    My 10 year old helped me mount my 22" end locker. He was in charge of the jack. He let it down too fast also but everything worked out lol. He was happy to participate.

    I did my 26,44 and side drawer assembly myself. I found pulling all the drawers out made it so much easier to complete the tasks... Didn't click off nor fast forward nice setup . Enjoyed the vid... being staged gets boring like a lot of cut up modded vids people undo the errors and mistakes they make. keeping it real makes the videos better..

    Nice setup. I recently bought a 56 inch roller and would have more use for a top hutch.. id like to add the 15 inch side box and see if a 72 inch hutch would fit on top. I figure with a 1/2 plywood spacer i could bolt the top on securely. Any thoughts?

    • @DemoDad101
      @DemoDad101  7 месяцев назад

      The hutch (or top chest) doesn’t bolt to the box. It just rests on top. But yeah, that will probably work well.

  • @jayer-su3hu
    @jayer-su3hu 6 месяцев назад

    I have the 56" box with the hutch, the end locker and this drawer unit. And you quickly realize how easy it is to run out of room lol. But so far its been a good box. We'll see

  • @CarRimRod

    whats crazy is you can buy the 56 USG series 3 box and the 27inch and they bolt together giving you 83 inches and ITS STILL CHEAPER than the 73. Its so stupid

    • @DemoDad101
      @DemoDad101  Год назад +1

      They don’t really bolt together. They are different heights. You would need to make a spacer for the wheels. Then, you would only be able to bolt the bottoms together. The top holes on both sides are threaded for the handle. The 42 and 27 are the same height. The 72 and the 56 are the same height. Not sure why they designed them this way.

    • @CarRimRod
      @CarRimRod Год назад +1

      @@DemoDad101 i know the difference in height is the casters, thats easily solved by ordering casters for the 56 and putting them on the 27. You can also remove the drawers and drill holes for bolts on the top of the two boxes to make up for the lack of pre drilled holes for bolting the box together. I get its not completely practical but for most people who are looking at purchasing these they are probably all capable of doing it.

    • @mjpermin

      Currently the pricing on the bottom 56" chest is literally half of the 72" so you could buy two 56" bottoms, and one top chest for less than a 72" single bottom and top.
      OR, for only $100 more than a full 72" set, you could get two 56" bottoms, one 56" top chest, and one 56" hutch 😂

    Be really careful with the end box. As you know its held on by the lip and gravity. My old Craftsman box has one of those on each end. I was loading it on a trailer and when it came down the ramp of the trailer the end cabinet hit the ground lifting it off the end of the big box. It fell off landing on its back, then that end was now light, it came off the ground and the other end cabinet went down. That lifted the other end box off and it fell off landing face first. That caused the big box to end up on the caster end wheels, it rolled back on the caster wheels and it ended up on its back on the trailer ramp.
    Of course I was in the middle of a move to Ohio for the USAF. It was in the middle of winter the ground was covered in ice and snow and I was by myself and with three toolboxes that were full of tools laying scattered on the ground and trailer door.
    It was a three stooges moment in time.
    I just bought the exact same setup in Chevy orange, its being delivered on the 28th of January.

    This would have been a lot easier if you removed the drawers. I got my 56" roller cart home the other day and bumped my head on the wall for a couple hours about how I was gonna get it off my pick up truck till I watched a youtube video where he took the drawers out and cut the weight in half more or less.

  • @noidea1962
    @noidea1962 Год назад

    Couple minutes in, so maybe you explain this later...but in the last video of yours I watched, you talked about getting a 42" instead of the smaller end cabinets, and how that would make more sense. Can you explain your mind change? I thought that was actually brilliant, so I don't understand why you went this way.

    • @DemoDad101
      @DemoDad101  Год назад +1

      I didn't go that route because I discovered that the 42" uses smaller casters. That means it wouldn't be on the same height level and it would look goofy. I really only needed the end cabinet. If the casters were the same on the 42"...I would have went that route for sure. Perhaps you can order the 56" caster set and put them on the 42" and bring the height up.

    • @noidea1962
      @noidea1962 Год назад

      @@DemoDad101 I see. Well, I started with what turned out to be a 'series 1' 42" bottom and top my Father bought me some years ago. Earlier this year I decided to buy a locker...but it was incompatible with the series 1...so bought a series 2 54", put the old top on it, then put the drawers on the end, and the locker on the other end. Now I have a newer bottom, with an old, smaller top, but room to put a small compressor on, so it turned out real well. Then, bought another 54" series 2 when they were selling them cheap....soooo many toolboxes.....lol
