This mini is incredible. I started painting 1 month ago, currently doing Marvel United. But I am far from your results, they are awesome. Thanks a lot for sharing !
I noticed that you started highlighting first and then washing to unite everything and bring the colors in line with each other. That small change I have found to be a great one. Easier to correct errors along the way as needed and a more realistic finish. Thank you for sharing and please stay safe.
Very nice result . For the moment i m still waiting for my pledge but i m still asking myself if i m will paint the minies with true metalic. Or non metalic. I know with non metalic it will be longer and harder but more fun to paint.
This came out great! I just got all of my stuff in and having never painted a mini before in my life I am so overwhelmed as to where to even start. This was a nice tutorial. Roughly how long did it take you to complete this? I’ll multiply that by a factor of 10. 😉
Thanks Brett, glad it was helpful. Remember to thin your paints. A couple thin coats is better than one thick coat. A milky consistency is about right. I'd say Ultron and Iron Man are two good choices for where to start. Red Skull was around 4 hours, and I'm a pretty slow painter. Take your time, relax, and enjoy!

Yes, that's a good way to put it. Great tip!
He's holding out his hand like he's trying to summon the Tesseract. XD Someone needs to make an edit with him holding it.
I've seen some people do it with the blue cube that comes with the game, but then you sacrifice your Fear tracker!

My thoughts exactly. I think Non metallic lends itself better to the comic book or cartoony vibe of chibis. But there is definitely a time trade off.
I thought you were going for a OSL effect, but know I'm not sure...wasn't Red Skull's coat black? The red and green look good though
You are absolutely right, it almost always been black. However, the card art for the game has it green, so I kept it simple and matched that color.
@@baseshadehighlight4627 I see; I haven't opened my set as of yet lol

This is incredible. What type of clear-coat do you use?
I protect them with Matte Varnish afterwards. Either Army Painter Anti-Shine Matt Varnish or Liquitex 5216 Matte Varnish
Looks great! What was the total time spent on this model? Just curious.
He was around 3-4 hours, but I am not a speedy painter.
