- Last year we released an episode exploring 10 motorcycles that had either been specially made for the military or were modified for the purpose. We promised a sequel and here it is! 5 More Military Motorcycles for you to cast your eyes over.
If you'd like to see more (trust me, there are way more bikes!) drop a comment below and give the video a thumbs up.

Any suggestions for bikes to feature in a part 3?
Royal Enfield India
Swedish Landsverk-210 (1932).
Fun fact: the Husqvarna company logo is a gunsight.
@@kruti900 Good point! If it wasn't for Royal Enfield's inability to fulfil an Indian military contract by making the motorcycles in UK the brand might not exist today.
How about the Armstrong MT500?
Kawasaki Super Sherpa 250 , I heard they were used in operation desert storm but I'm not 100% sure.
The Military KLR650 is pure madmax motorcycle material, runs on literally everything flammable, can take a beating and goes everywhere.
It IS a little tank. I was hoping they’d mount a MK19 on it, or at least a SAW mount.
I saw an unboxing of a NOS Kawasaki military diesel engine bike last month, blew my mind.
BTW ❤❤❤❤❤❤ this channel!
Really enjoyed that, OYB. Enjoy your historical approach to motorcycles - unique. Keep it up. Thanks.
In 1983 and 84 I owned an old Husqvarnas 250 2 stroke. It was heavy and simple it was a beast with torque and it was very dependable. Just like something the military would need. I was in the Army at Fort Leonardwood Missouri the army trains track and Engineers there. Plenty of dirt tracks to ride for days. Just about the only thing that made being stationed there bearable.
That diesel KLR was unpopular heavy and sucked off road. Probably an upgrade over the KLR 250 we used to have though before it. It was operated by Communication Marines and Maintained by motor transport mechanics. They were phased out for lack of survivability and sold at auction about 10 years ago.
Love that Franz Joseph beard and mustache mate. Very cool 😎
Those Husqvarnas are still in service! I saw a couple of them today infact. I can actually pick one out and use in exercise purposes.
Got to say. Subscribed to this channel ages a go .. its bloody excellent..time to overdose on its episodes. 😋😋
Add a light-colored Stetson ...game changer.
I own a 2016 in digital camo.
Great bike.
Many comment Nice bike!
The reason I subscribed was because of your first military bikes video 😂
A great insight thanks
More please
So KLR650 basically... That zero is neat though.
The great MT500 [by CCM] and the MT350 [By harley davedson] have got to be in there, ive got a 350 which is in reguler use, but not intirely origanal. You are more than welcome to have a go on it, if you want. A frend has the 500 which maybe added to the test, if you can start it.
yes, your right. mt 500 lovely bike, mine starts 3rd kick, most times...
Heck ya 🏍🏍🏍🏍🏍🍺🍺🍺✌️🖖🏼🖖🏼
i miss the KLR 250 use by US Marines several years.
Están buena
The Husqvarna isn’t as bulletproof as the KLR, but lighter and more nimble...which would seem to make it better in combat areas of operation. Neither was used in action enough to know for sure.
Great video with excellent information. I had a civilian 1989 klr650 bought new in October 1990 it was not bulletproof the engine blew up at a little over 10,000 miles and never could do more than 87 mph down hill. Probably the worst bike i ever had. But the husquvarna in the video is incredible. Thanks for the info.
Sounds not that nice
@@deinemudda569 A diesel one might be better because it would have more torque, if the guy was struggling in sand with a diesel 650 then his civvy model would struggle more. Id imagine all they ever do is offroad so 80mph is very fast.
The important thing is whether it can handle the dirt and transmit power well.
Have a look at cagiva t4e, I've a matching pair
Royal Enfield
an electric bike sounds nice for war but on today's' highways you gotta have loudness because people don't see, you so to all drivers be aware. please
