Wow! The white watercolor stick is phenomenal! Way more opaque than white watercolor from a tube. It resembles gouache more than watercolor imo. On the list it goes.

Thanks for the tips. I bought a couple of them in their more expensive paints to try to save a little bit of money. I cut a little piece off and put it in a half pan and use it like that. I have also used it just the way it is. These are super helpful ans fun but my issue is trying to cut them or break them because they have that weird texture and are hard bit sticky and softall at the same time. They are super pigmented and am glad I brought them and are unique. Have a great day

Thank you Danielle! Yes I noticed they're soft and hard at once to cut, I imagine one of thise sharp large kitchen knives would help with a cleaner cut. Have a nice Sunday !

I'm a total newbie to watercolor and saw your recent watercolor stick hack video and was wowed! Then I went online and ordered a few sticks! Ha! See there...look at the influence you are having on others! Even though I am still in the beginning and experimental stages of watercolors, watching you and learning from your tips and techniques is a super fun part of the journey! Santa, if you are listening, I want a white Daniel Smith stick! ~Thank you, thank you! You have such a nice manner about you and I just love your creations!

I learned about using the titanium white stick from Danielle Donaldson class a few years ago, and found it's much easier to get natural looking highlights with the bonus of being able to paint over if needed. Also, while I don't enter my paintings in juried watercolor shows, it is nice to know that my paintings are all watercolor and I don't have to call them mixed media because of using another medium like ink or gouache. Thanks so much, I'm loving your tips, am learning so much from your channel! 💡💡💡

Gouache is just dense, opaque watercolor.

Toning with white is dicey as it can take weeks for the white to stop migrating through your other colors. And it generally looks chalky. Better to lift and scrape if you can get away with it.

I ordered this from Amazon and they sent me a tube! In the description it says both tube and stick, the picture was the tube.

Your long video is good but please don't make shorts if they are useless, there are people out there that actually put work for shorts. Sorry for the harsh criticism

Thank you, I stopped making them long ago actually because I much prefer spending my time on the long informative videos as you clearly noticed. I appreciate your feedback though, not everyone knows to criticize and remain kind and polite 🙏🙂
