I went to hotels/motels during ski season & I really enjoyed it. I had been used to the hassle of Airbnb. It was nice and the free breakfast was great.
Exactly right. My wife and I first look at Airbnb for every trip we take, but since 2019 we’ve ended up at hotels every time. Give me a hotel room with a fridge, microwave, coffee maker, throw in free breakfast, treat me like a valued customer instead of an enemy, and no cleaning fees, then BOOM, Airbnb is dead to me.
Hotels clean though and replace towels and have amenities. Even if it’s slightly more $

A “guru” recently said on clubhouse that Airbnb would be worthless and pointless in the next 1.5 to 2 years and that it was a race to the bottom and he was going to sell his company. He has 100+. What is your take on that? Is there validity to his hypothesis?
Wouldn't that same thought apply to hotels? Hotels do well & have been around for centuries. many more hotels than urban/unique STRs.

Hotels don’t make you cleanup before you leave.
I've never stayed at a property on Airbnb where I had to clean up either.
Much prefer hotels; and they don’t give u a hard time if you come late to check in
I did a few times. They even explicitly tell you
@@shorttermsage you’ve never stayed at an Airbnb where they give you “check-out” procedures which include housekeeping items that you normally wouldn’t do if you were staying at a hotel????? I call bull……
I agree if they are no threat why do they lobby to ban air bnb?
