Glad to have him back..its like that big hole we had missing in our mid is gone . Such an overlooked defensive midfielder his tackle success rate and distribution rate cant be ignored by those that know the game.
He was the best Defensive midfielder in the prem last season before he got injured, and the season before that too. Stats back it up. Even Yaya Toure came out and said how great he was when he played against him. Not many players give Toure a hard time. Says a lot.
Apparently he confessed to Rodgers that he had been in tears in the dressing room after being booed off in his first few years at Liverpool, and that makes me sad. To see the change he has gone through to become the player and fan favourite he is today shows his real mental strength. I think he is the most likely to take the captaincy from Gerrard, and I think he fully deserves it. The fans love him, and all the players look up to him (Jordan Henderson for one, I'm just saying).
and don't forget borini as well who just signed. Reina is a good goalkeeper as well so we have a solid team to build around. But we must realize that gerrard is coming near to the end of his career. the past 3 years we have seen him start to wind down a bit. i think we can still get maybe 2 more years of solid performances from him. Now we need to focus on our younger players breaking into the first team if we are serious about contending for the league as well as european competition

In my opinion we will make a strong push not only for champions league but also a top 3 finish. In all honesty if you look at our players there aren't many teams who can say theirs are better. Gerrard, lucas, suarez, agger, aquilani(assuming he stays), joe cole, enrique(solid), glen johnson(decent), skrytl( he is a solid player not yet world class

jurgen klopp took 3 years. juventus is full of veterans 27 and over. barca was already on the cusp of breaking out. liverpool is a weak team right now. you can't honestly believe they could shoot to top 3 in a few months. give him time. even Sacchi was almost fired before AC Milan became world beaters.
AVB hasn't one the campions league... How can you mention Gallas as one of tottenhams good players if he only gets games when Kaboul or dawson are injured, even caulker is better than him Or Lloris.. He's second choice keeper Or defoe? Suarez is way better than him and there is a huge differance between being proven in Portugal than being proven in England... Inheriting the best squad in the country and making them win the league shows your a good manager not an amazing manager...
