the scene with trees, I didn´t understand that part sorry

      @MrSorbias  3 года назад +1

      Thank you and sorry for not being clear enough. I was using the Blender particle system with hair particles. In the particle render settings you can select which objects the system replace the hairs with: 1. i.imgur.com/GoXKfwD.png 2. i.imgur.com/hjjL9Pa.png

      @@MrSorbiasthanks, but this works well with the cubes as is not an uniform mesh? this dont cause issues?

    • @MrSorbias
      @MrSorbias  3 года назад

      @@Clases3d It works, but not perfectly. Basically I had to create a vertex group of selecting only the top parts of the cubes to be used for the particle system. It still was little messy and later I ended up applying the particle system modifier to have the trees as a single objects that were easy to move around and delete if needed. I still left there quite much of those badly placed trees in the scene, such this one. No one knows that it's there inside the land and it kind of looks like of some sort of a bush or what ever, so I just didn't care.
