Hey apologies the music is loud at the start of the gameplay segment I had some copyright issues with music I have licenses for so I used the RUclips tool to just replace the music at the start.
Could we have a new series called “Why did you use?” Covering old weapons and frames that were meta. I think it would be interesting due to you being a long time player and would be cool to see why they were used and why they aren’t used anymore.
The problem with this would be the lack of video to go along with it since he (obviously) can't capture footage of what used to be possible. It would just end up being a monologue where Brozime reminisces about the good/bad old days.
I agree with the fact that yeah he doesn’t have the old footage to compliment it but just to show the old build, explain why it was the build, what the point of the weapon was at the time and maybe what it’s replacement is currently? I don’t think it has to be on par with his WWYU vids where he shows off the effectiveness of the build in steel path unless the weapon is good enough to do so with a niche build.
@@Prophes0r Typically speaking, most things that actually got worse only got worse relative to new things being introduced that displaced them and then steel path coming out to actually force people off of them, so footage of it isn't actually a problem. I think Maiming Strike and Covert Lethality are the only two things that used to be good but basically do nothing now.

I'm so glad that you're making an updated build video series. I just recently got back into the game after about one or two years of being gone. So much has changed. I have no idea what Steel Path even is. But I remember your videos being very informative and generally agreeing with a lot of your opinions and reasoning. I'm really happy to return to a trusted source of information to tackle the new things the game has to offer. Thank you for your work!
Great video, and as a Savage silence ash lover myself I didn't even know about the slide while activating mechanic. However, the ash build seems like it could use just one change. Over 100% efficiency is NOT needed on ash. You get back the energy you spent to bladestorm enemies when they die, and with this build, and mine, they die instantly, so while I cast a wide net of targets, while they die, my energy is rapidly being replenished. Drop fleeting expertise. You'll lose nothing really on the energy economy end, but you'll gain 60% duration, not needed for smokescreen, but helps not have to cast silence as often, which compliments your energy needs. In its place use Rising Storm. I understand that you get combo count chance with all those other sources, but rising storm alone with that much power strength gives you more than all those other sources combined. Around 10 per kill if I recall. Along with that is the additional +10s combo duration. It just seems silly to leave out that augment when you go so far to build a stat stick to do what one Warframe mod can help achieve. But the stat stick is great. Again, love the build and video, just the only change that will make it a 9/10 to a 10/10 build is swapping fleeting for rising storm.
To add onto this, he went over the arcanes but not exodia brave. I tend to forget it too, but its also a very good way to get energy, youre invis anyway, got a big pool of energy. So much efficiency is really wasted here as you pointed out already
@@ElderYama your melee weapon doesn't really matter. Rising storm + high strength maxes out your combo to 12x insanely fast, run dex arcanes on your guns if you want more combo. I mean your melee could run drifting contact or something, but the only real *required* mod for your melee is +50% attack speed. And not conditional attack speed, some combo of quickening and gladiator vice or fury, OR JUST primed fury. The attack speed boosting your clones kill speed is literally required to make the killing rotations good enough. Other than that you can use whatever. Although I personally usually run a glaive prime most often, either that or a 12x combo slash weapon like gunsen or preados or a nikana etc
@@AlvinEarthworm You give your clone a boom weapon, finish objective fly away and if you’re not a retard you won’t die. He makes a mundane gameplay loop less mundane that’s it.

@@dahabs123 Actually you still 1 tap in steel path. If we're talking non-steel path it's even more ridiculous. For those watching after AoZ update, the innodem is by far the new best melee weapon for Ash. You'll lose out on the arcane, but gain the following. Evo 2: your choice Evo 3: 60% finisher damage Evo 4: 20 combo on finisher Evo 5: On finisher, stun aware enemies in a 10m radius, OR collecting ammo provides 5 melee combo counter
I run a similar build to this however i do run a different melee, I run a ranks dark dagger that goes, blast, corrosive, radiation, it lost has both sacrificial mods, covert lethality, and lastly healing return. So the danger can give energy, oversheilds, health and take on most enemies. Cant. Wait for cross play…
Teleport has always been my favorite melee Ash ability. In solo or decently coordinated co-op, I basically zip to an enemy, anomaly if it's a group, leave behind a lethal slash proc or two and move on. I think Seeking Shuriken is cool for focused dps vs. like an acolyte, but the rest of his kit is where the high scaling kps comes from. I wish the strip wasn't an augment, I feel just needing to build str for 100% should be enough, no practical point to the ability otherwise. Then the ability would 100% have my approval as the occasional answer to a tank, it's expensive and slow to spam, but otherwise great speed and economy. Ohh, this is vulnerable to crossfire though, need good rolling guard movement.
