Fantastic show. It is sad that we are able to afford this pleasure while still begging to help the poor in Australia. I do not believe Australia is that poor!!!
There is a big increase in beggars (and music buskers for that matter) around Sydney CBD when there is an increase in tourists. I guess their looking for some extra cash - the government pays unemployment benefits to cover basic food and accommodation expenses.
I believe there is a huge return on investment in that a hell of a lot of tourists visit Sydney in the lead up to New Years, spending lots of cash which goes back into the economy.

It was just the Bridge Effect for the night. The biggest Bridge Effect since "Eternity" back in 2000 and one of my favourites.
