This may be our 3rd tour, but we never get tired of your beautiful, beautiful home! Alice, you are such a neat and talented person.
That’s right!!
Alice, everything you do is done tastefully!
Totally true!
I never tire of Alice’s beautiful, primitive home 🎄🎅🏼🧑🏼🎄
I don’t either!
I feel like I’m in a different century! I enjoyed everything in your home. Alice you have a way of making everything so interesting and love how you have everything decorated. I could spend hours looking around.
It’s so beautiful isn’t it?
Alice has such a beautiful house! However, she said that we've had Christmas for 250 years and, in fact, it's a very Victorian idea. The Christmas tree didn't become a trend until after she and Prince Albert put one up at the castle for their children. And don't forget that the Puritans didn't allow Christmas, an idea that stuck around New England until the second quarter of the 1800s. Easter was always a much more important holiday than Christmas. Anyway, thanks for the great video!
Alice and I talked about all that but maybe that’s not on the videoz
You're exactly right - I didn't add up the years incorrectly!! Good catch - I did know the story of Queen Victoria and her family around the tree and that was one of the things I wanted to mention as well but forgot - yes Christmas started in the US in the late 1800's
Always like visiting Alice. I learn so much from her.
Me too!!
Always tickled to go to Alice's house!,her primitive antiques take my breath away. And Alice looked gorgous too! Merry Christmas to both of you.

ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS HOME!😊😊😊😊😊
It sure is!
Evening, Anne...
I'm looking forward to this for my bedtime "Story."
I'll be snug up in my ol' four-poster with these Tabby brothers & yes, it's been snowing here, all day.
Your home always brings to mind our family home where I grew up in on the coast of Maine. Was originally a tavern, too - circa 1754.
One of the most interesting artifacts we found during some restorations was a small, dried-up leather child's shoe. Was behind a north wall. Since, I've learned that this was not an uncommon practice - especially in Colonial New England. Something about superstitions or to "Ward off" evil sprits?
Happy holidays to you & Tom, and your extended family here...
Hi Dave! Oh wow what a treasure! Yes I often wonder if we have a shoe in our wall. Best to not remove it and stir up the ghosts haha! The snow sounds wonderful (this time of year). Enjoy the video and thanks for checking in!! Anne
Thank you Anne and Alice for the tour and the history lesson along the way! Your house is just so stunning, Alice! Love, love, love your horses! Keep on keepin' on!
You’re welcome Doris!

The hat boxes were the first thing I noticed in the room and I didn’t even know what they were. Very pretty
Oh wow! Yes her collection is growing!
Not only do I appreciate and love Alice’s home but I so appreciate her knowledge! Anne I learn so much from your channel! I love it, I’m never to old to learn! Thank you and Alice for allowing us into her beautiful home! Merry Christmas to both of you!

Hello Netherlands!! ❤️❤️
Thankyou Anne for bringing this to us to enjoy. Alice - appreciate how you give us the history of things & your home looks terrific. I too - try to bring abit of christmas into every room of our home.
I love how she gives us the history! So interesting!
Bravo Alice!! Still looking for you every time we go antiquing. You just might pop up somewhere!😂❤
Lol
Since watching this vlog, I have always found her home absolutely beautiful! Always a special treat to myself to get a cup of tea and something to eat and enjoy. My special treat! Thank you, such a joy!
This is my first year seeing your beautiful home ! Love every single thing about it! Thank you for sharing your home with us! 🎄🎄
Glad you enjoyed it! Check out the slow tour set to music in the next video - gorgeous!
Just absolutely stunning Alice!
I love having all the history information too. The large feather tree is so beautiful. I’ve never seen one that tall in my life. Ohhhh the envy…lol.
Alice researches everything when she shares with us - she does a lot of prep work for the videos.
@@AnneClay Well, it certainly shows the work she puts into the videos. In all my years, I never ever knew the story of the poinsettia. Or that German immigrants brought feather trees with them. I find that so interesting!! I would love more videos of Alice’s research.
@@RN-mn3jn we have a entire series called “Ask Alice” on the channel where she takes us through all her antiques and explains things. There’s a playlist with that title.
@@AnneClay Oh thank you. I will check that out.🎄
Hi Anne and Alice 🙋♀️ Enjoyed the Christmas home tour 🎄🦌☃️🎅🤶💖So beautiful 💖😊