Stripping definitely should be a standard feature of the shuriken. Without stripping it is a completely useless ability. Augments should change abilities, not be band aids to fix useless abilities.
@@innocentiuslacrim2290 Yep Ash is definitely not the only case like this... It'd be amazing if they move on to focusing on this after most general frame reworks are done, then maybe change up some weapons so they have niches over the weapons that pretty much powercrept them, still quite some statuses that are really hard to make an argument for as well.
I'd like to know this too. Even back when Covert Lethality guaranteed a kill on a Finisher, Teleport was way too slow for combat use with the forced finisher anim. I ended up only ever using it to bypass laser grids or other alarms during spy missions.
I wonder if the Helminth system can make Frost...better...or at least more fun. God I wish I could just do half the fun stuff new and updated frames can do.

So will this be along side the roster review in the sense where you'll just link back to these in the roster review? Like a "here's ash. he's sitting at an A. He can do a lot of content will some fun helminth builds, check out this video for more." kind of thing?
1. I see what you did there with that first music track Mr. Clever Guy... 2. It would probably be worth doing 2x builds for some (Most? All?) Frames. The vast majority of players don't have every frame. Or Helminth. So "I don't use X for" is less valid than "X can be used for". I know your Free 2 Play series shows a lot of shortcuts to power, but these videos might be someone's first encounter with your content, and it could be very helpful for lower MR players who have only a handful of frames(or frame slots) to understand that X frame can be useful for Y utility. 3. Ash Specific Q: Do syndicate procs interact with Ash [4] finishers? If so, the Energy Restoring weapons, or mods if it only works with melee, could be super useful for people without a full Arcane Energize.
It's really good as a dps maxer, I wish it wasn't an augment so it's less of a waste to have access to in normal missions though. His slash enhancing passive is kinda the nail in the coffin for it's uses besides like bosses/very high level demolysts etc. If it was a freebie I'd throw it at every tanky enemy, it's very cheap and fast if you use it selectively.
would relentless combination work for the stat stick? cause 100% chance to increase the melee combo counter on slash proc with an ability that has guaranteed slash procs seems like it'd be pretty good
I’m an ash main and I’d say take off stretch teleport goes the distance without it so you have a free mod slot but the build is similar to mine just weaker and I would see how difficult to use this build you have in steel path I use a zaw with the dykiu and the hykau
How does Savage Silence compare to the Smoke Screen crit buff? For this build at least. Since being invis has advantages for the ult, and you want to use it anyway...I was thinking then I could subsume something else instead of silence.
Why do you need so much energy economy when Bladestorm refunds all the energy if it kills enemy before the third attack (which is all the time with savage silence)?
They've still yet to fix the jank that happens when you teleport to an enemy that's in *ANY* animation or just climbing a ledge. Even without that it at times refuses to attack for you given you use the augment if there's even a bit of an elevation going..
if they changed ash's blade storm to activate the moment an enemy is marked i'd play him sooooo much, i hate marking then killing enemies with any ability
Haha, was just commenting about this build about a week ago Altho i run less efficiency in exchange for Rising Storm which allows glaives to reach a second level of ridiculousness
Have you tested a variant that benefits from high combo counter using Venka Prime as "stat stick"? Would be curious to see how that variant fares against this one
being that i dont play the game anymore i dont care if things get nerfed when you get to mag im more than sure you are aware that beach surge is completely busted on mag however i dont think people know that breach surge can prock arcane rage. with how close proximity they all are you have a 100% uptime on rage and with the new mods this is kinda busted. breach surge does not proc dead hunt and most of the time the enemies die from mags bubble so its more diffecult to use the weapon arcanes. you still get enough kills with direct impact on lower tier stuff for it to be relevant. effectively you could run rage and merciless for an absurd dmg and runn all elemental/functional mods. tbh though in most content it is not needed mag is already busted but its an extra busted option.
