The floating shelves came out really pretty! I would personally do curtains over the shades in your living room. I think that they would highlight how tall your walls are while also adding to the feeling of the room being bright and airy especially if you go with a lighter color. I also like the textured woven burgundy pillow with the pumpkin pillow that you are borrowing from your mother-in-law. I think it provides more texture to the room and since you already have an image on the pumpkin pillow, I don’t think that you necessarily need more imagery in the pillows by having the leaf pattern ones instead. I have shades and curtains. You can buy curtain rods that have long supports that way the curtains aren’t too snug. I like it and think it feels cozy but if you had to choose between the two, I would go with the shades.
I would do curtains. I only do curtains because of allergies and I hate cleaning blinds. We have room darkening curtains in the bedrooms. If I lived in the middle of nowhere I wouldn’t even have curtains.
You could decorate anyway and I swear it would be so cozy and homey! You can't go wrong it's just your niche! Love the way it turned out! ❤❤
