I think she understands that 1) these people's entire jobs rely on getting a good photo 2) she's a high-value photography subject and 3) that most people probably aren't spending a ton of time standing still for pictures on the red carpet. It was rude for sure, but those photographers don't have the time to check if they got some good shots before the celebrities move on, so I imagine when someone like Taylor Swift is there and her publicist is blocking the shot that their paycheck depends on, they're gonna get a little antsy. Her reaction was incredibly diplomatic and mature, letting them know that they'll have time to get what they need and not slowing down the action by turning it into a big deal. Publicists by nature have very thick skin and their job is to make their clients look good; Taylor having the grace to say, "hey, it's okay, there's no rush," instead of making a defensive comment (that would have been justified, but lord knows a woman can't speak her mind about anything without someone finding a problem with it) probably saved Tree from having to kill some headline about Taylor's "diva attitude" at the Grammy's or whatever.

So many others would have turned this into an argument or just kept walking but Taylor respects that she “at work” and that these people have a job to do as well, so she just let them no not to worry. She is so great at PR. I am a PR Consultant. I am sure she has had people telling her things through the years but this is a seasoned veteran of the red carpet. She knows they want her picture... she gives them what she wants and they respect that which then translates into respect when they also see her out and about not at work and they don’t shout, it’s friendly, Tay walks slow sometimes and turns both ways and then in the car gone. That is how you handle the paparazzi and fans. You set the tone depending on what the reason is for the pictures.