Always love visiting Alice's home. Love the history behind the pieces etc. Happy Holidays!!
Happy Holidays!
Love you Alice and Anne. This was great to follow along as I put finishing touches on Christmas ornaments for my own tree.🌲
So glad you enjoyed it!
Beautiful as always! I have a "thing" for feathers trees too. I purchased 2 this year. I think its because they are so simple. Thank you for another great video Anne and Alice!❤💚❤💚
It’s our pleasure!!
Thank you Anne and Alice for the tour and the history lesson along the way. Your home is stunning as always, Alice! I love, love, love your horses! Keep on keepin' on!
Thank you Doris!
Loved this tour and loved Alice’s narration. Transforms you to an earlier time and fills you with the spirit of Christmas. Thank you for sharing your home. (Thank you for the inspiration as now I’ll be tweaking my Xmas decor!)
Glad you enjoyed it! Today I’m putting out the home set to music… very detailed slow look at all her collections.
Alice, your home is lovely. I love that your decorations aren’t overwhelming. Merry Christmas!
Always beautiful.
Oh Alice!! Your my absolute all time favorite!!!!!!! U could make an antique outhouse look fabulous..
Merry Christmas 🎄🎄🎄🎁🎁🎁♥️♥️♥️
lol she could it's true!
@@AnneClay yes absolutely an have a history story to tell about it too.. 😆
Alice, OMG..that feather tree is over the moon fantastic! I have looked for one (in my price range) for years. I've come to the conclusion that I'm just going to have to bite the bullet and pay up if I get one. As always your home is a treat for the eyes. Merry Christmas!
So true. She’s amazing!
Your home is so beautiful Alice! I just love hearing how excited you get talking about adding your Christmas touch with your existing antiques.❤ Thanks Anne for bringing us another great video. Christmas Blessings. 🎄
Thank you Brenda. You too!
I wish you could show me her tables!!! I am a table fanatic and her tables are beutiful!!! Specially the one with the mustard yellow chairs ❤ off course I haven't really seen the whole thing yet 😁
I have a ton of videos on the channel under the “ask Alice” playlist where we went through her home and antiques in complete detail… chairs, tables etc. I’m a table fanatic too!
I NEVER EVER GET TIRED of visiting with Alice and seeing all her beautiful things. She gives me so many ideas and I so enjoy seeing how her house is decorated WITH her primitive antiques rather than just removing stuff and replacing with Christmas decorations. Thank you again Anne for taking us on another Alice visit and thank you Alice for having us in your home. Merry Christmas!
You’re welcome Deanna. Merry Christmas!
Love it all! Thank you for the tour again! Merry Christmas! 🎅
Glad you enjoyed it!
Alice your home is so inspirational. I have been very sick from covid the past 4 weeks so needless to say I have not had my husband bring down ANY of our Christmas decor this year. I had ordered a couple new greens from a heritage auction and that is it this year! Talk about simple Luckily I leave up a couple small pencil trees all year so they are our tree this year.
So beautiful and welcoming and warm!! By the way, your greens are fantastic! Merry Christmas from Wisconsin.
Merry Christmas Jackie!
I loved the tour. Such a big house! My favorite tree was that magical pink feather one. I wanted a piece of that delicious cake! 😊 What flavor was it?
Seasons Greetings to all! 🕊⛄🎅
Oh that cake…. Gingerbread which is my absolute favorite!!! It was delicious!!!
@@AnneClay Yum! Of course Gingerbread. Perfect!👍
Question for Alice: Did you put the panels on your refrigerator or did it come like that?
Gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous. Such attention to detail. Love it all. Merry Christmas to All!
They had that built for them.
Beautiful 😍
Totally!
Beautiful home! Thank you for sharing your home with us this season. I truly enjoyed the tour and the wonderful music from Leroy. Merry Christmas!
Now that all the talking is done could we get a video of the rooms just observing and enjoying the decorations.
That’s the next video. I have to edit it yet.
Anne, please go back to the other mic you had so we can hear the chatter between you and Alice. We love all the laughter when you two are together. Makes us feel like we are there too.
I’m waiting for the company to release the other mic. This camera weighs less than a pound so it’s easier on my neck when I’m filming. Hopefully we’ll be able to chat again by the next time! To tell you the truth, it kills me not to talk!
@AnneClay 😊 Thanks for letting us know and thank you so much for all your hard work and the great videos you give us.
You’re welcome!
Did she have like a porch off her kitchen? It looked decorated very nicely as well
Yes she has a gorgeous porch! I filmed it in the next music only video!
Poinsettia are originally from Mexico, and we call them "Nochebuena"
I love that! Thank you sharing!!
Is that like nice night?
Beautiful country decor! Coca-Cola invented the commercial Santa and replaced father Christmas.....
That’s interesting too! Wow.. it’s commercialization that brought in the big happy guy!
Fab
Beautiful home! What color are her walls?
I just like you guys talking.. No music
I’m not talking in this one because I used a different camera and only have one microphone.
❤🎄😍☃️🫶🎁🙏♥️
Alice where is your store
She has a booth in Bernat Antiques and Primitive Goods
Get closer can’t see them too much talking
That’s because this was a talking video. There is another video of her home that is 50 minutes of getting closer and no talking.