It has always been that way. It has something to do with the way that finisher animations are chosen from the available pool, based on the current animation. If you slide into any finisher animation you limit the pool to a specific pool, even in other circumstances.
Not sure why, but even after copying your build 100% (except prime sure footed, but that's not relevant) but my Bladestorm does nowhere near enough damage you do. I test against level 135s and without silence they don't die from the Bladestorm, but they do die after bleeding for a while afterwards. With Silence active they die, but not from one hit. All three hits are necessary. I don't understand the difference, do you have any ideas what could be causing it? Combo counter maybe?
After doing a few tests, Yes! It is because off the lack of combo counters, Blade Storm gains 25% additional damage for each combo multiplier, up to a 3.75x damage multiplier at 12x combo, or 4.0x with Venka Prime equipped at 13x combo, if you btw want to make it a bit easier to not only get them up and running faster but also to keep them for longer, look into replacing the Streamline mod with his Rising Storm augment.
@@gratefulguardian7407 Yeah I noticed this after doing more testing. I have been running this in Steel Path now, and I absolutely love it! Might give Rising Storm a go, thanks for the suggestion!
Yes. Most people run Silence though because anything that comes in its radius after it is activated will still be effected where as Radial Blind has to be recast on new enemies.
Hey, since I believe u might do a roaster review for this year, I was thinking maybe u can grade warframes twice, base frame/helminth frame. I think this is cool cause some frames go from C to A and that's a huge difference e.e
i love that you're going over older frame builds to update them. but the cat constantly making noises is kinda distracting for me (watching with a headset).
been loving this build since it came out but I seem to have noticed that recently, its been more difficult activating Arcane Trickery. Anyone else here noticed this? Or am I just imagining things (or perhaps just extremely unlucky)
No matter how much damage ppl put on him, no matter how much ppl use helminth on him, no matter how many stupid ppl say "he`s perfect" despite you needing fatal teleport to even make the ability work consistently, it won`t fix the amount of issues he has. He needs a revisit not a rework, not QOL A REVISIT stats and ppls actions proves it.
much as id love the "no-activation for ash on 4" idea you gotta admit DE is trying REAL hard to not just insert "look at enemy and they die" mechanics, yea? cuz the way 4 works now is you turn it on, look around, turn it off, things just happen. now change that to "turn on 4, look around, stuff doesnt stop dying until you stop lookin" and we're basically changing to an entirely different game altogether. at least with ignis wraith you have to hold a button down the entire time or pause to reload. 😅

Looking forward to Oberon. Also this build is so much better than mine I’m gonna yoink some ideas
So will this be along side the roster review in the sense where you'll just link back to these in the roster review?
Like a "here's ash. he's sitting at an A. He can do a lot of content will some fun helminth builds, check out this video for more." kind of thing?
Will a Riven with +Finisher Damage affect the damage of his bladestorm?
I use ash 1 with augment for grineer bosses. Works amazing
@@Gnurklesquimp same
Hey Brozime what Archon shards would you recommend on this build for Ash?
would relentless combination work for the stat stick? cause 100% chance to increase the melee combo counter on slash proc with an ability that has guaranteed slash procs seems like it'd be pretty good
Sadly relentless doesn't work with it
excellent just what i was waiting on lol
Slide leads to spin, perhaps that is why the animation is slightly quicker 🤔
I’m an ash main and I’d say take off stretch teleport goes the distance without it so you have a free mod slot but the build is similar to mine just weaker and I would see how difficult to use this build you have in steel path I use a zaw with the dykiu and the hykau
Gotta love the chill music playing in the background while ash is committing mass genocide. True super villain status :D
2022 tier list when?
I'm doing decent damage but not nearly as much as you I don't know what I'm doing wrong? Should I be using the same melee weapon as you or something?
I replaced the shuriken with Marked for Dead. It does the job well.
I take it + X% finisher damage on melee mods doesn't affect Ash's 4 still.
