Thank you so much for sharing. Your color choice is perfect. For me that's the most difficult part. Choosing the colors. Thanks again, can't wait to see the others!
Man, your paintings are amazing. I'm learning a lot with you, please don't stop these tutorials. I started to do my first painting yesterday and you are inspiring me in every video ;) Waiting to receive my KS Marvel United and learn even more with you. A hug from a big fan :D
Thank you so much, glad you like them and find them helpful! My KS arrived just the other week, so I'm trying to get through the core box while all the new minis are staring at me :P Stay tuned!
I’m learning from watching videos. Could you please elaborate on why you started dark and then added a lighter green on the raised areas instead of starting light and using a wash or something similar to darken the recesses? I like the way yours came out so just wanted to understand the difference in technique. Great job
These recesses aren't deep enough to keep a wash in place. They'd start to run everywhere before they dried, unless you went slowly and carefully. Building up the brightness gives better control, and the gradual color change helps keep the transitions smooth too! I prefer this method for skin and capes.
Your videos are awesome I love watching them but uurgghhh I wanna do highlights but I have no clues about this technique at all. I'm so afraid to mess things up 😅
I’m using Army Painter brushes in these videos. I’d say any cheap synthetic brushes if you’re just starting, size 2 is good for everything. Size 1 if you want to do small details.
Looks great. As a beginner it‘s the first Marvel United mini painting video I could grasp and would like to paint the same way 🙂 Really looking forward to the rest of the minis. Do you by any chance have ordered the Ultimate Pledge from Kickstarter and have plans to paint them all? 🙂
Thanks! I ordered the Infinite Pledge + Sinister Six. I may pick up the other expansions if they go to retail, but I’ll be a few KS Exclusives short of the full set. At my current rate, it will take my about five years! Haha. I’ll probably do my favorites and some requests, and put the rest up as posts on blogspot.
the highlights were amazing

Glad it was helpful! Hulk and Captain America were probably the two I put the most thought into.

Cool looking vid! What brushes do you use, and what size? Thanks. I want to star painting my minis but I have nothing yet. (except the minis)