A cool build, thank you! Also could someone tell me what his ephemera is? Doesn't look like smoking body to me.
I think its vengeful toxin
if they changed ash's blade storm to activate the moment an enemy is marked i'd play him sooooo much, i hate marking then killing enemies with any ability
When’s the 2021 roster review coming?
Use Madurai Focus for more damage, or Naramon to make combo counter even more forgiving! Unless they don't apply idk
I use Naramon. You don’t really need the extra damage but being able to keep your combo counter will allow you to hold onto that initial damage.
Can you make a video on the best way to get arcanes? Still confused and the grind seems a lot
Haha, was just commenting about this build about a week ago
Altho i run less efficiency in exchange for Rising Storm which allows glaives to reach a second level of ridiculousness
Maybe i just suck at doing damage but i actually really like armor stripping
This was my 1st helminth
Have you tested a variant that benefits from high combo counter using Venka Prime as "stat stick"? Would be curious to see how that variant fares against this one
do u have to use a zaw or can you use a nikana prime will it still be the same ?
Waiting for that 2022 warframe tierlist now
being that i dont play the game anymore i dont care if things get nerfed when you get to mag im more than sure you are aware that beach surge is completely busted on mag however i dont think people know that breach surge can prock arcane rage. with how close proximity they all are you have a 100% uptime on rage and with the new mods this is kinda busted. breach surge does not proc dead hunt and most of the time the enemies die from mags bubble so its more diffecult to use the weapon arcanes. you still get enough kills with direct impact on lower tier stuff for it to be relevant. effectively you could run rage and merciless for an absurd dmg and runn all elemental/functional mods. tbh though in most content it is not needed mag is already busted but its an extra busted option.
the slide speed boost for finishers better be a hidden mechanic and not an oversight from DE
It has always been that way. It has something to do with the way that finisher animations are chosen from the available pool, based on the current animation.
If you slide into any finisher animation you limit the pool to a specific pool, even in other circumstances.
Savage ash does big meme damage easily 150k slash ticks in steel path
Would the innodem incarnon dagger be good? Ty
Do I still augment ash with duration archon shards with this build or go for full ability strength shards?
Que onda la vida? comienza con 150 heal y va aumentando? no entiendo eso
you try Arcane Ultimatum in build ?
Does finishing touch work with this?
Welcome to the party Brozime, took you a while to figure out Silence on Ash :D Also Ash Ult benefits from Finisher bonuses on Rivens.
Sir, we don't speak of those things in polite conversation.
I only know about things I've made a video about? This build is old it's just an up to date video for him
Do we need arcane energized?
I'm here being excal fan boy using the second skill subsumed ability that can go up to 500%(on my build) forgot banshee exist and it does more XD
What’s your Zaw?
Does this build work on demolishers?
how many strenght need to strips armor using no 1?
I went with Excalibur blind augment. does that also work just like the savage silence augment for ash?
Yes. Most people run Silence though because anything that comes in its radius after it is activated will still be effected where as Radial Blind has to be recast on new enemies.
"you dont need this" me, getting it anyway
I know your forge a jaw
What a link?grip?strike?
Answer plz
I've got almost the same setup but it seems like I'm only maybe 10-30% of the same damage, no idea what I'm doing wrong
Hey, since I believe u might do a roaster review for this year, I was thinking maybe u can grade warframes twice, base frame/helminth frame. I think this is cool cause some frames go from C to A and that's a huge difference e.e
Did ash get his ultimate animation back
Why not use umbra sword for extra invisible
i love that you're going over older frame builds to update them. but the cat constantly making noises is kinda distracting for me (watching with a headset).
What’s easier to get, regular ash or ash prime?
Prime
been loving this build since it came out but I seem to have noticed that recently, its been more difficult activating Arcane Trickery. Anyone else here noticed this? Or am I just imagining things (or perhaps just extremely unlucky)
It feels like it hardly procs ive been wondering If I should get another one
“Defection” Brozime’s thoughts: “Oh shit now they know I actually like defection… fuck fuck fuck.”
Anyone else play from release and still not have any idea what you are doing?
Does he kick the new exam is tho?
Anyone able to help and know what ephemera that is? Looks great
